So you take the extreme route.. How nice.
Im just exercising my many amazing rights. Gives me plenty to whine and complain about the government all I want.
But back to this a lot of what you mentioned. Other than it has not much, if any to do with the subject. On a side note. I believe other countries issues are their own. America is not the police. I wish to have our country become better, of course in doing this we still discuss other countries for comparison, but in the end it all effects us. No im not saying US is the center of attention, but its where I live and I cant help it. I believe in the rights of the people, not the government.
If we could have a noble and powerful government that watched over us, managed security and budget and kept us all happy we would be great. But humans are not perfect, and never shall we be. So there is always going to be disagreements, adjust.
Heh, thats another difference of china from us. They have complete control over their citizens information, thats how they control them. The US isnt as bad to completely control what the population sees, hears, and learns. But its not like their open to what the rest of the world thinks either. All our media has is whats new in a popstars life. lol. But glad they don't control our net like that of China at least.

Kiss My Chucks   No. Honestly, we have it better off here than most places. Everyone bitches about the government being unjust or how the country is in a great economic and structural turmoil, but the thought never occurs to them that there are some dictatorship or communistic countries that base their foundation of law upon ethnic cleaning through religious persecution. For example, a well respected government official shouts warped versions of biblical scriptures at football [soccer] game at half time while a couple is buried to their torsos and promptly stoned to death for a possibly false accusation of adultery. Meanwhile the people in the stands either remain silently horrified or cheer, for they cannot applaud or praise the happenings during any other time. If they do they are almost instantaneously beaten with the butt of a rifle by a security guard and threatened until once again silent. The players have to wear long sweats, even in the summer season, for any exposure of skin could cause indecent thoughts. Yet women aren‘t permitted to go to the game anyway. No one ponders on the fact that a small parentless boy with no home is sitting under a bridge in a third word county, holding his little sister in his arms as she slowly dies of starvation, despite his attempts to get enough food. His nation is divided into several war groups that slaughter whole cities by the hour. Fellow countrymen enslave one another to work in mines containing precious stones, all so that their owners and leaders can sell them for weapons funding. Meanwhile nearly all citizens live in complete poverty while the government officials live prosperous lives and could give a s**t less because they‘re in league with the dominant amount of gangs, whom they have absolutely no control over. And where do you reside as an American in the status of life? You have a residency, a bed, a job, an education, a car, a phone, an ample supply of food, water, and obviously internet connection, which by the way you use for your own leisure for sites such as Gaia. Oh, and if your happen to live in very poor conditions there are shelters, job opportunities, food stamps, welfare, endless ways to advance in society, most of which people abuse or ignore - but that’s a conscious choice. Men and women of all ethnicities are allowed equal rights. Your children don't have to worry about being killed for being caught leaning how to read and write. You will not be slaughtered alongside millions for your personal religious perspectives. You can have any sexual orientation without being taken away for torture by a black bag in the night. You can hold a protest against Congress or the President and not be made a public example of by being hanged, dismembered limb from limb, burned into ashes, and then spit upon by anyone who had the will to. All because of the principals of this government. You want to complain? Go ahead. You have every right to do so. But you’d be one very ungrateful individual, and no fan of mine.   I was actually going to say the same exact thing, to some extent, but since you've already said it for me, I'll say: ditto to that! However, America isn't the only place where one can exercise freedom of speech and all that. America, the UK, Canada, and New Zealand look like pretty nice countries to me, unlike China and other such control-freakish places. Your teacher sounds angry with the government for not paying him the salary he may or may not deserve. If he doesn't know the difference between socialism and communism, I'm not sure if he deserves the salary that other teachers so rightly should be receiving at the moment.

Technically what you said about how they don't control the net is not really true, because they actually can find out anything basically about anyone in america. Like it's just not made such of a big deal. Like in the us, whatever we post right now at the moment or anything later on can all be traced. all you need is the right people, the right equipment and viola, you get the person who posted on the computer, and where that person was, and etc. I'm pretty sure all this can be accessed, its just a matter of if they want to or not. Same for telephone convos, they can totally just suddenly like eavesdrop into your conversation and record it and examine it and etc. <

America becoming China?
I'd say it is the other way around.
We are only going socialist at most! There will not be ANY communism, hell, there barely is any now. I hate how people mistake Socialism for Communism, learn your facts before you speak please.
The problems in a totalitarian government is that if you get the wrong person in office, they start a war and end up like Hitler.
But it can also go the other way. Nikita Khrushchev condemned Joseph Stalin's acts of imprisonment in the communist name. Granted, he pissed members of the USSR off, but he still HAD MORALS! He wasn't going to cause a million people to die just because they did something he didn't like.
So no, am I saying America is the best country in the world, I will never say that, I don't have enough information to prove it. But it IS pretty damn good, other than the fact that some idiot police officers ticketed people for swearing in public(I see this as a violation of the Constitution's first amendment) and that we hold celebrities so high above us(along with just beauty in general) and education is so unimportant.
But, other than those things, America: ******** YEAH!
I see bigger problems in America than just Socialist ideals sneaking in.
