Umicho had indeed grazed the top of his ears, though he hadn't even noticed for looking at her with big, round eyes when she surprise-jumped over him like that. Wow, you could DO that!?! Wow! Ok then!
He turned around without a moment's hesitation to pounce her, and the hesitation was just what he needed to catch up and have a chance to make his own big-leap to try and jump on her. If...she...just...didn't...move!!!
"You get in deeper," Ilori said, cheerful. He loved, loved his moments in the water, and now turned around to go as quickly as he could, until the water was up to his chin when he stood, "This is deep enough to paddle a bit. See? You can see, can't you?" He lifted his legs toward his body and began to paddle, "Can you try? Are you coming or not, Grinch?"
Grinch had not come, as a matter of fact he looked frozen where he was, ears laid back as he stared at the water. Ilori's sudden yell made him stand tall at attention at first, alert for signs of trouble. Then he made a nasty face and turned around to go back to the bank, and then leapt on a rock, "I'll watch from here, and if you need help, I'll help you then."

Umicho giggles until Pheonix Shelly catches her. Her eyes go wide in shock when she tries to move, but too late, and he successfully pounces on her. "Gah!!! You got me!!!" She laughs tugging at his ears playfully. "Your pretty fast Pheonix Shelly. That was a cool pounce!" She smiles brightly at him, tail swishing rapidly, still eager to play.
Saryichu hesitantly walks in farther until she is next to Ilori, then imitates how he paddles his paws in the water. Her first attempt only leads to her head going underneatn the water. She thrashes in the water and runs out, splashing Grinch on accident. "Oh...s...sorry Grinch...."

Phoenix Shelley beamed at the compliment, then started to chew on Umicho's ears, tugging at them playfully, "Gumfa eet ooo!"
"BAH! DON'T PANIC!! That's the most important part there is!!" Grinch hollered, thoroughly upset with the splash, "YOU PANIC, YOU DIE!! Don't you know anything?"
Ilori had to turn away to keep Grinch from seeing that he was trying not to laugh. He managed to get it under control, then turned to Saryichu, "He has a point. Don't panic, it makes it impossible to swim, and you'll breathe in the water. That's only good for fish, red, blue, or any other color." He shot a look at Grinch, who was still glaring distastefully at them both. "Besides, I'm right here, and if you put your feet on the ground, you can put your nose about the air. Look, relax, the water will pick you up." With that, Ilori again picked his feet up, but this time relaxed so that he started to float. He let out a slight purr of contentment, "Try to relax." He instructed.
"Or think of Umicho drowning again, and not having two lions run in to the rescue."
"GRINCH!" Ilori dropped back into the water and slapped a paw up to splash him again.
Grinch snarled back.

Umicho giggles batting at Pheonix Shelly as he chews on her ears. She shoves at him and manages to get both of them rolling down a little hill. She lands on her stomach in some grass and watches the other teen. "Sorry!"
Saryichu walks into the water again, less hesitantly, partially to get away from the obviously angered Grinch. She manages to get back out by Ilori, then pulls her paws up by her sides and...to her shock....she floats on the surface of the water. "I'm floating..." She gently kicks her feet and moves herself, relaxing a little. "This is fun..."

Aahh, rooolll!! Phoenix Shelley let out a surprised sound, stopped a few inches away from Umicho, and then his eyes lit up. He pulled his legs close to his body and started to intentionally roll around the area they were in now, "Worm-lion!" He announced gleefully when his mouth wasn't too close to the ground to speak.
"Well done!" Ilori complimented, a bit impressed that she had floated so quickly. He floated a moment beside her, "Now look." He let his paws down some and started to slowly paddle with them so she could see, "Not up and down, kinda circular."

Umicho laughs and pulls her legs close just like Pheonix Shelly, imitating him. She giggles as she rolls, espetially when he yells lion-worm. "This is fun Pheonix Shelly!" Continues to roll, having a blast.
Saryichu blushes hearing the compliment, then nods watching Ilori show her how to paddle. She tries and nearly goes under but makes herself not panic. Once she relaxes a little she tries again. Her movements are a bit clumsy and she might actually splash those around her, but she manages to imitate the lion next to her.

Ilori giggled in glee, imitating Umi's own delight, until he crashed into Umicho, "Oh, oh, sooorry! Are you hurt? Are you ok?" Giggle....
"Good!"
"She looks as good as fish flopping on land trying to walk." This time, Grinch spoke from in a tree looking down, so as not to be in splashing distance.
"So do you! What's your excuse?" It was a good-natured callback, and he turned back to Saryicho immediately after, "Ok, not bad, but here, put your rump down a bit, and don't circle so close to the water either. Don't be afraid to be IN it..." He coached quietly, stepping back a bit until he was also treading water by necessity, but he made a point of going out gradually enough that Saryichu wouldn't be aware of being unable to touch the bottom.

Umicho laughs, then yelps when she feels Pheonix Shelly crash into her. She sprawls away a few feet landing on her back, feeling kind of dizzy now. "Owie..." She lays there until she hears him say something, then rolls to her side. "I'm ok. That was kinda fun." She gets up, only to fall over. "I'm dizzy now..."
Saryichu nods and relaxes more, doing as Ilori tells her. She starts to paddle more like him, moving out a little. When the two teens collide she looks up. "Are you two alright up there?" She looks at Ilori once she is sure both are ok. "Umicho has me worried constantly. She's always pulling stunts. But...it looks like she's having a good amount of fun with Pheonix Shelly..."

"Dizzy?" Phoenix Shelley pulled a face. What was th---OOoohh! THAT!! This time he hadn't mimicked when he went to stand and fell over as well. He started laughing, "Bad legs!! We're worms forever!!"
"I'm glad to---" Ilori's ears perked up in surprise at Phoenix Shelley's shout. He gave first Saryichu and then the tree that contained Grinch a look of confusion.
Grinch grumbled something too low to be understood in response to the whole situation.
"Well, I'm glad Phoenix Shelley is having fun. He's not really had any time with lions his own age, and I think it's stunted him---No comments, Grinch!" Ilori gave the three a defiant look, but got no response. "He's so docile that frightens me."
"Docile? You call running away all the time docile? We tried getting rid of him a hundred different ways, and then we always ran into him later, lost, confused, and apparently with no memory of the lioness we left him with! If that's what defines stunted..."
Ilori frowned a bit, then paddled back toward the shallow side, "Practice with that some time, and start branching out from there, and you'll be a good swimmer before you know it."

Umicho laughs when she sees the other teen fall over, then hear him yell at his legs. "We'll be lions again soon, don't worry. It's not so bad being a worm anyway..." She starts to crawl on the ground, her stomach staying in contact with the grass as she imitates a worm.
Saryichu nods and paddles herself to the edge of the water, then climbs out and sits down to rest her legs a little. She also got out to check on Umicho, but she smiles softly when she sees the purple and blue teen crawling on the ground like a little worm.

"Worms don't like the sun!" Phoenix Shelley called and started pawing to dig a hole.
Ilori followed Saryichu, shaking himself then tossing himself on the ground, "They act like cubs more than teenagers!"

Umicho runs over to the other teen and digs with him. "I'll help ya Pheonix Shelly!"
Saryichu follows Ilori and shakes herself off when he does as she laughs watching the hijinks of the teens. "I'd have to agree there."
((it would seem so. Fun rp though. ^^))

"Well, you're going to get dirty, and we're going to be late!" Grinch suddenly hollered, "Come on, let's go. Stand up like a real lion and stop playing the fool. If you always play the fool, boy, you'll be worthless forever. Get up, and don't look at me that way, Ilori. Let's go."
Ilori's ears had flattened in displeasure at Grinch's sudden flood. Then he shrugged and nodded to Saryichu, "He's right. I hope we meet again. Have a good one!"
Phoenix Shelley scrambled to his feet, "Late...time to stop playing fool...He's right. Have good one." He mumbled, stealing all his words from Grinch and Ilori. He gave Umicho a sad look, then went over and nuzzled her and licked her on the nose, then turned to go after Grinch's already retreating figure.

Umicho frowns, ears lowering when she hears that they have to go. "Do you really...?" She looks at Pheonix Shelley sadly, nuzzling back. "Bye...it was fun playing with you..." She waves her paw at the three lions.
Saryichu frowns a bit but nods. "Alright. I hope we meet again. I'm sure Umicho feels the same way." She gets up and sits next to the blue and purple teen seeing how sad she is. She places a paw over her shoulder. "Goodbye."
