Daven squeeked. "Excellent! Well done. "Now, you must do it faster." Daven sent out a pulse of reiatsu to "bleach" all the environment to his reiatsu feel and the exercise started again. This was how the afternoon passed, doing this faster and quicker, more complex, more decoys, he used Tagg to move her around and to confuse the senses Bull had, he adjusted his reiatsu so that it nearly matched Tagg's, he shunpoed around, made Bull move himself, overwhelmed the senses with massive amounts of reiatsu and kept going on the exercise. The day ended, and it was time to stop. "Tagg, you will be up next tomorrow. I hope you were taking notes on this."

"Well of course. I have already got a few key ideas as to how to work this."
Tagg sat on the floor, then preceded to flop down and rest. Her eyes closed. Her fist clenched. She fell into a sleep for the night.

Bullene laid down next to Tagg, and closed his eyes. Though, he found it hard to sleep. He could sense too much reiatsu in his surroundings. It crowded his brain. He hoped that Tagg didn't react the same way he did to the training. Squad 7 Captain Bullene Katsurou

As was his habit, Daven closed his eyes for a few moments and let the tension and strain drain out of him. But since he didn't sleep, he decided to practice while they were sleeping. He drew his weapon and summoned his Bankai. While it was large and loud, he shunpoed to the other end of the training area and started working to perfect a technique he had been working on. He used his naginata to toss some Earth up into the air, and used his kinetic control to start moving it around. He didn't make any motions, he stood stoiaclly and used his mind and the powers of Kidorui Genso to forge the Earth and the Air into weapons, Air Blades, Earth Hammers, Air Bullets, Earth Spears, Rock and a Hard Place, Confining Walls, Air Barrier, Earthquake and Tornado and even more. He smashed, crushed, exploded. He pulled out many targets and Aranacar or Hollow fakes, and more. He pulled the air out of one, making it implode and basically create a vacuum in their lungs. And with that lower pressure inside, he smashed with the Air from all directions and crushed the target. And during all this, he stood, not moving. He barely blinked. The Hollows swirled around him, thirty or forty moving and trying to attack him, but none got close. Daven kept up a wall of moving and swirling Earth, blowing rocks and dust and leaves all around him, in an ever moving wall, preventing any from approaching him. Once all the targets were dead, he pulled out a Hollow Bait and broke it, making sure to scatter it into the air so that it got more dispersed. In a few moments, Daven felt the Hollows start to arrive. Five, eight, ten, seventeen, thirty, fifty, and Daven knew that the call was a strong one. He caused the Air to start moving and changing, flowing around all of them, attacking them from all directions. He slashed them with Air, tortured them with Earth, and when he got the idea, he quickly slashed one hollow to release its blood everywhere, he started pulling the blood out of the hollows themselves, making them bleed from every pore and orifice, separating the Water from their body. Some would come too near, and he would hit them with his Naginata and then make them start attacking the others, by controlling their muscles directly. And then he had an idea. The Air was under his control, and so he compressed it all over the body of the four or five Hollows nearest, and used that as a body suit to directly control their movements, like a puppet. And he noticed that he was tiring a lot. He was using a lot of reiatsu up and finally decided to just finish it up. He fired several Air Bullets to take care of the rest quickly and just make them go away. Once the last was done, he waited for a bit to make sure that none others would show up, and he relaxed and waited to make sure no others showed up to fight. He sealed up Kidorui Genso again, put the sword away and knelt to meditate a bit.

Bullene sat up. He had finally drifted off to sleep for an hour before being awakened by Daven's practice.
Bullene stood up, pulling off his top, it was constricting. Bullene was hot, and he needed to be able to move. His shoulder cracked as he rotated it.
Bullene stepped up to the meditating Daven. "What's next on the bill?" He asks, not screaming, but loud enough that it would pierce Daven's meditation. Squad 7 Captain Bullene Katsurou

Daven came back to himself and shunpoed to Bullene. "Mostly it's up to you. We keep practicing this, working on the sensitivity of your reiatsu sense and working from there. "Once that is mastered so that you can tell twins apart blindfolded from two miles away by using only your reiatsu sense, then we can work on your reiatsu output and allowing you to exactly match their output, which is the point of the Reverse Demon counterstrike."

And so, the training continued. It began with Daven using simple deception and cloaking techniques. The work was monotonous and Bullene grew bored with time. Though, the difficulty of the detection gradually grew more straining.
It wasn't long before Daven began to use his Kitsune skills to attempt to prevent Bullene from finding him. The beginning proved difficult. Daven began with a single doppelganger, whose reiatsu signature was so similar to Daven's own, that it took Bullene a whole 16 hours to figure out which one was real. The training chugged on, having lasted a few weeks.
"Heh... I'm going to find you this time, Daven. There is no doubt." Bullene's voice came confidently. He was sitting cross-legged somewhere towards the middle of the Private Dojo. All seemed still to Bullene, though it wasn't the case. Daven was appearing around the Dojo, each one giving off a similar Reiatsu signature.
Bullene began his breathing process. He held his right arm diagonally across his lap, palm up. His arm did not touch his legs. Bullene was focused as if he was holding a great weight with his arm. Bullene's left hand was above the right, open, pointing up. Bullene sustained his focus through his right while maintaining balance with his left.
Thus, Bullene's breathing began. His eyes calmly drifted shut as his cycle began. Each inhalation brought in new energy, while the exhalation brought purity. Soon, Bullene's mind was blank, open to all energies. The Davens soon popped up in Bullene's mind. He began to cycle through the plethera of reiatsu sources. Each one seemed more similar to the original Daven that he remembered than the next.
A full three minutes went by until a single source matched the wavelength that Bullene had recorded into his mind. Appearing beside one of the Davens, Bullene placed his hand upon his shoulder. "Nice try, but I have you." Bullene said to the Squad 1 Captain. Squad 7 Captain Bullene Katsurou

Daven smiled. "Very good Bull. I've been very impressed with the way you have grown. You have managed to be able to tell the difference with the most minute of clues. "Now we move on to the next phase." The next part was harder. He not only had to identify the reiatsu signature, but he had to do it very quickly. Just getting him to the point where he could do so in a day, or even in a minute was a MAJOR hurdle overcome, but now he had to do it in under a fraction of a second. If he couldn't do that, it was over. *** "AGAIN!" Daven snapped at Bull. He knew he was being cruel. Bull wasn't doing the identification quickly enough, and if he couldn't do that, he would get creamed in a fight. Daven was now using his multiples to force him to identify Daven and deflect attacks before they landed. For instance, right now, there were five different Davens standing in front of Bull. Each would draw and fire an Arrow from a typical Samurai bow. One was real, the other four were illusions. Bull's job was to identify Daven, who was always firing a real arrow, and deflect that arrow before it struck him. Each draw/fire sequence happened in under five seconds, and to make it harder, each cycle Daven shifted his position with all the other copies of himself. Daven was really irritable because this was demanding a lot of him as well. So far, after doing this for six hours, Bull had only deflected the Arrows by luck, not by skill or ability. He had not gotten two in a row yet.

COUGH! COUGH!
*Five seconds left*
Bullene's hacking cough echoed through Daven's dojo. Bullene had never gone through a training regimen so taxing before. His breathing was hard. His wheezing would not cease. I need to calm myself! Bullene thought. He couldn't let desperation drive him. He needed to be in control of his emotions and of the situation. Trying to seek out Daven's reiatsu, he found his senses turbulent.
*Four seconds left*
This was not what Bullene had been training for. The months that had passed would be worthless if he couldn't sense these stupid arrows. Bullene's eyebrows furrowed. The tattoos on his arms began to glow red, showing themselves. Bullene was getting too angry. He let out a grunt of self disapproval. CONTROL YOURSELF!
*Three seconds left*
I will not let my fate be in the hands of others! I must take control! Bullene took a quick breath in, slowing his heart rate. The tattoos on his arms faded back into his skin. His senses became clearer, but not clear enough to sense Daven's presence. Bullene thought of all he had already done. He would need to sense both location and the subtle difference in the actual Daven's reiatsu.
*Two seconds left*
That was it! Bullene's heart rate and aggression had come down enough that he could sense clearly. It wasn't only reiatsu that he could sense. Bullene had come to a pinnacle of self control. His serene state of mind allowed all things to become clear.
*One second left!*
The surrounding area became incredibly tranquil. Bullene felt nothing but the five Davens. Bullene's fate was in his own hands. He would block the next arrow. Bullene was sure. "With the power I received from my peaceful state of mind, I challenge you!" Bullene shouted.
*FIRE*
Though Bullene didn't hear it, an echo of 'twangs' broke through the dojo. The five Daven's released their arrows. Bullene's hand moved. It pulsed with a white reiatsu. A small sound, marking the contact between Bullene's hand and an arrow was established. This was no luck. Bullene had succeeded in deflecting Daven's arrow.
"Hmph!" Bullene smiled to himself, letting out his confident chuckle. "I'm ready for more." And Daven's arrows came again, and again, and again. And Bullene blocked them again, and again, and again.

"Better! Now we do it faster." Daven could fire arrows at the rate of two per second. He had trained himself to do so in the far past. Could Bull deflect them that quickly? Bullene was able to pick out Daven from among the others he had, and Daven increased the numbers he had to work against. Shifting, shunpo, stepping onto the air, moving his doppelgängers, making them fire, and on and on and on, it was hard work, but Bullene was rising to the challenge of that, and it was a joy to see. As he was able to accurately deflect the real arrow from among the many copies, all nearly duplicates of the original, Daven realized that it was time to step it to the next level. "Good, that's excellent for this level of training. Now to the next part. Reproducing, accurately, another reiatsu level of power. You have to be able to sense, identify, combine and replicate that reiatsu in order to know the Reverse Demon. "So, now I stand here and I will change the power with which I strike at you with my reiatsu, and your job is to identify that level and then completely reproduce it to counter, with a reiatsu surge that exactly mimics the force coming at you. "Only then will you be able to do the Reverse Demon." Daven stood there, about two feet from Bull. He did a few practice strikes, just punches with some reiatsu energy in them. While physically he was no where in the vicinity to hit Bullene, the reiatsu would hit Bull if he could not cancel it out. Daven started punching, once every second, like a metronome. Each strike had a different power signature and a different level of power. Bull would be hurt if he didn't learn to quickly counter them.

As Daven's first punch hit him in the chest, Bullene's mind went into overdrive. The shock of the impact set off Bullene's senses. Already in a serene state of mind, the only thing Bullene would have to follow through on was matching Daven's blows. Bullene's bare hands began to steam. His reiatsu began to pulse into his arms. Bullene moved his hand up to block the second wave of reiatsu without having controlled his reiatsu level.
The result was not a good one. Bullene had forced too much reiatsu in his hands. The reaction of both Daven's and Bullene's conflicting reiatsus caused a small explosion, which contained his forearm. Bullene payed no mind to the searing pain in his arm. The explosion, though it didn't do much damage, caused Bullene's arm to be severely burned. Though, the burns didn't stay for long. A subconscious force changed the nature of the reiatsu in Bullene's arm. A hiss signaled that the burning flesh on Bullene's forearm began to heal.
"I'm not done yet..." Bullene said, panting. He was on his last limb of energy. He had taken four hits in the past four seconds. His mind was beginning to get the picture of Daven's reiatsu. Bullene raised his arm, his mind straining to will his reiatsu into form. "Hyaaaaaaah!" Bullene thrust his arm forward, meeting Daven's reiatsu wave. Bullene's arm stopped in its tracks. "Heh..." He laughed weakly. He was convinced he had correctly succeeded in performing the Reverse Demon.
Though, his thoughts were mislead. A small burst, similar to the popping of a balloon broke Bullene's train of thought. It was obvious that Bullene was on the way to mastery. Apparently, his reiatsu was similar enough to Daven's, that it blocked the majority of its force, though not completely. Bullene let out a cry of discouragement, only to be reawakened to the fact that Daven was continuing. A sharp pain to the lower chest and a cracking noise made its way to Bullene's ears. Coughing up blood, Bullene realized that one of Daven's punches had broken at least one of his ribs. I don't know if I can go on like this... Bullene thought as the onslaught of punches continued.

Daven watched his Captain with compassion. He remembered vividly when he went through this. He purposefully put himself into very dangerous situations to force his mental proceses to make a leap of intuition to save his life. But once that leap was made, there was nothing that could take it away. Speed was necessary, to identify the shifting reiatsu levels instantly, be able to generate a counter charge on the same frequency and level to be able to cancel out the blast, that was the essence of the Reverse Demon. It left very little room for error, it meant you had to do multiple high kido and high reiatsu skills instantly and all at one time. But once this was mastered by Bullene, there would be few with the same control of reiatsu that he would have. He would be capable of shifting his reiatsu frequency at will, to whatever he wanted it to be, change the level, the force and so on. It would become an incredible tool in his arsenal of combat. And all that would be necessary to master shunko, the Flash Punches.

To the Seventh Squad Captain, this training meant the world. In a hypnotic daze, he continued to thrust the remainder of his energies upon Daven's punches. Each punch brought him ever closer to complete exhaustion and death. "Must..." he let out a grunt, releasing reiatsu at one of Daven's strikes. A similar popping noise occurred to the one before. "Complete..." Now, in a similar fashion to Daven's metronome-type punching pattern, Bullene was blocking Daven's punches, releasing a 'POP!'. Though Bullene didn't realize it, his exertion of reiatsu was less than the amount that he was regenerating by a minute amount.
The sun had risen and fallen more times than Bullene cared to count (about 4 times).
Very inefficiently using reiatsu, Bullene had gradually, and very slowly regenerated most of his reiatsu. Though he was tired, he could think clearly. "Huaaaaaa!" He called, drawing back his fist. "TSAAAAAAA!" He roared as he launched forward, meeting Daven's own wave of reiatsu with his own. As the two forces met, all became silent and tranquil. Both waves had canceled each other out completely. Bullene fell to the floor with a thud. "Ahhh..." he sighed, placing his right hand on his ribs. A sickening crack was let out as he re set his broken ribs, allowing them to heal correctly. "Reverse Demon, complete?" He asked Daven hopefully.

Daven was nodding. "You did it. Once. Now, once you have had a rest, you have to replicate it again, preferably more than once." But he was very proud of his student.

Bullene's snores filled the night air in a slow, resonating rhythm. His peaceful exterior did not show his true mind's workings. There was screaming... Constant screaming in his ears... Bullene was standing in his childhood home. Like an old film being played, Bullene's memories were played out in Black and White. Bullene's eyes wandered across his surroundings. Yes... He recognized this place. The Buddhist Temple in which he lived seemed dark and hazy. Bullene tried to speak with no avail. His teeth were clenched along with his fists.
As if he were a puppet, Bullene moved forward without command, walking along the main hallway. His steps were silent on the hardwood floor. Coming to a pair of large iron doors, Bullene took a deep breath. What was he doing? Bullene had no recollection of these events. Again, without command, Bullene's arms raised, and his hands were placed on either door. Nervously, Bullene shifted his eyes left and right, making one last effort to control his own body.
The iron doors creaked open into blackness. Bullene tasted smoke in the air. The candles were recently put out... His mind seemed to say. The movement of the smoke in the room changed. Bullene's hands rose to shoulder height on either side of his body. Having no other bodily reaction other than his thoughts, Bullene was shocked to feel two fists, one in each hand, make contact with his own open palms. Bullene's own fingers closed upon the fists, squeezing harder and harder, finally releasing a crunching noise as the bones in the attacker's hands crumbled in his own. Their screams echoed through the room.
Knowing this place well, Bullene found his way to the first column. Instinctively reaching forward, Bullene grabbed a match. Pulling it out of the sheath, the match ignited, revealing Bullene's own face. His visage was contorted into a foul look. His eyes open wide, Bullene's eyebrows were furrowed to an extreme scale matching the intense grimace he held in place. The light no longer illuminated Bullene's face. The match fell upon the candles, igniting their wicks.
Bullene saw him... It was the man he once considered his father, his mentor, and his best friend. "You have made your attempts on my life for the last time, old man!" Bullene spoke in an odd monotone. "I have surpassed you, so now you are trying to get rid of me?" With a grunt, Bullene was awakened from his dream by the morning sun.
Shaking himself back to reality, Bullene stretched, getting himself ready to train.
It wasn't long before the two Shinigami continued their training regimen. Bullene's attempts at Reverse Demon had to be warmed up a bit before they were at full par. He had only successfully completed the technique once before falling asleep. Bullene's arms were constantly moving, though with a little more vigor than on his previous attempts. Bullene matched every one of Daven's blows, neutralizing them. The training continued until Daven was satisfied with their effort.
