Glad you were able to view it. One thing can be said for DoA, for sure, is that as far as resources go, there's nothing that really holds a candle to it. If there's an issue with something, somebody on the board has come across it. If something new and spectacular is coming out, someone's usually posted about it within minutes of the original announcement.

And I can't tell you how much stuff I've bought off the marketplace. O_o

It was like that for me when I first signed up, but it's something you get used to over time, especially once you get to know the hobby a bit better.

The first one, I believe, would be a little large and the second a little small.

Hodoo's got a 7.5 inch head in circumference, which means a wig in a size 7-8 would have the best fit. The 8-8.5 would be a little large and might make it look like the doll's got a helmet on.

DoD have some interesting head sizes as the DoCs are a bit smaller than the majority of MSDs (with the exception of Unoas and Narae, MNF(I think) etc.). Don't know if you've been there yet, but Leekeworld has a lot of wigs, and you can chose the color on them. They're mainly for preorder, though, and take some time for an order to go through, but their wigs are very, very nice.

Hodoo actually wears a 7-8 wig, so right in between sizes for both of those two wigs. Dream of Dolls wigs are notorious for either being too small or too large, so you run a risk with them either way. The larger wig will probably be the better bet if thats the one you are settled on. You can use a rubber band to help it fit better, but the 6-7 wont even stretch enough to work at all.

DoA Tip : Use The Search Function. And use * at the end of the keyword (i.e. luts*)

I just realised that answering this now may be redundant as I think you've already found your answer, but here's what I think, just incase someone else was waiting for a reply in the lurk too.

Luts do make their dolls, altho design wise, the head for their Delf are.... something like commisioned off a group called Cereberus Project who now has their own company, but that's not important concerning your Hoodoo.

A LOT of people have bought from LUTs. A lot. If I am to base it loosely on what i've seen, LUTs dolls can probably make up near 1/3 of the dolls on that forum. So they definitely have a solid customer base. One of the lines they used to sell have now moved to another site though, when Cereberus Project got their own page. So their customer base has reduced a little, but history wise, they've seen a lot of market.

In terms of them scamming you, i believe the chances is low. However different people have had different experiences with them. A lot of people say that their Customer Service is terrible (i.e. getting thru to them for questions and updates). I there there had been stories of looooong waits but this may be due to the amount of orders they get, the weather there (wet season = terrible quality, so they tend to be really slow then) or something personal within the company management.

One thing for sure, you have to be prepared for delays in getting your kid. So far I have not heard of Luts stealing people's money but they did have a history of slow service. Payment glitches may happen to any company, so just make sure you do everything right, and if you have a question, posting it in their Q&A section would get you an answer faster than emailing them.

I'd just gradually sand the neck down rather than cut it, because by cutting it, you'd have to reshape it entirely and the head might not even fit on right afterward anymore.
