Oboé eyed the fish. It had gone strangely still in front of her, as if it had given up. Black eyes glazed over, lips twitching with sharp breaths, gills opening and closing as it slowly suffocated to death...It was a pathetic sight to be seen...
Oboé snatched it up in her teeth and swallowed it.
"OH!" the leopardess gasped suddenly. She licked her lips, getting the last bits of flavor of the fish. Her eyes were wide and she was blinking slowly. It was obvious she had remembered something, but it wasn't clear what, because she was silent. Then she stood and began running away.
She ran and ran, muscles rippling under her fur and golden ornaments flying back in the wind. Then she was out of sight.

Laika blinked and watched as the leopard suddenly up and left, tilting her head and wagging her tail slowly as she listened to the noises Oboe's ornaments left in the air. The wild dog was not unused to sudden distractions, and knew better than to take it personally. There must have been a cloud to chase, or a bug, or something even cooler to call her away.
Sitting down, Laika splashed her paws in the water and considered getting herself a fish, but soon wandered away from the water in search of something fun to do, trotting along with her tail high and thoughts of her pink sister in her head.
They would meet again, for sure.
End.
