Giggling softly Fonn smiled at Maion. "Okay!" She paused for a moment, realizing a simple flaw in her change in topic. She had no clue where any food was. She looked down at the grass at her hooves; it wouldn't be acceptable. She wasn't picky, but with the change in mood she thought a treat of some sort would be appropriate. She flicked her tail, tones ringing from it like chimes. She turned, looked about, but nothing was in sight.

'Well, It's time to look then!' She thought to herself. She looked over her shoulder at Maion, giving a soft grin. "Lets go find some then!" She didn't want to look on her own. She feared she would forget him if she did, something she never wanted to do.

Maion looked at Fonn with glassy eyes. He scanned the area with his eyes he could see some trees at the edge of plain, yet he couldn’t tell if they bore any fruit or not. He nodded in her request to search together, it sounded like a nice plan, a mini adventure.

She moved his head softly indicating that they should head towards the tree line, perhaps they would find apples or oranges. He knew that he could fly there more quickly than if they walked together yet there was a nice feeling in the sentiment of walking together.

Taking smaller steps that usual so that he did not move too quickly for her he headed towards the tree line.

Fonn giggled and trotted after Maion. She had an urge to run, to play. Something about being happy mad her want to do so. She followed Maion as he headed towards the trees, he seemed so serious in her eyes. With a chuckle she flicked her tail and tossed her mane, the flames leaping and dancing around her face. She turned her trot into a gallop and rushed past Maion.

She ran out a ways in front of him before she stopped and turned, a bright smile on her face as she looked to Maion. "Race you there!" She chuckled and took off once again, making a bee line for the trees. She knew he was larger than she, that he could most likely win; but she didn't care, it was the fun of the game she ran for, not the win. She hopped Maion would run with her, it'd do him good to play she thought.

Slightly shocked at being knocked out of the way he paused for a moment, a stunned feeling flooded his body freezing him to the spot. Yet as quickly as the feeling appeared it disappeared once more. She wanted to play? She wanted to play with him? It was a strange notion yet one that he embraced full heartedly. If she wanted to run then they would indeed run.

Flapping his great wings above his head he flapped them behind him s that he hover forward as he jumped forward into a run, he pace quickened, taking the full extent of his side he closed the gap with every step, yet he wondered if he should let her win? Noting that the tree line was still so far away he felt that he could have a little fun with her first. Taking to the skies he reached her position and circled her gently before hovering gently in front of her and pulling a tongue at her. Then he landed back on the ground a few strides in front of her before continuing the run towards the finish line. It was exhilarating; it had not run like this in such a long time. Not really since he took up his guardianship of the Ocean. He felt instantly more relaxed, free from all his earthly bonds.

As he ran he noted that she was not too far behind him, yet that did not cause him to pick up his pace, he wanted to see if she could pass him at his current speed, knowing full well he would be impressed with her if she did manage it.

Fonn giggled as she heard Maions hoof steps behind her. He was running with her, he was playing with her. Butterflies filled her stomach as she ran. It had been so long since she played with an actual soquili that she almost slowed her pace to let him catch up, just to be fair.

The sound of rushing wind behind her though brought her back from these feelings and she turned her head to look behind her. Maion was gone!! Fear struck her; where had he gone? Had she upset him? A shadow passed over her and around her, circling her slowly as she ran, and her gaze lifted to the sky. Maion, silvery wings spread full out on either side, was flying above her. She watched in awe as he passed her and hovered in front of her, that was until he stuck his tongue out at her. "I'm gonna get you for that!" She called out jokingly, no longer worried about leaving him behind.

She could almost n** his tail if she wanted to she noted, he hadn't landed too far in front of her, but steadily the length between them was getting wider. She quickened her pace once more to try and catch up. Slowly and steadily she gained on him. He was quick for sure, quicker than anyone else she had seen or seemed to have remembered seeing. She pulled up beside him and nipped his mane playfully to let him know she was there. "Told you I'd get you!" She called out between breaths. She was inching her way in front of Maion, but she knew she couldn't push herself any faster. She'd use up too much energy if she did and would burn herself out before she made the tree line.

Maion watched Fonn carefully, trying to feel any changed in her aura. Apart a single moment in time he noted it was unchanging; he turned his head softly as he continued to run she was catching up. Her flickering flames that made up her hair mesmerized him, it was an enchanting sight and for a brief moment he was lost in thoughts that lingered in the back of his mind. Yet he shook it off faintly he needed to concentrate on their current activity.

To his admiration she caught him up, nipping at his main softly, it made him feel light and like a young foal once more. He felt free. Smiling he decided not to speak, he would just continue running by her side, ensuring that he didn’t pick up his pace to pass him but that he didn’t appear too slow either. Although he could have pushed himself a little harder there was no point, he wanted her to feel special, even if was for a brief moment, something told him that she had not felt this way in a long time.

The finish line approached with each step and he slowed his pace in an effort to ensure he didn’t crash into a tree. She had won; walking towards her softly he nuzzled her main in a moment of affection. "Congratulations" he said, with a restored composure. He stood up tall next to her again, smiling happily with a faint pink glow upon his cheeks.

Fonn slowed her pace as she reached the trees and trotted in circles for a moment to cool down. "That was awesome!" she called out, the adrenaline still pumping through her veins. Before she new it Maion was nuzzling her her mane. Butterflies took flight in her stomach and and mer mane leaped and crackled in pleasure. She didn't know what made her feel this way, but it felt good.

She stepped back a bit as she felt Maion stand tall once again. He seemed different, like a great weight had been lifted from his shoulders. "Thank you." She said with a slight blush at his congratulating her. "You sure are fast. I dont know how I won..." She was sure he could have won if he wanted to, he was so quick and bigger than she was, not to mention he could fly. Had he let her win? Maybe he was just out of practice. Either way it didnt matter, it had been fun and they had reached their destination.

She turned and looked about for something to eat. She scanned the trees, but no apples, oranges, or any fruit of any kind could be found. With a heavy sigh she dropped her gaze. She was so sure that there would be food here, it somewhat left her disappointed. She didn't even realize that what her gaze fell upon was a wild blackberry bush. With a small smile she turned back to Maion. "I guess there's no food here either..."

Maion felt something sting at the back of his throat, he was hit by the sudden desire for thirst yet it took only a moment to have him completely distracted by that though, her hair was crackling, it seemed as if there was an increased ferocity about her now. Had he unlocked something deep within her? He shrugged this thought off, they had only ran a short distance surly it would take more than that. Yet something continued to stand out in his mind, the was always the possibility.

He scanned the surrounds with his eyes, although they where not visible there where a few turnips buried beneath the ground, and also a fragile looking blackberry bush. It wasn’t the apples he had hoped for, and although he knew where to find some he didn’t want to leave her all alone here. He chuckled softly as he watched her declare there was nothing there, perhaps in her excitement she had merely overlooked them? It was a fatal flaw of hers perhaps; after all if a predator had been sulking nearby he would have eluded detection by her. He just thanked the stars that they where simply looking for food.

Smiling softly he took a few steps towards her, it was almost like slow motion as he past her, taking a deep breath he noted her scent, it smelt like honey and flowers, unusual. He had not expected that. Passing her softly he turned his attention to the blackberry bush and grabbing hold of a branch within it he pulled it towards himself and shuck his mighty main in an effort to knock some of the berries from their prickly home.

Tap, tap, tap. Several berried stumbled awkwardly to the ground, landing with a soft tap. They looked well ripped from the suns glowing rays, he lowered his head towards them and pushed them gently towards his companion. “Here.” Unsure what to say to her he simply stood and smiled for a moment, taking in every inch of the situation. Slowly he turned towards the turnips and lowered his head once more, biting the leaves tightly between his teeth he moved his body into a bracing stance before he attempted to heave it from its rooted home. It came out much more easily that he had originally anticipated and he found himself stumbling backwards a few paces.

In a desperate attempt to make it appear like he had done it on purpose he forced himself to spin around while throwing the turnip high into the air. Now all he had to do was catch it.

Fonn watched Maion curiously as he stepped softly around her. Did he see something she didn't? It became apparent to her that Maion had when he shook what seemed to her a simple bush. Little taps sounded from it, almost like raindrops to her ears, and Maion pushed what had fallen towards her. She stepped forward carefully, inspecting what had fallen. She remembered what had fallen, but she for the life of her could not remember what they were. "Thank you." She smiled weakly as Maion offered the fruit to her and carefully picked one up to eat.

She felt odd eating first, she felt as though she and Maion should both be eating them together, that she should wait on him. But he had offered and she didn't want to seem rude. Slowly she chewed the fruit. It was wonderful! She quickly swallowed what was in her mouth and picked up another. She stood up again to chew but a sudden movement from a little ways away caught her attention.

Maion was stumbling! She jumped to catch him, or try to if he were to fall, but he didn't need her help. He apparently was just tossing something. She blushed at her mistake, and in an attempt to recover herself reared back to catch what Maion had tossed. "I've got it!" She called out, but it was soaring over her head.

He noted that she felt slightly uncomfortable about eating, was there something wrong with the fruit? He hoped not. Soon his attention was completely focused on spinning and catching the turnip that was momentarily caught in the air above him. Yet as he was about to jump to get it he heard her words and smiled, replying in his strong voice, "Lets see what you’ve got then?" She didn’t seem to have noticed his small fumble so that made him relax a little and he let out a great sigh of relief.

Taking a step back to give her plenty of room he watched as the turnip fell slowly back to the ground.

Hooves hitting the ground Fonn darted, her gaze to the sky as she watched the object fall. It seemed as though she wouldn't get to it in time. She was determined though, she wouldn't let it hit the ground. With a deep breath she leaped into the air, jumping as far as she could. The turnip dropped between her outstretched forelegs as she soared through the air and she snapped at it. The taste of dirt filled her mouth as she held the object, half making her want to spit it out immediately. She landed and skidded to a halt only inches in front of Maion flicking her tail triumphantly. "Ou Wan Ih?" She asked Maion, offering the dirt covered object to him. What was it anyway?

He watched her closely, although her actions seemed a little clumsy there was a hidden grace behind them, he watches as the flames from her hair licked the surroundings as if they where left in the previous location as she hurled through the air. He felt that her soaring was envious, but then a soft realisation struck him, he loved the skies. Would he ever be able to settle on the Earth for too long? And if not would that really be fair to the other person. He knew the answer yet he didn’t want to admit it; gulping softly he tried to suppress the feeling yet it lingered painfully in the back of his mind.

Returning his attention to the world around him he was just in time to see her skid on the moist ground as she landed, mud sprayed him and instinctively he shook his main and boy in an attempt to remove it from himself. Elijah was unprepared for this action and was flung through his locks, holding on for dear life, her body hanging like a flag in the wind. As he stopped he fell with a thump to the ground and looked up at Maion sourly. Ignoring her for a moment he took a step towards Fonn and smiled, "Indeed I do. Thank you," And he leaned towards her, almost as if to give her a kiss yet he grabbed hole of the end of the leaves and gently tucked so she knew she could release it.

Color rose to Fonns cheeks as Maion came closer to take what was in her mouth, her mane leaping and dancing uncontrolled. She felt a tug on the object and released it, looking to the ground immediately to hide her face. She never felt a need to hide her face before when she blushed. Why did she feel the need now. She couldn't think of a reason and when her eyes fell on Elija the though completely escaped her mind. "Oh!!" She exclaimed as she realized the small fox had fallen from Maion. "Are you okay?" She bent down to see if Elija was okay, she after all didn't look happy about the fall. "You didn't get hurt did you?"
PostPosted: Fri Oct 10, 2008 3:54 am

Maion watched her and he pulled the turnip away softly trying to make sure that he didn’t hurt her in the process. Yet as she lowered her head his heart missed a beat, what was wrong, did she feel sick? Did he do something wrong? Questions whirled around his mind as he found himself worrying about her.

Yet her attention was suddenly shifted by something else, turning his head he looked to where she was looking and saw Elijah, she fell quite often yet this time something seemed different, yet deep inside him he felt that she was faking. Perhaps she was trying to help him? Elijah usually did. Smiling he walked towards her and bent his head down so she could easily climb back up. "I am sorry little one." He licked her forehead gently; he would never have done anything to harm Elijah on purpose. As Elijah climbed up he curled locks she tugged him slightly hard than usual, thinking back he knew it was the sign he should turn his head around, so he did. Now he was facing his new friend Fonn. What was running through Elijah’s mind? He was curious to watch her.

His thoughts wondered to the words, why was Elijah wishing him luck?

--------------------Elijah’s view--------------------

Elijah sat on the floor, wriggling softly on the spot. It had hurt to fall from the top of such a mighty beast, yet she knew deep down he had not done it on purpose. Sighing she looked to the ground before looking towards Fonn. Was he falling for her? The thought had crossed her mind before that he would one day find another woman, one of his own kind, yet he hoped that they would have many more years together first before such a thing came true. Perhaps she had less control than she had originally anticipated. Yet as she sat still the female spoke to her, did she really care about her? Or was it simply a ploy to make Maion like her better? Anger bubbled up for a second; she wouldn’t let any silly games hurt him, especially since she was sworn to be his guardian.

"I’m fine." Her voice squeaked from her mouth, as she attempted to let her anger pass she put on a smile. Thankfully Maion was walking towards her, it was a welcomed relief. Climbing up softly she allowed herself to wander about his intentions once more, reluctantly she tugged at his locks, and she needed to at least look at her. Her eyes looked at Fonn, scanning her up and down, she was fascinating and although she hated to admit it she could see what he may see in her. Sighing once more she spoke under her breath before nestling back deep within his locks. "I will leave you to it Maion." Reaching up to Maion’s ear for a moment she whispered again so that hopefully only he could hear "Good luck."

A sigh of relief escaped from Fonn as Elija declared she was okay. She didnt seem so, she seemed like something was bothering her. As the smile spread across Elija's face though Fonn simply assumed she had been mistaken. The fall must have shaken her pretty bad, that must have been what it was.

"I'm glad you're okay." She said softly as the little fox climbed up Maions mane. She watched for a moment as the fox climbed and Maion looked at her, wondering if Elija was hungry or thirsty. Fonn looked to the bush and the fruit, somewhat dumbfounded that she hadn't thought to offer Elija some of the fruit. She trotted to the bush an nudged the fruit with her nose for a moment, unsure if the little fox could eat them. She turned to Maion and Elija. "Would you, little miss, like one of these..." She paused for a moment to think of the name of the fruit before her. They were berries of sorts, black in color though a few had a reddish hue. "Black berries?"
