She listened intently to what was said and smiled, "Will you stay here while I try and ask the others if they will lend me their gifts? Does it matter what gifts? Who do I need to ask?" Questions kept popping out of her, she was rather young in the group and it was natural for her to be incredibly curious!

Valelldia beamed a smile- she was enraptured by the sweetness of the girl. "Yes, I will wait right here for you, and you can ask any of your sisters or brothers here in the caravan who've been given a gift by me- which I believe should be many of them. And no, as long as you have two of them, willingly given, then it should work."
((You have to ask them IC, but it can be just one post back/forth, or a PM, as long as it's transcribed here. ^_^))

She beamed, a huge smile crossed her face, "Oh thank you! I will be right back!" She smiled as wide as any smile could be and ran off around the caravans, now to find someone, she gulped, she didn't like approaching others in case she would get swept aside, time to conqour fear!

Silver and Tierra were just preparing to leave when she heard a familiar voice and a not-so-familiar one conversing in the night. Silver immediately noticed the bright light coming from the direction of Heather's wagon and peered around the corner of her own. "Yes, I will wait right here for you, and you can ask any of your sisters or brothers here in the caravan who've been given a gift by me- which I believe should be many of them. And no, as long as you have two of them, willingly given, then it should work." Silver thought for a moment. "Tierra, give me a few minutes, I'll be right back, I promise." Silver handed a still-sleeping Aisrhan to her friend and quickly tracked down the light that was moving through the caravan. "Heather!" She whispered. "Here, you may borrow my amulet. I figure if Val is involved it must be time for your lantern to grow, yes?" Silver grinned. I am about to help Tierra on her own quest, but I'll not need this just yet." She quickly removed her amulet from around her neck and handed it to the gypsy girl before her. "Give this to Valelldia for your soon-to-be little one. Tell her I let you borrow it for your quest. And, since I don't know how soon I will return, please hold on to it for me? I think I can trust you with it for a few days." Silver grinned before turning to run back to where she had left Tierra waiting, so they could begin her own journey.
Heather was amazed at the generosity and smile, "Oh thank you so much!" She gave her a hug and a huge smile before looking for someone else, that was one item, just one more was needed.

Heather was walking around with one gift that she had already colected. She needed one more and then at last she could see what the magic would do to her special light! She smiled as she made her way slowly through the campsite looking at some as they were busy. She wouldn't ask busy people, she might get in the way. She then spotted someone else, sitting outside their caravan with a fortunette? Isn't that what Val said the lamp would be? She smiled and ran over.
"Hello there!" She smiled as she looked at Pierre. He was so cute and just watching him widened her smile but she needed to ask about the gift, then she could have her own fortunette!
Pierre narrowed his eyes up at the woman. "I don't know you." He said, his voice as prickly as his head, but his mother gave the child a slight shove.
"Oi, mind your manners, you. They're made for everyone, not just the people you know." Em smiled up at Heather. "I'm sorry about that. I don't think we've met.... but you're... Heather, right? I'm Emelyn. Please don't mind Pierre. He's still got quite a bit of growing up to do. ...And don't make that face behind my back, young man. I have eyes back there." She looked back at Heather.
"So what brings you out this late at night? Looking for something?"
She smiled at Emmyln, "It is lovely to meet you, and Pierre. He is adorable!" She then turned her attention to the question of why she was there and what she was suppose to be doing. "Oh, well Val came and visited me, she said a lamp I own is special and that it can be a fortunette justI have to find two people who are willing to let me borrow the gift that Val has given them. Then with those two gifts and my own we can turn my lamp into someone!" She smiled not asking for anything, she hated asking for things, "I am just searching for people who have gifts, but I don't know who does and who doesn't!" She smiled sheepishly this time, fidgiting a little.
Em put up a single halting hand in Pierre's direction, a silent warning to not lash out at having been called 'adorable'. The boy understood the gesture, but sunk back into the wooden step, sulking. His mother just didn't understand anything.
Emelyn, on the other hand, beamed at Heather. "Oh that's wonderful! I'd wondered when your Fortunette would be ready to show itself. The growth part is so exciting. Pierre always kept me on my toes with growing- don't worry, it's easier than Val makes it seem, with all her magic mumbo-jumbo talk. I've gone through it three times already." Em sat back a little, thinking.
"As for who has gifts. ...I know most of us do. Some who aren't around often- Yuka, Keppit- they weren't there for giftgiving. But probably everyone you've met has one. Oh, and I certainly do. You can borrow mine!" She turned to her sulking hedgehog son.
"Pierre, go into the wagon and get my healing dagger. It's in the grass-woven bag under my bed."
The boy leapt at the chance to hold any dagger at all, and was back with it in a moment, holding it in his clawed hands to offer to his mother.
"Thanks," Em said, and passed it along to the new gyspy. "Bring it back whenever Val's done doing whatever she needs it for. And good luck!
She took the dagger and her eyes lit up, "Oh thank you so much, I shall bring it straight back I promise!" She hugged her adn then ran back to her own caravan and to Val where she would present the gifts.

Heather returned to the caravan and showed the dagger and the amulet to Val, "Are these what are needed?" She looked hopeful, after just seeing Pierre she couldn't wait to see what her lamp would be. Excitment was buzzing through her and she wondererd if she would need to go and dig out her own gift as well.

Valelldia saw the two gifts that she had been lent, and laughed. Silver's and Emelyn's. She should have known. She took the amulet from the girl, and wrapped it about her hand, then took the dagger in her palm, turning it over to see the healing inscriptions on the hilt.
"I should have known you would have brought back this." She laughed. "But no matter. A small blood spill is nothing, especially as a price for a Fortunette." She looked at the girl. "No worries, it's my blood, not yours."
She took the lantern from her, and placed it on the ground. Then, she wrapped the amulet about it. The green stone pulsed, and the object began to dance, moving about in a small circle and leaping into the air- joyful to be alive for even these few seconds. Then, Valelldia took the dagger, and with a quick breath, ran it across her other palm. A bright stream of dark blood ran from the wound, and down onto the lantern's ore-beaten top. The blood startled it, and it backed away from its dance.
Val looked down into her injured palm- and smiled as the pain went away in a matter of seconds, closing up behind itself and sealing- as if no harm had ever been done. She chuckled, and reached down and took the amulet from off the lantern.
In that instant... the light went out, and the wagon was dark. A light twitter was suddenly heard in the dead of the blackness, and Valelldia whispered to herself.
Incadio And light returned to the wagon, only to show... a beautiful yellow canary, sitting on the floorboard, a single drop of blood on its foot that it shook off.. and looked up towards its mother.

She nearly had a heart attack as the bird chirped at her. "Oh my.. wow.. wow.." She didn't know what to say. She just turned to Val and flung her arms around her, "Oh Thank you, THANK YOU!!" She smiled and turned back to the bird, holding her hand out to let the bird hop onto it. "Hello there little one, aren't you beautiful!" The smile that was now wide on her face was a picture. She then turned back to Val, "Shall I take the gifts back now?" She asked curiously as she watched the bird hop around her hand.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The girl laid in her caravan watching the canary fly around. He seemed to be a lively fella and the dogs found him great to play with, well, chase. She was happy, confused about all this magic stuff but oh she was happy! Amkia would be with her all the time, if she let the caravan he would perch on her shoulder. She was happy and so was he! Life was great, in nearly every possible way!
She closed her eyes for a second before suddenly opening them again to hear her dogs scratching at the door. "You wanna go out now do ya?" She giggled and stood up, Amkia automatically climbed onto her shoulder where she just smiled and rubbed her face against his soft feathers. She opened the door and the dogs ran out, she sat down on her steps and just sighed happily. Amkia flew off a little, circled the caravans and then came back to her. She would return the gifts later, though wasn't Silver leaving for some reason? She would keep her gift safe but the healing dagger could go back once the dogs were finished.

Lorelei hurried up to the door of the wagon, then knelt to place a note, weighted with a shell, on the step. She knocked, considering waiting to talk to the inhabitant of the wagon. In the end, though, she hurried away again before the door opened, going to the next wagon. I would very much like to meet you - I know that I have been very reticent and have isolated myself. I want that to end. Please, take this gift as a token of my good will... and come visit some time.

She had opened the door not because she had heard the knock but because the dogs have been barking and scratching at it. She had opened the door and instantly they ran out and started sniffing at the note and shell, Heather thought nothing of it, after all it was nothing, right? Dogs did things like that all the time! She was about to shut the door when the little golden bird flew out, he circled above the dogs singing his soft tune. The dogs quickly lef the note and went off to do whatever it is dogs do. It was then that she realised the note.
She picked up the shell and smiled softly before reading the note. She then turned to Amalo who now sat on her shoulder, "How about going to visit someone we haven't met yet boy?" She chuckled as Amalo started his soft singing, how lovely it was.
She entered her caravan again and put the note and shell safely away where she was keeping the items she borrowed, she would have to return them soon.

The little canary had brought news of the egg hunt. Each egg, different colours seemed to carry a word with them. She hadn't thought much more of it and carried on with her duties.
She went outside to brush her horses down when out the corner of her eye she spotted a green coloured egg. She went over and picked it up, putting it in her pocket so no one else could find it while she brushed the horses down, fed and watered them.
Once she had finished caring for the animals she sat down on the steps of her wagon, the golden canary perched on her shoulder as she removed the egg from her pocket and sure enough there was a word on the egg. She smiled, stood up and walked into the wagon grabbing some paper and a pen she wrote down the word and then taking the paper and pen with her, went and put the egg back. She had to give others a chance as well.
She was on her way back when she caught sight of another egg, one she hadn't seen. She ran over and saw a word she hadn't seen already, Erste and not too far from that was another egg and then another with the words Enchanted and Panval. She quickly scribbled those down aswell and signed them before rushing back to Vals wagon and slipping them through the door as well. She was happy now.
She then gave in to Amkias pesting. "Ok, ok calm down. You find the eggs, come back and then I will follow and write down the words!" She chuckled and went back to the wagon to do her chores while the canary flew off, though he was gone a second before he was back chirping loudly. Reluctantly she followed and wrote down the second word. Her list so far read, Veil and Despiros. She wasn't going back to the wagon this time.
With Amkias help she found another egg in a wagons wheel, this one with the word bangles on it. She chuckled as she wrote down the word and moved on, looking under buckets and even in the trees. Amkia found the next one in a tree and with alot of effort knocked it out so the girl could read the word, this one said arfunkle, interesting.
The two left the egg on the ground after they failed to put it back in the tree. The girl found the next two eggs together, they were on the back of someones wagon which she found rather amusing though she scribbled the words Snake and dance down quickly and ran off, a golden flutter of wings behind her.
The next two were harder to find, the girl recieved various cuts as she dropped an egg into a bramble bush while writing the word raccoon down but once she fished the egg out she was happy to be moving on. Amkia found the last egg, though neither were sure it was the last, it would do. The girls arms were hurting.
After scribbling down the word Rose, she ran towards Vals wagon and after signing her and Amkia's name slipped the piece of paper through a gap on her door. They then went back, after all both needed a nice long rest and Heather needed to bathe her arms.
Realising she had missed some on the way back she went searching for some more, She found an egg in some hay, and another wrapped up in horses tack. She found it amusing bt scribbled down the words. After she had found a few more eggs she scribbled down the words, counted how many she had and added them to the 8 she already had. 13 eggs, yes that was right. She signed the names and ran to push it through Vals door hoping she was the first to find all 13 eggs..

Secra hadn't yet gotten used to his new home- and, as the snow-crested Banyas often were... he was displeased. Luckily... that made for the more far-reaching, accurate fortunes.

The fortune that the bird chirpped instantly hit the young girl. She went outside and called for Amkia, "Amkia where are you??" He came flying back to her and she grabbed him and pulled him close. "Amkia you are notto go from my sight, we must be careful, very careful!" She had tears streaming down her face as she curled up in her caravan with Amkia, what could it mean? Amkia was male, definatly male, she was a girl and oh no, would she tear him? The thoughts went through her mind as she stayed there curled up, Amkia just sat there, not sure what was going on.

The young rabbit girl sat on the floor of the wagon, painting some goose eggs. Once they were dry and she was content with their appearance, she placed them in white cloth bags that her mother made. Opening the door, she snuck out into the night and secretly delivered each egg. drawn and colored by kojiro <3
