Uh oh.
Majani made this guy upset. Mentally cringed, she then fidgeted a little when nervousness consumed her.
"It means grass." she replied awkwardly.
That's when the other swished his tail and proceeded to splash water to her still wet fur.
"Hey! I know I'm wet already, but you don't need to wet me more."
She swished her tail back at the other palui.
"Now you need to pay for my laundry!" or that was his human owner often said.
"Or, or...treat me berries! Or something!"

Ootoro sweatdropped. He had no idea he his one and only tail was splashing water at the previously comatose Palui. Then he did a side tilt with his head. What the bloody hell was laundry?
Ootoro felt like the awkward turtle in the water. He had no idea what to do.
Waving the metaphorical white flag he suggested, "Hey, since we met under such clandestine means let us give each other nicknames? You'll be Grass, I can be fish and uh... are you hungry? This water has great FISH"
"Hey, we have the same type of tail!"

Nicknames? It was indeed weird since they've just met each other not even more than an hour ago, but Majani was willing to do anything to get rid of this awkward situation, so she shrugged it off.
And she was also hungry. Her stomach rumbled when she heard the word "FISH".
"Well, that was what I try to do before you came. Fish."
Or maybe that was she supposed to do instead daydreaming about fish and berries. She turned her glance to other side to hide her embarrassed face.
That was when she noticed the other palui has the same tail as her.
"Hey, you're also a lion palui?"
The name was given to those with lion traits by other palui. It was something she proud of. That tail of hers.

Ootoro did the "JAZZ HANDS" thing in the air in elation!
He never had met another lion palui, but knew they existed. Somewhere on the Island.
His one and only tail was now the subject of much admiration. As it should be. Sure, they could go on talking about differences and catching up but they had much more pressing matters to attend. Food. Fishing. Time to eat his namesake.
"Ah, so you're a fisher, too?! Great. Let's Fish. Now. " his stomach grumbled emphatically. Majani and him were like two noisy machines, with their stomaches being the dictators of their microcosm.
"Where do you want to fish? The east bank here or further down?"
