Izzy's frown deepened.
"Stick t'rocks," she said simply and began to walk off to inspect some props. She was tired of having to explain herself to people!

Ana watched Izzy walk off with a perplexed look on her face. Sticking to rocks was cool... she wondered why Izzy didn't seem to want to talk to her or tell her about herself. Blinking, Ana shrugged a little bit to herself and turned back to the wing display.

Izzy was never one to hold a grudge for more than a minute or two. This one seemed to last only a few seconds. There was a horror-movie-esque giggle, and then... WHAP! WHAP! WHAP!
Izzy had an inflatable pink baseball bat and was currently beating Ana with it and giggling. WHAP WHAP WHAP!
She seemed to have brought one for Ana too!

Ana let out a shriek that turned into a giggle when she realized she wasn't really being attacked. Grabbing her own bat, she went at Izzy playfully, bopping her over the head.

Henri shook his head and smiled as the girls laughed and abused each other with thin bits of plastic. Izzy started to run, dodging into a nearby aisle to get away from Ana.

Sliding into a rack of costumes, Ana's skin shifted to black so that she'd blend in better with the fabric. She hid the bat behind her back and waited until Izzy came running by, then jumped out with a triumphant shout.

Izzy yelped and then dissolved into giggles as she crashed against another rack, sending it toppling to the floor. Oh no!

Ana, too, began giggling uncontrollably as brightly colored costumes and masks fell everywhere, much to the dismay of the shop employees. She grinned at Izzy, not even noticing as Vienne stepped into the store and latched eyes on the little chameleon with a stormy expression at the destruction.

Izzy laughed and grabbed onto Ana's arms, pulling herself up. Her mirth was suddenly interrupted, though, when she saw the angry woman stalk in. Her grip only tightened, and she gave no sign of relenting.
"Iddat your mommy?"

Ana turned, her giggles dying as she saw Vienne standing there with arms crossed, her foot tapping the floor. She gave her guardian a faint, sheepish smile. "Hi, Vienne... This is Izzy, my new friend!"
Vienne sighed. "It's nice to meet you, Izzy." She was becoming accustomed to Ana's occasional outbursts of bad behavior. But really, trashing a halloween store? She only hoped she wouldn't be held responsible for cleaning up the mess.
"Vienne!" Ana stood up, beaming and dragging Izzy to her feet as well. "They have fairy wings! Can I have a pair? For my halloween costume?" Apparently her chagrin at making a mess was short lived. Ana knew that she was the sort of girl who got away with things like that.

Izzy was not so afraid of getting in trouble as she was of this 'Vienne' lady. She looked scary! And mad! Henri just got down on his knees and began to clean up the mess, assuring Izzy they would "talk about this later". Izzy just swallowed, going to put the inflatable bats back where she'd found them.

Vienne, a snob and elitist by nature, was not the sort to clean up any sort of mess. She hired someone else to do it. Ana was self-absorbed, but not a snob and she knelt down to help pick things up. Grinning at Izzy, she whispered, "Dont worry about her. She always looks grouchy when she has to take me somewhere. Here..." Ana pulled a little business card out of a skirt pocket and handed it to Izzy. The card had her name, address and phone number on it. The intention had been to keep her from getting lost, but Ana liked to give out the cards to people she met. "We should play for real sometime!"

Izzy took the card and stuffed it in her pocket. She had no idea what it said or what it was for, but it must be important! Henri finished the cleaning job then and stood, cracking his back and pulling Izzy up to rest on his hip.
"Thank you for helping me, Ana," he said and completely ignored Vienne, instead going to the shopkeeper to apologize. He gave the chameleon girl a little wave before heading out of the store. Izzy hid her head. She didn't like being yelled-at!

Vienne, on her part, was acting as if Henri didn't exist. He was far too plebian (in her haughty opinion) to have anything to do with.
For her part, Ana grinned and waved back. "Call me sometime! We should play together again!" There was a tremor of hope in her voice. As if she wasn't really sure if Izzy liked her enough to play with her again. Then, grabbing Vienne's hand, she dragged her guardian over to look at the wing display.
