"My only comfort," he sneered in response to Tae-yul, "is that there will be a nice pocket of 'ell 'specially reserved for you." Neil didn't feel it necessary to share his somewhat more altruistic reasons for accepting the title with the store owner, as it seemed to him the young man had sunk into the madness of his dealings. Even with his lack of faith, his lack of belief in anything good, he still did not condone with Tae-yul did.

He wasn't done. Rounding on Hae-min, he snapped back at her. "It's ye'own damn 'ouse! Ye willingly 'ave given it te these monsters t'conduct their ways, 'ow can ye possibly claim ignorance?" Neil had to bite back a sharp barb of recruiting her 'friends,' and to ask why Brad hadn't been a part of the madness...but that was low, even for him. Even if his grief-stricken heart wanted to see her own features contorted with misery, so she might know a fraction of what she had subjected him to--

And that was when he realized just how much of a hold his own Sin had on him. Taking a deep breath, his fingers laced through Soah's hair gently, he turned his steely eyes back to Tae-yul. "I dinnae care about ye'pets. There's a fancy window right there and I am nae above inflicing 'arm t'be free of ye and ye'childish games."

Neil knew Astaroth wouldn't let anything happen to him personally, as she was still invested in his future thanks to their contract. It might piss her off, but he would use it to his advantage if it meant being free of these insane people. He could tell she knew he was serious, because she took another step towards him, her gaze darkening in the slightest.

"Heey...!" Mandy didn't want to get up! What a jerkoff. She tugged her hand back once he let go and stared down this Asian, her arms akimbo. "I just slept a week in this house, I don't expect anything anymore alright? No need to get sassy with me, boy..." Not that she was a feminazi or anything, but something about being called woman by a man just pissed her off. Especially, one wearing a dress.

What a bunch of rejects this house held. She thought this whole experience would be a grand spectacle, all the Sins together to thwart good and spread cankerous evil, and it was, but... for all the wrong reasons. He already wanted to rattle the little boy's brain in his thick little skull (she wasn't a big fan of children).

But she was with Neil on one thing, she wanted to leave too. This was boooring! She wanted to go home, go to work, plunder as usual and get on down the road. Mandy glanced a look at Grigsby and found he was bristling with energy. Guess things were more serious than she thought.

"Greetings." Was all Claire could get out in return to Tae-yul before the explosive comments from Neil sent her pressing against the now closed door she and Ifrit had just come through. Two seconds through the door and the room had started getting angry. What the hell?

Ifrit on the other hand flinched, bringing his head into his hands and rocking from side to side. If light made a hangover bad, shouting made it worse. He glowered, holding each temple in one hand.

"What the hell is going on in here? Barely two steps in and there's a world class shouting contest going on!" His eyes trailed from Neil to Tae-yul and then to the other faces. "I am way too hungover for this right now."

"Don't mind him." Claire said hastily, not wanting to be shouted at herself. "He's...Ah..." She trailed off and went quiet, crossing her arms under her bosom and slouching against the door. Shutting up now.

He whimpered softly as Neil's arms tightened around him, not because it caused him any discomfort, but because he could sense just how angry the older man was. Soah stiffened, his eyes opening to peer at the fabric of Neil's shirt. He didn't dare look up into Neil's face. He didn't want to see the anger, even if he was silently aghast that Neil was outright attack Hae-min verbally. Of course, he couldn't blame Neil, but fighting wasn't what he wanted. He just wanted Neil to hold him and tell him that it would all be okay, and this was definitely not what Neil was doing. Yet, he couldn't find the courage to voice his opinion. No, he just let Neil hold him.

But, he was feeling Neil's anger rise, hearing words that he would never have expected to hear his lover say pour out of his lips. With a little shudder, he reached his arm up so that his fingers could press gently against Neil's jawline. "Neil... Neil, let's just leave. Don't fight with them. Let's just go. I want to go." He wasn't even sure if Neil would listen to him, but he had to try and talk to his lover. What kind of lover would he be if he didn't try to strike some common sense into the very person he cherished the most?

He glanced around the room to the best of his ability, and silently wondered if these people would let him leave. Martel hadn't let him leave, at least not without telling him that if he did he'd probably and most likely die. These people were clearly on her side, whichever side that was, and if they weren't going to let them leave... would they fight back? Soah wasn't sure he was up for a brawl. He wasn't up for anything right now. He just wanted to go home.

"And what would you mean by that," he said to Neil, deadly quiet. He could barely be heard over the man's tirade at his sister, but his meaning was clear enough. Tae-yul watched, momentarily fascinated, at the play of emotions across his sister's face. Of course he had known Min would never choose to do something like this- she'd slapped him when he first suggested summoning her demon, even if it had been for a good reason, even if she knew the reason. But the look on her face here- it went from outrage, to confusion, to some kind of abject sadness tinged with disgust.

As curious as he was, he didn't have time to worry over his sister's mood swings. "That's interesting," he said to Mandy, deadpan. "Would you like to change, then?" If she'd been in those clothes for a week, well... He didn't want to think about that either.

He shrugged one more time and looked over at Claire. "Not everything circles about your center of gravity, Gluttony. This would appear to just be Akedia venting his spleen at us."

Claire pointed at Ifrit.

"I meant don't mind him. He starts spewing things when he's hungover...That's all..." Again trailing off in a quiet voice and pressing more against the door to look as small and out of the way as possible. She eyed her demon warily, trying to catch his eye and silently tell him to shut his trap. Finally she did.

Ifrit made a face at her and relented. Hungover or not, best not piss off Sins. The fire demon regarded the participants in this little fest and let them carry on, leaning against the wall behind himself, hands still at his temples.

She really didn't like this guy. Like really. He was a big catty a*****e that needed to a good kick to his nuts til they were lodged in his throat. "I don't think your bras could fit me, miss thang..." And she left it at that, clearly not going to win this one. God this room just made her so angry! She was a naturally annoyed person, but this seemed a bit out of hand. If they were all sins then this pair was no more in command than she ******** this. Mandy walked for the door. "When you guys are done hosing down this room with testosterone, tears and angst, let me know mmmkay?" With that she left with Grim, not too sure if she wanted to find her bedroom or go find Lucifuge and the mistress. At least they weren't annoying. What did he say? They were downstairs? Well that's where she went. If nothing else maybe they had a TV or something.

Fingers on his jaw snapped him back to reality, blinking and turning his heated gaze back to Soah. His expression shifted from annoyed anger to something decidedly more gentle, nodding a little and kissing the teen's brow. "I'm sorry, Soyah," he murmured softly so that only the teen could hear, "let's go then." The rage left him as quickly as it had taken him; he decided then he was unwilling to banter with the Mhin siblings any further.

His ribs were still sore, perhaps more so from the outburst, so when he released the teen it was with a small amount of discomfort. The red-head gingerly took Soah's hand, squeezing it and keeping him close, pointedly ignoring the brother-sister duo and their terrible mindsets. Neil wanted nothing more to do with them, and, following Mandy's lead, decided it was high time to go home. He also moved to the door, eyes shifting over Claire, recognition and surprise briefly dotting his features. His mind briefly tried to twist into an ugly idea of another 'friend,' but he squashed it, perhaps wisely so. "Claire," he greeted her politely, as though he hadn't just been trying to chew Tae-yul's head off. He kept Soah close, to his side and away from everyone else, certainly not willing to subject the teen to anyone's clutches.

Astaroth was quiet for her part, immediately disinterested in Neil's plight as the outside influence of the other Sins seemed to leave him. She was a step ahead of them as they made their way to the door, eyes resting momentarily on her Ifrit but otherwise retaining her silence. The Prince had no idea what would have come of her answering to her human's call, but it was delicious agony, every second of it.

Grigsby growled and turned his ruby red eyes back up the stairs. But Mandy heard it too. Someone walking. Tsh, she hoped that asshat Tae-yul wasn't coming for her. She wasn't leaving! She waited in the corridor until two faces appeared.

Ohhh good. Her bored face lit up with a horrible smile. "Run out of manjuice already there, sparky?"

He was above anger at Mandy, so he let her go. Actually, he had gone beyond rage at most of the people in this room, and would have loved to just unleash everything at them- it was different now that he was a Sin. But he did love his sister. And Hae-min would have been very disappointed in him if he had struck out at them. "Nuna," was all he said; she didn't look away from the window.

Out in the hallway, Lamia uncurled and stretched across the top of the stairs with a sibilant hiss. Mandy, all right, she'd let that one through. But this one was new. She didn't reckon on scaring Neil but Pride would be easy enough to disturb- especially in the now-warmly lit hallway. All of her was on display, the long tail and bloody, gaping hole in her throat, the empty sockets, her oil-streaked black hair. "Pet, am I?"

Claire quickly and silently moved off of the door and next to Ifrit who was still leaning on the wall. Good timing too as Mandy stormed through hell bent to get out of there. Actually, that didn't seem like too bad of an idea either. As she was address by a still steaming Neil she nodded.

"Neil." The only word spoken before he too had gone out the door. Claire looked up at her demon who was watching the procession out the door.

Ifrit was disinterested in the humans but as Astaroth glanced at him he dropped his hands and put on a thin grin that vanished fast. He knocked his summoner in the arm, much to her displeasure, but nodded toward the door before leaving through it. He did not go far, just out the door and down the hall before stopping and waiting.

"Mine field."

Claire followed suit, wondering where the group was going. She would have gone further if invited, but having not she waited, watching Lamia just a ways away at the top of the stairs.

He was relieved to see that anger drain out of Neil's face, and he was even more glad to have his Neil back. Besides, they were going to leave, and maybe everything would seem better once they were in the security of their home. He could tell Neil what had gone on when he met Martel, and then they could comfort each other in the warm confines of Brad's home. He just wanted to curl up on the couch with his lover, and maybe put in some funny movie to chase away all the bad and fresh memories. So, he was more than eager to leave when Neil started guiding them to the door, and out they were, only for their path to be obstructed by Lamia.

But, for now his attention was fixed on Mandy, his indigo eyes hardening uncharacteristically. "You wanna keep your mouth and your tits in check?" he shot viciously back, in no mood to be letting her pick at Neil, so much that he didn't care that he wasn't normally so rude. She could kindly go ******** off for all he cared.

Not feeling any better despite the comment he had made to Mandy, he turned his gaze to Lamia, steeling himself to be more polite. "Could you please move out of the way?" He tried not to let himself get intimidated. He tried not to let his fear of the demon take control of him. He was technically on her side now, so she wouldn't do anything to harm him or Neil. He just had to keep telling himself that, and then she didn't seem like all that threatening of a creature. Of course, it was still unnerving to cast his gaze upon her, to see the hollow of her throat, and the blood dripping down her cheeks.

Ohh this was too perfect! This little boy was easy to push, and push she would. "Aww what's wrong honey? Lil cranky... Maybe your sugar daddy should put you to bed." Mandy laughed maniacally as if she was possessed. It was as if something subconscious surfaced obtrusively. It was dark and hateful and she welcomed it. "Really? Are you serious?! He's twelve! Ohhh lord, this is just too sweet. How do you not split him in half?!"

"Ohh so now you watch your manners..." She looked back at the familiar Lamia. Whoa, she must have gone through some hard times. But she was still pretty. Mandy always thought she was pretty. He scaly skin shined like precious gems. And she wanted to see this pretty beastie tear that filthy tongue of his right out.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 12, 2008 7:11 pm

A polite nod to Claire at her acknowledgement, and the three were out the door, no sooner out of sight of it than stopped by the bloody horror that Lamia presented. He was distinctly aware that they had yet another demon to tango with, and as the words were somehow hissed through the viscerated threads of the snake-demon's throat, Neil felt rather impassive about the whole ordeal. It was like some mad house that had gone so beyond insane it wasn't even frightening.

He had a nice, snappy retort for both the females, but he was silenced as Soah took over, his face blank at the words that the teen spouted. It should have struck him as funny to hear Soah be so nasty for a change, but given the circumstances, he could only stand there like a statue without a word of thought or opinion. Mandy's strange and uninspired insults weren't enough to raise and reaction out of the red-head, who wanted sorely to be rid of the whole place.

The Prince had paused a short ways from the foursome, slender arm outstretching to stop Claire and Ifrit from proceeding. She watched the drama unfold, eyes moving between the two male and two female actors, decidedly unimpressed.

Bickering could be heard from the hall, and the source of this was Hilaire and Lucifer. When they burst into the room, Hilaire had a violent green aura surrounding her. "You can't be like that to people! Real people have real feelings! You can't act like an arrogant p***k all the time and expect to get away with it."

She was furious, and there was no way she was going to let him get away with it again. Lucifer's attitude was getting to be unbearable. "What is your damned problem anyway? You already get everything you want. So what could make you so pissy!?"

Lucifer's face showed anger, yet he didn't open his mouth to speak.

"Now you are quiet?! I can't believe you..." She would have slapped him had he not begun pointing behind her. She spun around to see many other people in the room. Hilaire then remembered why she was there. She blushed in embarrassment and gave a slight giggle. "Sorry about that...I guess I'm pretty late huh..."
