At Loveless' sudden descent into parental anxiety, Antony found himself chuckling. This was the hellion, this was the homicidal mare? Ah, he did love how time and fate could change things for the better.
"Oh, I'm sure that they're fine, Lessy; they're all strong, smart, well-grown adults, after all, and I'm pretty sure that they know enough to find shelter to wait out the winter without you telling them too." Chuckling, he patted her cheek and looked her in the eyes, his smile as infectious as always. "Remember, we raised them, now they have to make the best of things. Hell, for all we know they might have already set up housekeeping with someone, or be expecting our first grandchildren, or all sorts of things! That's the beauty of being grown, we don't have to supervise all the time!"
Grinning at Ariston, he gave the older stallion a nod. "It was nice talking to you, Ariston, but I agree that it's best you take off now. Maternal anxieties and related turmoil aren't for the faint of heart or the unmated to experience cold!"
It was on of his few throwbacks to his mother, Antony's sometimes mercurial temperament. One moment anxious, the next buoyant; one moment depressed, the next cheery. The anxiety-inducing scene over with, there was nothing left for Antony to be other than delighted, content in the knowledge that things were good. Nothing could ruin this moment for him, and that was a fact. "We'll find them. We've got wings, don't we?"

Ariston was content in leaving them be, and he stepped forward the nuzzle his daughter and grinned confidently at Antony. Every time he saw the two of them together he'd realize how well they meshed. Perhaps some things in life were amazing like that. "Well I wish the two of you the best of luck in everything you do. Keep me posted with any news or changes, and make sure the kids visit their grandfather sometime?" And with that, he nodded one last time before strolling off delightfully. As he walked, he lifted one of his wings up to wave a goodbye before vanishing rather quickly into the cool horizon.
Heh, lifemates! It was surprising and yet wonderful. And Ariston could be nothing but overjoyed for them.
Loveless had to admit, it was sort of sad to see her father walk away. In a sense, she felt as though her father had learned that she didn't really -need- him anymore like she used to. But that was a sign of maturing and aging, and Loveless had her own children now. She needed to remain consistent and respectable to her family, and show them as well that she was confident on her own. She was a changed mare, but luckily the only change involved her confidence. And whether her father liked to admit it or not, he was definitely a big help in discovering that.
"Yes, I suppose it is time that we go look for them. So, do you have any ideas yourself?" She looked forward and took a few strides ahead, before turning and beckoning for him to follow. "We might as well walk, talk, and eventually fly. And just hope that we see them soon." She grinned rather pleasantly and waited for Antony to walk next to her, and her eyes were glued forward while trying to scent her children. She was glad that her father had learned of the news already, but now it was time to tell her children. She had no worries like before, but now she was only stressing on where they would be!
Ah well, thus was the point of independence. Or so she told herself! "To the babies we go!"
