Calum's ears perked. He was not pleased with getting naked, not very confident in his looks. But getting to see Syd naked changed things...Ugh, he really was turning into a pervert. With flushed cheeks, he turned and started unbuttoning his shirt.

"Don't look so nervous, love..." He said, his tone reassuring as he pulled off his shirt and unbuttoned his pants, "It's nothing I haven't seen before..." He chuckled menacingly, stripping all of the way and sliding carefully into the water, a satisfied hiss emitting from him as his whole body warmed comfortably, his muscles relaxing almost imediatly.

Dumping his shirt on the ground, Calum started to undo his pants when he remembered what rested in his pocket. Reaching into it, he pulled the velvet box from his pocket and stared at it. He looked from the box to Syd, then set the box down by the edge of the hot spring. Vaguely he wondered how long it would take before Syd became curious and looked into the box. He stripped the the rest of the slid into the water, sighing and going lax.

Syd stared ahead, into the forest surrounding the hot spring. Though he heard Calum set something down near by, the only response it got was an ear flick. He poked at his tail slightly as it floated next to him, supposing that the fur was boyant. He sunk down as Calum slid in, for a moment, sinking up to his eyes, until he needed air. He then looked, seeing the box, but thinking nothing of it. He scooted a little closer to Calum, kissing his cheek gently and nuzzling him a bit before scooting back.

Calum's hands twitched, wanting to pull Syd back to him. But rather than do that, he sunk further into the water until it was up to his chin. His eyes slid closed and a pleased groan escaped his mouth. "This, is just what I needed."

Syd sighed in agreement, "Yeah..." He mumbled, staring at his tail bobbing around like an idiot. He frowned, poking at it and shving it under the water somewhat playfully, though everytime it came back up. He sighed, finding something more interesting to stare at that wouldn't bug him. Somewhat intinctively, his eyes drifted back up to the velvet box, and he figured it'd be for a ring...a ring for what, though?

If it weren't for the fact that he could drown, Calum was very sure that he would fall asleep here. His mouth formed a relaxed smile, it was nice to just relax with Syd. He slit open an eye to stare at the other male, noticing that his attention was on the box. Curious to see what Syd do, he remained silent and pretended to have slipped off into sleep.

Syd's ears flicked, like a little puppy, and he tilted his head, staring at the box with a childlike curiousity, finding it nearly irrisitable to touch, something he hadn't felt often since he'd hit adolescence. He blinked, running over possibilities in his head, staring at it intensely, until he came to one, one very big one. His whole body twitched and he silently looked around, his eyes darting about, at first panicked, then excited, panicked again, and then a little paranoid, until he took a deep, shaky breath, and, in an equally shaky voice, he let out a nervous, "Calum..."

Calum watched Syd's face closely through slitted eyes, fascinated at how quickly it hopped from on emotion to another. He was certain that Syd had figured out the purpose of the box. "Yes?"

Syd twitched as he stared at Calum, "What...whats this?" He muttered, poking the box a little with a wet finger, "Whats it for?" Though he was trying to manage a calm voice, he was failing. Quite miserably.

"Why don't you," Calum trails off and clears his throat, his voice cracking from nervouseness. "Why don't you open it and find out?"

Syd peered at him, before staring at the box again, catiously taking it, afraid that something would jump out and scare him. He slowly opened it, peering at what was inside in expectant surprise.

Taped to the top of the box was a simple note, "I was wondering how long it would take for you to look. Marry me?"
Nestled in the box was a ring.
Calum's nervouseness reached a peek, he felt like he was going to hurl. His heart pounded in his chest, echoing in his ears as he stared at Syd.

Syd stared at the ring, wide eyed, his heart also pounding, so hard, his ears shook barely. His tail twited, and all of a sudden, he smirked, his hair falling in front of his face, giving him a mysterious look. Slowly, he turned around, making sure Calum couldn't see. He slid the ring on his finger, and set the box down on the rock next to him, before turning about and almost lunging at Calum, he pulled him into a tight hug, muttering a soft, "Of course...!"

Shock was the first expression to register on Calum's face. In the back of his mind, he could admit to himself that he expected Syd to say no. But the shock was quickly replaced by joy, his arms wrapping Syd. "Really?"
