Once reaching the dry soil of land, Sengdroma turned her eyes focusing once again on the creature that inhabited Maion's locks of mane. Her ears came to alert as Elijah spoke, not realizing that Elijah asked her question in terms of friends, Sengdroma blushed and blinked a few times. Curious little creature Elijah was, putting Sengdroma on the spot like that.
Sengdroma looked from Elijah to Maion, her eyes wide and not sure how, or even if, to answer that question at the present time. If she didn't answer, Maion might believe that she didn't like him...but if she did, oh how embarassing of a situation. She couldnt' just stand there though.
Giving just one simple and quick nod of the head, Sengdroma answered 'yes', the embarassment of it all rose her temperature in her cheeks by a few degrees she was sure.
After a moment, curiousity again got the best of Sengdroma, she wanted to see more than just the face of Maion's companion. She moved cautiously over so that she could reach Maion's mane, gently taking strands into her mouth moving them so that she could see. She smiled at the sight of Elijah clinging to Maion, seemingly just enjoying her ride as if she had always been there.

Elijah wiggled her nose one more in satisfaction at the nod, although she was a little curious why it had taken her so long to answer such a simple question. “I approve.” She jumped softly from Maion’s main landing on the soft ground with a gentle thump. Flexing her muscles she yawned lazily at the world around, she rarely walked these days except in the cave while Maion slept, it was surprisingly nice. The small fox scanned the world around her curiously, it was a beautiful place, yet there was far too much water for her liking. It was a strange irony that she had decided to stay with a creature that loved the Ocean so much since it was her greatest fear, yet he had protected her through everything and she would be eternally grateful. Her life was in his debt yet he would not accept that, after all he had saved her.
Turning her head back towards the mare she smiled, “Maion is a good friend.”
--------------------------------------------------
Maion watched curiously as Elijah left his mane; she rarely did that these days. Smiling he allowed his eyes to look at Moon, she looked enchanting and as she nodded he found a soft blush filled his cheeks, he was unsure how Elijah had targeted her question or how Moon had interpreted it, but either way she had agreed. Assuming that she must have meant as a friend he found it comforting, it was nice to know she felt that way. Elijah approved… the small foxes words echoed inside his head, she had approved to very few things in the past and he had known her for years. Watching and listening he couldn’t help but blush and lower his head so that neither of them could see, he felt suddenly uncomfortable as if this was a girly conversation he was overhearing by accident. Unsure what to do he moved a step back nervously, what should he do? Unsure he listened perhaps Moon would reply in someway to Elijah’s words, raising his head he watched her.

Sengdroma moved a few steps back as Elijah made her way to the earth from Maion's mane. She watched as the small fox took in the sights around her. Her pelt matched Maions, no wonder Sengdroma had not spotted bits of her before now. She smiled and thought to herself how perfect of a traveling companion she must be.
She lowered her head down to Elijah's level so that she could hear her better. When Elijah spoke of Maion, Sengdroma's eyes wandered up to view him without lifting her head. Sengdroma nodded her head yes as she looked back down to Elijah. Playfully, Sengdroma nibbled gently at the tuft of fur that poofed up between Elijah's ears. Sengdroma wanted Elijah to know that she 'approved' of her as well.
For a moment, Sengdroma forgot that Maion was there watching the two of them 'speak'. She suddenly felt bad for slobbering on his friend, perhaps that was unacceptable? Her head shot up and she looked over to Maion with an appologetic look. Maybe she should have asked first before grooming the fox, she might not have appreciated it. Sengdroma got a bit nervous as she realized that she might not have acted proplerly.

Maion smiled more as Moon attempted to groom Elijah, it reminded him of the first time she had braided his hair, she had done it without asking him and then had a similar look on her face as if she may have done something wrong, but before he could tell her it was all ok Elijah spoke up. “Thanks.” Elijah smiled at Moon before slinking towards her, Maion’s heart began to race, was Elijah really going to do what he thought she was going to do?
As he watched Elijah moved slowly towards the mares leg before rubbing herself gently across her damp fur. Words were not needed.
Feeling slightly jealous Maion found himself walking towards her also, step by step she got closer, her scent filled his nose, slowly he moved his muzzle closer to her before moving the wet strands of hair out of her face and standing tall to look at her clear face once more. “I missed you Moon.” Another slip of the tongue, it seemed to happen every time he was around her, as if he simply spoke his mind without considering the consequence, a small wave of panic flooded over him as he watched her, a gentle flush of pink filling his cheeks.

Her eyes followed Elijah as she gingerly made her way towards her, she smiled at the act of acceptance. Sengdroma bobbed her head several times, her smile never fading, before looking up.
She locked her eyes on Maion as he too moved towards her, her head lowered just a bit under his touch. The heat again filled her cheeks. "What's wrong with me?" she thought to herself as she stood there, entranced by his touch.
Her head lifted quickly when he said he missed her, had he really? Her heart sung to her, perhaps...perhaps he felt the same way she did? No, it was still too early for that notion. She appreciated him moving the wet strands that had stuck themself to her cheekbone, it cleared her vision and she could once again see without obstruction.
Looking past his face, she noted that the ends of his wings were soaked. The feathers dripped with water, they looked a bit heavy. The moon had finally risen into the sky, Sengdroma knew that she would only have a few hours with Maion before he would again retreat to the skies, returning to where ever it was he came from. She didn't want to waste any time that she was gifted with.
Turning her head slightly, she caught glimpse of an area of earth that was illuminated by the moon's soft beams. Slowly Sengdroma began to walk to that spot. Surely Maion would like to rest before he took flight again, perhaps finding a place to lower his body would reduce the weight of his wings. An image flashed through her mind, a day dream one would say. She saw an image of the pair, side by side bedded down, the moon again a spotlight on their bodies. She shook her head quickly, blushing at the thought.

Elijah looked at Maion once more; her mind wandering what the friendly giant was thinking could he possibly have feelings for this female? That was a notion that she had felt would never come, he didn’t usually stay in one place too long unless you counted his home and the Ocean, most he encounters could be compared to two butterflies bumping into each other and for a moment there was magic but it faded all too quickly and once again it would be just the two of them travelling together, yet something was different this time, his eyes sparkled with a flame she had never seen him in before, it glowed like a pilot light waiting for kindle to explode into a wave of magnificent flames of orange and red. It was sight she hoped was delayed for a while, there was still so much she wanted to do with Maion and another woman would surely just get in the way, especially one who could not fly. Sighing, ashamed at herself for thinking such horrible things she began to clamber back into her hiding place in Maion’s locks. His hair was beginning to dry now under the sparkling moonlight.
------------------------------------------
A slightly smug smile remained peel upon Maions lips as he followed Moon, he had no idea where she was taking yet he trusted her. His dampen wings felt heavy, each feather being weighted down by the extra weight from the water, he knew he would not be able to fly properly in this condition but there were still many hours of the night left before he needed to return home. Flapping them gentle behind him he attempted to remove any excess droplets of water, they showered to the ground like a small rain storm before Maion tucked his wings back towards his body once more.
With each step his hooves dug into the ground below, as they moved towards the point that Moon was leading them too. His tail swayed from side to side happily, and he felt himself worrying less and less about his concerns of the world beyond this clearing, that could wait until this magical moment had ended. Something fluttered in his stomach as he caught up to Moon, feelings he did not understand, was it possible he was falling for her? Or where they feelings of protection towards an important friend? He did not fully understand, yet he hoped that time would reveal the answers.

Finally reaching the moonlit patch of earth, Sengdroma turned to make sure that Maion and Elijah were following her. Elijah apparently had taken back to her hiding place as she wasn't found on the ground any longer. She wanted Maion to rest, knowing he would need energy for his flight home...home? She only assumed that's where he would be going. Sengdroma wasn't quite sure how to get Maion to rest while she gathered food for the three of them. Thought Elijah had retreated, Sengdroma would still bring berries in case the small fox found her stomach to be empty.
Sengdroma finally lowered her body to the ground, moving her head to invite Maion to rest with her. "Will he think it's a bit much? Am I over doing it?" she thought to herself. She didn't want Maion to think she was inviting him for anything improper, but she knew no other way to show him what she wanted. Once she got him resting, she would get up and make her way to nearby berry bushes. The berries were in the perfect stage for eating, plump and sweet.
Looking up at from her place on the ground, Sengdroma's blue eyes met the gaze of Maion's own blue eyes, the stars and moonlight seemed to dance in the reflection that they cast. She wanted to know more about him... Where he comes from...why he really returned. There was no way for her to know if she didn't ask...Dare she?

Maion followed her lead, he had no reason to mistrust her, she had been such a magnificently gentle creature who had captivated him from the first moment his eyes had laid sight upon her, yet he was unsure if the notions and images that flowed through his mind like a movie could be deemed acceptable, he lowered his head softly as he walked his Mothers face taunting him with each step, he was of the Angeni, a breed held in high regard, yet his heart longed for a connection on the ground, a place and a way to escape his ties and to find his own happiness, true happiness.
Raising his head softly once more she watched as she lowered herself gracefully to the ground, the Moon shone upon her, and as he starred he could not help but stop in his tracks. He had dubbed her his Moon, and now, sat beneath the glow of the Moon she looked just like it, “magnificent.” He mumbled, yet the word rolled from his mouth like an unexpected change in the weather, he seemed to lose all sense of composure around her, use and lost like a puppy looking for a home. Shaking his mane swiftly he continued towards her, hoping she had not noticed he moment of weakness.
Her actions indicated that she wished for him to join her, yet now it felt almost as if it was wrong, as if he had already broken some sort of unwritten rule about the opposite gender. A soft blush swirled across his face like leaves caught in a storm, he was unsure about himself.
Lowering his body slowly he settled next to her, and although his heart wanted to caress her side he thought she would run away in terror, thinking him un-gentlemanly, sighing he allowed his eyes to settle upon her, she was beautiful, forcing himself to watch the blades of grass as the swayed lazily in the breeze that caressed the land warmly. He spoke, a soft tremble hidden within his voice, he prayed that she did not think any less of him; although he had to admit to himself that it was difficult to know how she felt as he could not read her thoughts. “Thank you.” Although it was likely that she would not understand what he was thanking her about, it felt right, she was one of the only mares he had met who hadn’t attempt to wrestle every scrap of information out of him, who hadn’t tried to steal the knowledge of his memories in a pathetic attempt to feel closer to him.

Her eyes followed him as he drew closer, finally coming to rest on the ground next to her. Now, the task...getting him to rest while she foraged. It wouldn't take her long to bring back enough for the three of them. She allowed Maion to get settled before gathering her legs beneath her, once again rising to her feet. Slowly she moved around to Maions side, lowering her head, she gently took her nose beneath his wing to spread it out. The feathers needed air to dry, having them spread would help. Once she was done on the first side, she moved to his other, gently doing to same to that wing. Once she was please with how they were placed, she made her way in front of Maion so that it was easier for him to see her. She tilted her head slightly as if asking if he were okay like that.
As she waited to see his reaction, she stood there silent as always, admiring how graceful his wings looked spread in all their glory. She believed they were actually larger than her father's, something she never thought was possible. As she stood there, she ever so slightly moved her jaw without opening her mouth. Her brain telling her to speak, she fought the notion. Her mind spun with options. She should tell him her name, he deserves her name. She should ask if he's comfortable, what if he stays in that position, in agony, just because she placed him there? Her eyes searched his expression for any signs of uncomfort.
If he started to rise, she would shake her head "no". Perhaps he would understand what she's asking of him.

Maion allowed his feathers to spread as she gentle moved them, her touch felt tender even through the dampness and the cold that had settled in within his wings, the colouration of each feather looking grey and heavy as they flexed softly. Unsure what to do or think he resisted the urge to get to his feet also, she seemed to want to help him yet he was unsure why, yet he left a warm feeling dripping through his body at the thought that she cared enough to offer her assistance. Wings laying flat upon the ground, they ruffled slightly as the wind billowed across them, heaviness set in as he felt a sudden desire to lower his head to the ground, yet with Moon standing before him he daren’t. He returned her friendly gaze, his eyes twinkling like icy stars in the sky, a kindness laced with happiness hidden within them.
Still smiling he watched her, the way her hair flowed in the wind, causing each strand to dance and move in a way he had never noticed before. He enjoyed the way his heart thumped with a steady rhythm within his chest, a silent internal song, a written harmony for only her. Shaking his heart in an effort to suppress his thoughts he found himself feeling guilty again, such thoughts where inappropriate. Yet his eyes smiled their silent song towards her, he was happy, he was comfortable; everything seemed new and fresh, unlike anything he had felt before. As watched her he couldn’t help but gaze into her eyes, he spoke softly "Are you ok Moon?" Still smiling, his teeth revealed to be as bright as the moon itself, "can I help you with something?"

Her smile broadened when he asked if she was okay. She was wonderful, not a complaint to be made. When he asked if he needed to help, she quickly shook her head, her mane shifting side to side gently.
She turned taking a few steps in the direction of the berry bushes, looking back over her shoulder for a moment to make sure Maion wasn't following. Seeing that he was still at rest, she turned her head back around and made her way to the bushes.
Red, plump, and delicious. Sengdroma used her nose to move the outer most leaves and berries out of her way, taking the branch near the base of the tree she snapped them off one by one laying them on the ground in a neat order. Once she had snapped enough off she gathered them by the end of the limb in her mouth, slowly and cautiously making her way back to Maion and the hiding Elijah.
On her return, her lips curled at the edges forming a wonky smile due to the hanging limbs. Gently she lowered her head and released them onto the ground in front of Maion. Using her nose, she nudged them forward, asking him to eat. Once she was sure he understood, she too lowered her body to the ground, this time in front of him instead of beside him. She wanted to be able to look at him while they 'talked'.

As she walked away from him he felt his heart sink slightly within his chest, was she leaving, disappearing without a trace? It missed a beat. Sadness loomed. His head swelled with a despair he could not express; perhaps he had offended her with his mindless slip ups. He was a moron for attempting to befriend such a beauty. His mind lingered to his quest for a rose, had it all been in vain? Sighing he lowered his head to the ground, mind frantically thinking about the events that had driven her away, yet as he the thought tumbled through his mind like a loose weed upon the dusty dessert landscape he realised that she had been smiling, kindness at lingered behind her eyes not distress or despair of any type.
Hope galloped forth like a herd who had finally returned home after a rough journey, it was possible she would return, raising his head he scanned the surroundings, watching and waiting for Moon to appear in his line of sight once more. The anticipation lay heavy on his mind, as he shuck his hair softly so his locks swayed limply around him.
As he watched she appeared again, a vision of radiance upon a blanket of darkness, she stood out, glowing in his mind with each footstep. In that moment he felt as if he could never bare being apart from her again, yet almost as quickly as it came it faded, surely he was silly about the whole thing, this was after all only their second meeting. Yet as his eyes met hers the smile that covered his face portrayed the greatest happiness and intent that he had ever experienced in his life. It was strange, something had caught him in a net and although he struggled to escape it had trapped it, now it was toying with him. It was his move.
"Thank you." The only words that left his lips as he continued to stare slightly at her mesmerizing beauty.

She blinked, turning her head slightly in a modest manner as Maion continued to look at her instead of at the berries she had offered. Slowly, she nosed the berries towards him. She would take a few for herself once he had begun. She worried slightly, what if he didn't like berries? She hoped that he would think they were a treat just like she did.
She lifted her eyes to meet his gaze, her heart was singing but her mind told her she was being foolish. She couldn't help but to wonder what intentions this stallion had. Did she really care? Ever night for two weeks she had watched the skies until she could no longer hold open her eyes. Every night for two weeks, she pleaded with the spirits to allowe Maion to return.
Out of the blue, and with a slight shock to herself, Sengdroma's mouth moved and uttered her first word. "Sengdroma" she stated softly. "My name is Sengdroma. she said in her mind.
Maion had gifted her with the name "Moon", and to him, that's what she would rather be. Thought her name was Sengdroma, she wanted his name. To him, she wanted to be Moon. It sounded like so much more when the name rolled from his tongue...
Her mouth snapped shut tightly, a quizzital look on her face. Had she just done that? Had she really broken her vow of silence for this stallion? No...Maybe she only thought she had actually said her name. She hadn't spoken to anyone, not even her parents!

Blinking, a fast flush of red charging to his cheeks as embarrassment set in, he had only just realised he had been staring at her and not at her gift. Berries, they seemed familiar, he had collected them in a forest only the week before for a stallion called Scythe, they where a gift for his mate. Where these berries now to be considered a treat just like those Scythe had gifted to his family? Smiling he nodded before lowering his head to eat several of the plump berries. Their juices squished and squelched within his mouth, succulent juices dribbled down his mouth leaving a line of red tinting the white of his lip. This too was a familiar image. Suppressing his thoughts he looked up at Moon, she was glowing in the ambiance of the night. And then she did something that he had never expected from her, she spoke, he watched slightly taken aback.
The word fluttered through the air, dancing and weaving as it approached, Sengdroma it was a beautiful word yet he knew nothing of it. Perhaps it was her true name? How far he had been from the truth by calling her Moon. How silly she must see him now. Sighing he stood to his feet, a happy smile peeled upon his lips as his jewel like eyes twinkled like the stars, he stepped towards her, mane sway softly in the breeze, heart racing as he approached. Slowly he began to move his muzzle in closer before he touched her neck, stroking it gentle. He then paused, his lips inches away from her delicate ear, and he then repeated her word in a whisper, “Sengdroma.” Pulling away softly he blinked a few times, hoping she would not fade away from his side, he was unsure how to take her sudden ability to talk yet he didn’t care. He had loved every moment, cherished every second of their time together and now she had just given him the greatest gift of all, her true name. And although his mind recorded it, his heart fluttered towards her knowing that to him she would always be his Moon.
He bowed his head low, smiling still like a Cheshire cat, before speaking once more, “Thank you, for gifting me with your name.”

She watched with delight as he enjoyed the berries that she had brought for him. Grateful that he seemed pleased as the taste rolled over his tongue.
Seeing the expression on his face, she realized that she had indeed spoken out loud. She turned her head away in embarassment for a moment. How foolish she must look now...not having spoken to him before. As she looked away, she heard him stand and approach her closer, she could feel his breath on her ear. It flickered, but only once. Her name rolling from his lips sounded beautiful, but not as beautiful as Moon had. She opened her eyes adn turned to face him, her nose almost touching his. Softly, she spoke again. "I prefer Moon." she smiled up at him.
She wasn't sure what had made her speak, she had never had the desire to speak to anyone really. Even though words had escaped her mouth, she doubted she would speak to others. Maion...Maion would be the only captor of her words. For now at least.
She wondered what he thought of her now. Would he think she had been hiding the truth? Would he leave after the night and not return. She hadnt' meant to be deceptful of him, truely she hadn't. She hoped he would understand.
