Cassie stood with her arms crossed as she watched Fiona holding Alice up. she was a strong girl dealing with the animals and working out with Cassie, but not so much that Cassie wouldnt worry about her looseing her balance
fiona however was fine she balanced Alice on the window seel and pointed out some other paintings and said
"that would be fun! you should come over some time!"

"Sure! Maybe Bella can bring me! She's my sister and she looooves to look at artsy stuff."
Harriet felt awkward in this place but he really had nothing much he could do, besides let his little girl enjoy her friend. He didn't get much of a friendly vibe from Cassie but that may be for other reasons.

Fiona eased her out of the window then said
"that would be cool! We dont have visiters often, do you like animals?"
Cassie just watched the two girls, ther was the faintest of smiles on her face as she did. she didnt mean to put off a bad vibe, she just wasnt trusting of adult men. Children she could handle because they were easier to read when they lied

"I don't know. I haven't met any. Well....Daddy and I have gone by the pet store now and then but we haven't really gotten a chance to look at any for a long time." Alice explained, "We're usually going to pick Bella up from work."
"Do you have any animals?" she asked, looking up at the other girl with eyes full of wonder.

Fiona nodded eagerly
"OH yes, we have mongesse, dragons, koi, thats fish, and brids. We live in the woods so there are all sorts of wild animals like rabbits bears and deer too."

"then you should come visit some time."
Fiona bounced up and down a little and said,
"You should come eat icecream with us! its 10 o'clock now so they should be open."
fiona wore no watch, but she was correct on the time

"Ooooooooooh! Can we, Daddy, can we?" the child turned to her silent father only to receive a warm smile and a nod in response. "YAAAAAAAY! Let's go! You can show us where it is! I've never gone out for ice cream before!"

Cassie and Fiona shared a shocked expression, Fiona stuttered
"You've never had icecream before?!"
She nearly fell over herself in her exicetment, grabbing Alices hand to pull her along toward the ice cream parlor just a few shops down
"hurry hurry, we gotta be first!"

Harriet blinked a few times. He hadn't had ice cream before himself - gelato, he'd had, sweets of all sorts, he'd had. Ice cream, however wasn't a big commodity with him - and he wasn't one for sweets anyway. Though he did make sure Alice had them in moderation - they were a nice treat for children, after all.
Shaking his head, the man followed the group slowly. Meanwhile, Alice was telling pretty much the gist of the matter as she was dragged, cheerfully.
"Daddy is a candymaker, so I get sweets, but he's from far away and doesn't eat many himself so he doesn't know what sorts of things to get." she told the older girl as they rushed into the parlor.

"Ohhh"
Fiona said as she pulled Alice into the parlor where there were freash tubs of icecream set in the open face frezzer with a marble slab off to the side. infrount of the slab were several rows of candies and different add ins.
"Thats cool. I dont get ice cream often, its just a treat im aloud to get sometimes. Momma is sort of a fitness nut."
Cassie was close on the girls heals, so when they burst into the parlor the poor lady behind the counter didnt have a heart attack. she waved a little and said
"These little ladies and the fella behind me are on my bill."

Harriet blinked in surprise. "I-I can handle Alice and my bill, y-you don't have to worry about it, ma'am." he stuttered, quite shocked. Why was everyone offering to pay things for him?
Alice bounced on her heels and stared in awe at all of the choices. "Ooooooooh, Fiooooona, what should I geeeeeeeet?"

Cassie waved it off
"I got it, you've never had it before right? just try some."
fiona was pointing out the flavors she had had and said
"You can even ask for a sample if you are not sure. I like the cool mint and chocolate mixed."

It was then that Alice spotted something that looked utterly delicious amid the other flavors - something that looked so utterly perfect she had to have it. A vanilla cream with chocolate fudge swirled in and little chocolate chunks that - unbeknownst to our happy little Alice - had peanut butter in them. But the name alone was all she needed to draw her attention.
"I'd like to try the Moose Tracks!" the girl intoned, pointed at it as her ponytail bobbed behind her.
Harriet, on the other hand, chose simple mint chocolate chip - he'd have gotten vanilla but he was trying for the first time so might as well get something niceish.

The woman behind the coutner got them large cups of what they ordered and Fiona got her usual normal sized cup of cool mint chocolate, and Cassie got herself Chocolate ciniman mixed togeather as well, her cup however was small, a kids cup.
The woman gave her the total and Cassie didnt bat an eye at it as she handed her the monye and said to keep the tip.
fiona was pulling Alice out to sit on the benches outside the parlor in the shade of a tree to eat. Cassie sat on a second bench and left room for Harriet to sit at the other end if he wished
