Pre's ability to speak returned. She could feel the grip on her throat lessen.
Even if she's only been there for a few moments, she knew that this person is the master of this realm enshrouded by magic. Pre's magic could not counteract the undetectable magic that this person wielded. She had a light barrier up before her and Zaragi were going to attack the second time, but this person overridden the defenses and shot straight to Pre without much trouble.
Truthfully, she was afraid of this new person. The natural laws that make the Faerie race what it is could not approve of something like him, yet they are powerless to do anything about it. That better explains why she wanted to get rid of him, but wanted to get as far away from this whole place as soon as possible.
The person asked her a question. The thing asked her a question about the room they were in, so Pre's eyes shifted back to the room with books. She recognized some of them to be as ancient as the Faerie texts in her hometown before it was destroyed by her. It was something she regretted deeply. The spines on the shelves reminded her of the slaughter of her hometown.
With a little bit of pain on her face, she closed her eyes and spoke finally, "There are certainly a lot of books here. I used to sneak into our shrine library and read their ancient texts. That's what some of these books are like," She answered. Her wings had long disappeared; perhaps because of the magic that brought her here.

She remained standing. She was afraid to approach the man or do anything else for that matter. All she could do was answer him and hope that he doesn't kill her, "Faerie's have the ability to hide their wings when they are not being used. I guess when I was brought here my wings were forced back to nothing. They are still there though," To demonstrate, her normal butterfly wings appeared for a few seconds and disappeared.

The knight watched, Approving. He drew his thumb along the flat of his sword, which hissed and came alive in his Hands. It writhed into a black glass scythe, and fell silent and Immobile.

"I'm a bat, you don't need to Shout. I'm blind, not Deaf." He slipped a pair of pince-nez spectacles on, and returned to his perusal of the Book. "Go ahead, select a Book. It would be an insult to the eons my family spent collecting this mot to read from It." He tossed her a small Charm. "Wear this for your first few Days. It'll make the taint pass easier into your Body. Then you will get your wings Back."

Zaragi finished and held the blade to his ear..."Welcome back Kon..." He held it tightly and stood up..."Let's go kill someone." He said anger crossing his face...

Some of Pre's suspicions were answered even if she didn't ask.
"What do you want with me?" Pre asked in a lower voice than before. Her eyes scanned the book in her hands for a bit. It was written in a complicated language but she could understand it.

"'Upworld?'" Pre questioned. She had heard of many different names for the place in the sky. Whether it be heaven, the extra dimension, the land above the clouds; heck, eden. They were all similar from world to world, yet this is the first time she's heard of the higher up land being called the 'upworld'. It was almost too absurd. And to start with, she was a Faerie of forests, and the other world had nothing to do with her, "I see... So what would you want with me? I'm not an Angel, and I never actually went to the 'Upworld' before," Pre said.
