"I thought I heard water running..." He indicated the direction he heard the sound coming from. He wondered idly if it came from a pond used by resident mers. Perhaps that would not be the best place to go.

"He doesn't like water? Or... can't swim perhaps?" As he did not know who Tasuki was, he had to wonder if he was something like a cat, or some kind of desert creature. Or... aligned with the element of fire, like Ignatius.

Still laughing softly, "Well he says he can't swim. But if you put him in water and don't say anything to him he actually manages it all right. He's also something of a pyro. So I'm guessing he doesn't like water because it puts out his flame."

"Hm..." Someone who disliked water so much would nevertheless want to stick around anyway... it was something to keep in mind. Valentino smiled faintly and nodded in that same direction. "We could go over that way... or if there is someplace that you like to go, we could go there instead." He was curious; what kind of place did Reno like to visit, if any?

Reno hesitated slightly. Did he want to show Val the place he liked? He knew that Voodoo went there sometimes but he was the only other one who knew of it. Nodding his head more to himself he answered softly, "There's what used to be an old cemetery over that way. It's so old you can't even read the few stones that are left. It's rather Gothic and gloomy but I like it."

The angel's eyes widened slightly. A cemetery? Such places did not disturb Valentino. How could they, really? Their cold, silent beauty kept most people away, and at the same time seemed to attract certain types of people. Where did Reno fit in among them? Val grinned lightly. "I have to admit... you surprised me again. Let's go."

"I see..." the angel murmured. If he was anyone else, he might have taken offense to being likened to such a morbid place. But the silence was what he strove for. When one's soul is silent no anger or hate remains. No bloodthirsty beasts can emerge. Then why was he following this path? Maybe he was just tired of being alone. It would probably end terribly. Maybe it would serve Reno right if it did... Or maybe Reno was the only one capable of understanding and still willing to try.

Reno shook his head like he was trying to shake off memories. Turning towards Val he smiled faintly, "Did ya know I can sing? My mother could. He died when I was still a kid but I used to sing with him all the time. Don't sing that much anymore. I have concerts for the dead at the cemetery. No one else is around to hear me."

Shaking off his own thoughts, Val grinned. "I had no idea you could sing." There was much he did not know about Reno. What did he really know? This seemed to play like a rhyme in his head. "Don't let my presence keep you from doing it. If you want to sing, I would like to hear it."

"Been a while ... I remember the words but not sure how good my voice is now. No one would think I know classic music let alone can sing it. It's really the only thing I got from my mother." It was also the only memory Reno had of his mother. Soft hands and a beautiful voice singing to him.

"I promise not to laugh if you forget the words." Even if he did not know the words, it probably sounded lovely. People who sing from the heart can sound better than a trained singer with no feeling. He wondered what Reno meant by 'classic' music, it could mean so many things... but he would find out if the demon did decide to sing.
