chocfudge Eccentric Iconoclast "Drop your weapons and surrender!" German: Lass/Lassen Sie Deine/Ihre Waffen fallen und ergib dich/ergeben Sie sich. (It depends on if you talk to a person in a formal way or not, in German 'you' can be translated 'du' or 'Sie') I'm going for not formal... Who would tell someone to drop their weapons and surrender formally?

Mivi "Drop your weapons and surrender!"Slapp vapnen och ge upp! "Errare humanum est"Att fela ar manskligt. I dunno if I'm supposed to write the letters , and . Sometimes Gaia turns them into creepy characters or simple dots. That's why I changed them. I took away the thingies above. biggrin Eh, would you inform me as to which language that is?

The MoUsY spell-checker Eccentric Iconoclast "Drop your weapons and surrender!" Chinese: 放下武器投降! Er, would you mind romanising that? The Chinese characters don't work on my computer.

Formal: Lassen Sie Ihre Waffen fallen und ergeben Sie sich. Informal: Lass Deine Waffen fallen und ergib Dich!

Please translate:
'Non scholae, sed vitae discimus.'
German: Nicht fuer die Schule, sondern fuer das Leben lernen wir.
Thought this was a nice phrase. One of the few I know in Latin. wink
Edit: English: We're not learning for school, but for life.

Eccentric Iconoclast Informal (to my knowledge): Finnish: Pudota aseesi ja antaudu! French: Laisse tomber tes armes et rends-toi! German: Lass Deine Waffen fallen und ergib Dich! Japanese: Buki wo sutete, kousan shiro! Russian: Brasaite vashe rujyo i zdavaitis Spanish: Caiga sus armas y entreguese. Welsh: Ddefnynna 'ch arfau a ymrodda! actually, the Russian one is formal whee informally, it would be: brasai svayo rujyo i zdavaisya. domokun
