Beloved Werewolf

Okay, if asked he came in with Ledi. Got it. Huh, while he wouldn't be a staying 'newcomer', he certainly was a visitor, the grass and the sheer amount of OPEN SPACE catching his eyes as he looked about.

Or rather the lack of anything to catch his eye was catching his eyes. Outside of the giant rocky formation that was looming in the distance. Loooooming. But there was very little to worry about there otherwise.

"My father said it may be something to help me overcome my grief... or perhaps it was a reason for him to herd me away from home to further my 'growing up'."

Was that the answer? It sounded right to him, so he couldn't imagine what else it could be. That had at least been his understanding of the situation.

"Grief? Oh my, what happened?" she asked, obviously concerned but in the kind-hearted way. She even slowed her pace a little, almost stopping in some places.

Sadness was something Ledi absolutely hated. She understood it was a natural thing in life, and sometimes necessary (you could never be happy all the time, especially with what life threw at you), but that didn't make it anymore bearable. She never remained sad for long, but that sometimes required odd methods of cheering herself up.

Wince.

While it was obvious to him that this female was simply trying to be friendly to him and talk to him about his little 'sadness issue', he wasn't sure just how open with it he wanted to be yet. But perhaps talking about it to a stranger would assist him in his recovery.

Or she may have some insight he didn't as a male.

"The one I thought I'd care about the most left me." he replied, forcing a smile to try and make it a little more pleasant than it actually was. Not hard for things to 'not be pleasant' when they weren't. He'd pretty much just admitted to having the LOVE OF HIS LIFE (or so he'd thought) walk out on him...
...
.....

Just for a prettier brown male.

Ledi's golden face crumpled and creased with lines as he told his story.

"Oh...I am so sorry," she said softly.

It was something difficult to react to, especially when you know very little about the whole situation. He could be at fault. She could be fault. It wasn't fair to pass judgement on any aspect of the story.

"I won't pry any further," she offered respectfully. "All that I can say is that she's missing out. And here is a place where you can put things behind you...I mean, if you wanted to that is. Not like...looking for anyone new or anything, but maybe just enjoy a new experience..."

She trailed off, fearing that she'd waffled a bit.

He had waffled on a bit himself, frankly. So he didn't mind that she was trying to be sunshine and lighten up the mood as it was. In fact, it made things less awkward than a silence of thought would have.

A silence of thought may or may not have caused him to fidget to hell and make sadfaces.

"Mmm, I think she's happy. Nothing she's missing out on with happiness." Nitesh replied respectfully, shrugging his shoulders lightly as he walked, before nodding as she continued her little praise of her homelands.

It was always nice to see someone who actually loved being home.

"New experiences, good or bad, are always good for the soul even if it takes a little time, no?" Nitesh offered in return, looking from the sunshine colored lioness he was walking with up at the rock formation that seemed to be slowly growing on the horizon.

Was his sister really there?

Ledi was always fairly bold, she wasn't afraid to ask the most intimate questions of her family and her close friends, and that side of her was just itching to ask this stranger even more about the life he'd left behind. And you could physically see her trying to persuade herself to remain polite and quiet.

"Oh I agree. Its all 'character building' as my family would say," she replied cheerfully.

And then Ledi quickened her pace a bit as more and more rocky patches started to appear. As Pride Rock loomed ever closer, fuzzy blobs of colour began to appear moving amongst the natural forms.

"Well, thats kinda the hub of activity around here. There are some cubs running around, so I ask that you be careful," she said, offering a sympathetic expression. "Gotta make sure you'll be safe around them."

More activity presented itself in the form of a small hunting party passing them by, with a few stolen looks and whispers. Ledi simply smiled and nodded them on, continuing to take Nitesh further in.

"Looks like you might be better off with a tour of the place. Might even find your sister whilst we look," she offered with a smile, barely stopping for a breath and letting her paws carry on.

Well, she made a very interesting tour guide, clambering all over the immediate vicinity of Pride Rock in order to show Nitseh around. They continued like this well into the sunset. A child of the light leading a child of the earth.
