Chath watched as Kilken swam after him. For a creature that could breath under water like himself he found it strange he had nothing to help him along in the water. Of course...leeches didn't really need to be super fast...they just had to latch onto something and get carried along for the ride.
He repressed a shudder, the idea of the kid latching on as it word a disturbing mental image. But Kilken was a nice lad, quiet and shy. He couldn't let his imagination get carried away. Moving he offered a hand to Kilken so to give him some extra oomph. He could use hit tail to propel them both in the water. The drag would slow him down some but it would be faster. Could be fun too!

Kliken followed happily along after the newt, finding it a bit hard to keep up but none the less Chath seemed really nice. As such he continued trying to keep up, rather enjoying the game... then found a hand held out to him. He blinked a couple of times before reaching out to take it. He wasn't sure what the hand was for but trusted Chath enough that he didn't hesitant.

Chath smiled under the water, he...kinda wished he could help Orpheus out more often. It was nice for a change to have a useful talent rather than just be plain awkward about things.
Taking the boys hand he tugged him along helping increase the kids speed in the water. It would be a lot like jetting along. Not that he was super super fast but certainly faster than a regular human could swim. He was thankful for his tail for that.

Orpheus checked his watch and his students a final time before he lifted a hand and started to smack it against the surface of the water to get their attention on him. While he was fine in letting them play longer this class had already proven his theory, Kliken was able to breath while he was under the water just as Chath could. It was a very useful skill he thought to himself, imagine what it would be like to be able to do that? It would make swimming a whole lot more fun not having to ever surface.
Kliken gave a little jump at the sound of the teachers hand against the water, looking that way even as they swam. He wondered what was going on? Maybe the class was over? What a disappointment... he was having so much fun with the older boy.
