Lior shrugged her shoulders.
"Suit yourself. I'll just have to get all the riches down here myself." she said, in a persuasive tone. She turned back to the sell swordsman.
"And if I did die, I would die a very wealthy woman." She put a hand on her forehead dramatically. "Without anyone to give it to." Lior hoped her little speech made him want to go with her. She did want to fight the shades down there, but she absolutely hated going by herself.

"I don't really care about being rich." Miraldae said with a chuckle. "All I care about is my next meal." "And how to silence this sword." he added to himself. "So, you want my blade, we make a deal. Six gold pieces." he said, crossing his arms again now that Kasofi had settled down. He knew the amount was almost rediculously low, but it was all he needed at the moment. It was enough for a night at an inn, a days worth of meals, and a few beers which was all he needed. "You can pay me afterward if you don't have it now."

Lior shook her head.
"Keep the sword. You might need it one day." She walked up to him and gave him ten gold pieces in his hand.

Miraldae held out his hand to accept the coins and was confused by how heavy they were. He opened his hand find find that there were ten coins in his hand instead of six. "This is more then I asked for." he said, looking up slightly confused at Lior. Nobody had ever given him more then the price he asked for. Why would they, after all? "My price was six." he said, picking four of the coins up and offering them back to Lior.

Lior pushed the four pieces back to him.
"No, I insist." she said, closing her hand. "Because the next time you're short on four gold pieces, you'll think back on how you didn't take it from me." Lior smiled brightly.

"Well, I suppose it's your gold to throw away." Miraldae said with another chuckle, pocketing the money. Well, it was four more gold then he had asked for, but it wasn't like he was going to complain. "My name is Miraldae, and my blade is at your service." Miraldae was growing more interested in this woman by the moment. First she completly disregards his warnings, and then she consiously overpays him. Not to mention the fact that she was a cat girl. He wondered if she had ever hired a mercenary before. "Shall we get going, m'lady?"

Lior smiled.
"Yes, good sir, we shall." She looked over at Miraldae.
"I'm Lior, nothing less, nothing more." Lior giggled to herslef, for her name rhymed with "more". But she was even more elated to know that she wasn't going into the mines alone.

Miraldae smirked when Lior called him a 'good sir'. This girl was strange indead. "So what's a young cat-girl like yourself doing in a place like this?" he asked as he began to walk towards the western mining center. It was a little ways to the center, and he rather hated walking in silence. When he was talking to someone, he could tune out Kasofi's voice in his head. "Hey, vampire, hurry up if you want to come." Miraldae said, glancing over his shoulder to make sure Ian was following.

((So I guess we'll just assume Ian's with us since he's gone for the weekend?
And is it just me, or do my characters eyes look green in that picture?))

((Yep, they're green. And okay, Ian's here, too.))
Lior smiled. "I came by here earlier to check it out, but I didn't want to go alone." lior sighed. "I know, I'm a whimp." She gave Miraldae and half smile, but it soon faded into a frown.
"Vampire?" she asked curiously, looking back at Ian. She always pictured them as the stereotypical ones, not what Ian looked like at all.

Kain was wandering around inside the mineshafts, not really knowing where he was going or why. He'd sort of stumbled upon this place at random. He looked blankly at the walls around him and suddenly he felt like the walls were pushing in on him. He screamed in a sort of primal roar, even the voice of his true form coming out. Anyone in the place would have heard it as the sound of a dragons' roar. Kain calmed down and simply sat down on a mining cart, trying to remember why he'd come here.

((They're actually blue... Which is odd that they look green...))

"Yes, you are a whimp." Miraldae said with a laugh. Ordinarily he would never joke around with an employer like that, but he figured this wasn't a normal case anyway. For one thing, this wasn't a typical job. He wasn't being paid to body guard, or clear out goblins, he was being paid to 'tag along' as far as he could tell. Not that me mattered much. Money was money, and he didn't mind fighting either. "Ya, vampire. I've seen enough that I can tell."

((Do they look more blue now?))

((A lil' bit!))
Lior gave him a playful smile. Then, her huge ears went up and twitched.
"Did you hear that roaring sound?" she asked, turning to Miraldae. She tightened her grip on her bo staff with her left hand.

Kain sat around thinking, but there was nothing to do. He was bored and wanted to play with something. A part of his persona showing through, his personality had changed again. He started to dance around a little until he got bored again and he stood there alone for a while. Suddenly, he felt a headache coming on and he decided it would be better to walk around a bit.

((Hey, my computer is acting really slow for some reason, so I'm going to restart it. I'll be back in like five minutes.
Oh, and Martel, in Kain's personality seciton, you wrote "Dilas", lol.))

"Yes, I did." Miraldae replied, his hand instantly going to the hilt of his sword and his body tensing. That roar sounded draconic, and if it really came from a dragon he didn't want to go further. While he had slain a dragon before, it didn't mean he wanted to try again. The dragon he had slain was young and he wasn't sure if he could take on a full grown dragon. He kept his mouth shut though, since Lior technically gave the orders now that she had bought his services. "It did not sound like a shade."

A girl, probably a tad young to be poking around the dangerous mines, was poking nevertheless. She'd heard that, if you got lucky, you could find minerals in the deeper caves. She'd heard quite a few 'get rich quick' stories, and thought she'd check it out. So far, with so little experience, she was having a hard time getting hired.

She heard voices, and wondered if others were here for the same reason. She was just starting to investigate when she head a surprising roar. She followed that sound instead, though the echoing of the caves made it difficult to pinpoint the origin. She finally found a man, oddly dancing around, but she wasn't sure how he could have made such a sound. What she'd heard was so beastial...

Shrugging it off, she stepped forward and greeted him simply. "Hello."
