josh: i dont really know...the drum line just has a history of giving themselves really wierd nicknames.

Trombones (yes all of them)- Tigers/Kitty Cats
Bassoon/Savannah- Chicken
Trumpet/Autumn- Squirrel
Clarinet/Autumn- Bonnet
Bass Clarinet/Sanam- Stories
Trombone/Marrisa- Chocolate/Mars Bar
Trombone/Joseph- Slide man (Accidentally 'slid' his trombone slide across a room! Is that even possible?)

When I was in pit for a season, I had "Shakespeare" on my T-shirt. The other kids were Doe/Doughy, 38, and The Sultan (or "His Royal Highness"). For color guard, we all have "stripper names." Mine is "Cool Whip," and some of the others include Dominatrix, Sweet 'n Spicy, Arctic Rush, and Five Dollar Foot Long. The drummers' nicknames last year were Snuffy (Snuffaluffagus from his freshman year), Chewbaca/Chewy, Goofy, Ronald McDonald, Obuelo (spelled like that), and this year one of the new drummers is Topography (or "Toppy" for short). Then the year before, there were N.B (not his initials. I dunno the story behind it) and Dingus. There's another snare player named Steve, but I can't remember his nickname. I'll figure it out eventually.
In the brass line, there's Q, and then we had Georgia (who moved back to Georgia this year, which made us all sad).
And our nicknames are more of a formality. People don't really come up to me and say, "How ya doin', Cool Whip?"

Me = Frost (Emma Frost)
Taylor = Swift biggrin
Joe = Ugly Kid
Dandre = Sensitive
Mike = Butterfly
and so on.

High Brass gave themselves nicknames, but my section hasn't.
Nicknames that everyone uses are usually a combination of first/last names or your initials.
