I was looking forward to Moffat taking over. He's made a lot of my favorite stories. He's awesome!
Like Blink. I am forever afraid of statues now.

I think his episodes are awesome. And he started with The Empty Child (not counting Curse of the Fatal death) so..he was the one who brought us Captain Jack! How can that be bad? blaugh And then Blink..which spooked me and so I really enjoyed it. And the library ones.. I'm excited that he's taking over.

Did he write "Curse of the Fatal Death"? My husband loves that, even though it's not a real episode (prob. because it has fart jokes, and he's a guy, but what do you expect?).
I like all the eps. SM wrote, personally. Verycreepy, very scary, and all-new alien menaces. And for those of y'all who are tired of all the heart wahmbulance dramallama heart cheese_whine emo , perhaps when we get a new incarnation, getting his love life in order won't be the Doctor's #1 priority (as it has seemed to be with DT).
BTW, the Daleks may be gone--for now. But they'll be back, even if SM doesn't want them. How many executive producers has this show seen in 45 years? You can't get rid of the Daleks. they're like roaches.

I'm not sure what I think about Moffat. His plots are really brilliant and I have lots of respect for him for that.. but I don't like how he's brought so much drama and sexual tension to the Doctor in his shows. ..and I'm also one of the wussies who think his shows are a bit too creepy. sweatdrop Apart from the drama though, I am looking forward to seeing what he brings to the show.

I don't have a favorite of the writers. I like all the stories.

I just like watching it. I don't really care about the writers. I was willing to let what he said about Rose go. But what he did to Lee and Donna in Forest of the Dead was unnecessary.

Ever since I saw "The Empty Child", I took special note of Moffat's name... other than just me being me, I look at the writer because if they've done scripts before, you can kind of tell what angle it's going to come from, how well the plot (or lack thereof) may be, or sometimes even how they write a certain character.

Same goes for other shows and their writers, only with Doctor Who they tell who the main writer for each episode is in the opening credits.

But also, I'm strange and take notice of things that a lot of people usually don't. razz
