Estelle nodded, she had lived alone for what felt like an eternity now, her past still hung bitterly on her mind as she thought about it. She had run away from home as a young filly, too afraid of her Fathers judgement of her, he never understood. Sighing she looked to the sky, perhaps it was fate that made her leave, and then ripped out her heart as her closest companion ripped out her heart by betraying her, plunging her into the realm of loneliness once more. Yet, as she lowered her head once more she wondered if it had all really been that bad? She loved her home, and although she had no friends to speak of she was happy with the odd company she managed to experience. What seemed to consume her life more were the stars, they twinkled and sparkled with welcoming warmth, and through out her travels she noted that they always twinkled the same, just in different constellations and orders.

The Usidia watched the other Soquili, growing a little uneasy as Estelle looked forlorn. "I'm...sorry for asking." She murmured softly. It appeared that she had prodded into a rather...delicate topic. The history of others often seemed painful; Reikon had refused to say anything about his to her, and she respected that.
She lived by herself as well, so she knew how lonely it could get at times.

Estelle shrugged lightly trying to forget the conversation they had been having. Slowly she heaved herself to her feet, a little wobbly at first until she found her centre of balance. Her breath was steady although her mind wandered through conversations of her past as well as those she predicted she would have in the future. Perhaps she was destined to be alone, a creature of the night when most seemed to prefer the night, a creature of a solitary tree when most preferred the forest. Why have an insignificant creature such as herself when you could take home a prize such as an Angeni.
Although Estelle knew she still have much of the world left to see she could not have felt more alone than she did in that single moment. Turning her head to the small purple Usdia that moments before seemed so pleasant she spoke in a mumbled voice, "no need to apologise." She did not sit, she did not move. Her mind began to race with her options, she could run, force herself to talk to every creature the world had to offer, surely she would find someone who could at least stand to be around her the way she was? Surely? No?!
The familiar self hatred bubbled up within her, perhaps her father had been right, she was the freak of nature.

"Perhaps one day," The usdia said gently, finding courage in the the glow of the stars in the dark sky, "we will have a family of our own." She turned, smiling at the mare. "I'm sure then, though life may be busy, it will be happier."

Estelle nodded, her eyes dreaming of the very thought. "We can only hope."
THE END. (Seems like a good place to finish)
