Machu vaguely remembered much about his own family. Of course there was a father and a mother, maybe a sibling or two. All of which was lost in the recesses of his mind, the dark depths he did not care to dive into. Not because he was lazy, he simply did not want to remember the reason why they were forgotten in the first place.

This was his life now. He was on his own. With a female, pregnant with his pups. And a waterbuck peon that hasn't been seen in many moons. Though his mind itched with curiousity as to where that herbivore was.

"That sounds like a good idea. Rest now. Wake later. I'll go get something to eat then..." He yawned off the last bit, the 'eat then' was muffled with a low-yawn, but still audible. He shuffled himself against her, burying his nose under his paws. "Sleep sounds good..."
