Day Nine of Mapling: I accomplished so much that I'm not too bummed out over Maple's mass server suicide. XD

Thanks to the power of trading away fame, I completed the Alex quest and got a pair of Gold Ring earrings! They're the ones I wanted, too, out of the four different ones you can get. T___T This more than makes up for not getting the Red Triangular Shield from Blackbull.

Shumi gave me 30 Ellinia scrolls. *woot* I feel like such an idiot though. XD When I (FINALLY) got to the final map in that #$%^ing jump quest, I thought that I had to get up to the platform where the chest was. I didn't see a way up, so I thought that perhaps I needed to kill all the Bubblings in order to be warped up there or something. I'm such a moron. After nearly dying a few times due to lag, I finally realized that I could click on the chest from the ground.

John's quest was easy compared to Shumi's. =__= At least there weren't any Stirges flying around randomly in his jump quest. And I didn't know that you could just keep on doing the jump quest and get like...unlimited ores. O_O By the time I got bored and finally quit, I had something like 14 Mithrils, 4 Bronze, 4 Steel, 8 Orihalcon, 2 Silver, and 4 Adamantium. Shumi's quest hints at getting more random freebies as well, but I don't feel up to doing her jump quest again any time soon.

Now I'm torn between levelling to 25 as quickly as I can so that I can wear the beautiful Blue Shark outfit that Emi gave me plus my earrings, or just jump quest until I have enough ores to fill a swimming pool. XD

Days Ten and Eleven of Mapling: *ish honored with Chris' trust* I did John's jump quest for him (the flowers were kind to me and I only had to run through it twice) and then went to do the Sabitrama's jump quest as well. *picks up nailbat and beats that silly old man into the ground, and then walks to Ellinia so she can beat Shane as well*

That. Quest. Blows.

First of all, you find out from the man in Sleepywood that the quest is in Ellinia. The one job class town that DOESN'T have a path leading to the dungeon. >_< When I finally get there, Shane tells me that I need 2,500 mesos to get in, which Chris doesn't have. So I log in my character, trade over some mesos to his character, and finally get access to the jump quest. The first screen was cake and pie. The second screen was death and dismemberment. *heh* Monkeys throwing banana peels at you, spears shooting out of the ground, and teeny tiny twigs and buds that for some reason knock you back as if you'd stepped on a live wire. The last two inches of the vine are just...impossible. @_@ I got through purely by chance, I think.

And then when I logged out and got back into my own account, I had to go to Lith to give Chris an ore he needed in order to make something for his magician, because he couldn't afford the taxi to come to Ellinia. I told him that he and Ellie need to name a child after me now. He said he'd talk to her about it. *bwaha* At least now I have practice on that quest, and will know what to expect by the time I'm levelled enough to qualify for it.

I got two awesome drops over the weekend. In Pig Beach, I picked up a Dankke (level 35 axe) that Merichan will be able to use when she's levelled enough. And in the mush/slime tree near Ellinia, I picked up a Green Matty (level 35 hat) that Losan will be able to use...someday. XD I also found two Omok Tables. It's funny...after all this Stump-bashing, I suddenly find two tables just a couple of days after Emi tells me about them. Go figure. Oh, and somewhere along the way I also found a Lemona, White Split Pants, and a Blue One-Lined T-Shirt for Losan. He can't wear any of it quite yet, but it's nice to have things in store so that I won't have to blow all my mesos on buying equipment as he levels. ^^ Merichan's Luck is pretty darned low, so I guess that doesn't have much to do with enemy drops. *shrug*

Four more levels until Merichan can wear the Bamboo Hat, Blue Shark, Blue Shark Skirt, and Gold Rings! Four more levels until Losan can use Energy Blast! *wahoo*

...fourteen more levels until Merichan can use the Dankke. Twenty four more levels until Losan can wear the Green Matty. *feeble woot*

Day Twelve of Mapling: I'm buff enough to kill Horned Mushrooms now! *riverdances* The downside is that Horned Mushrooms are too high-level for Losan to share in the EXP. It works out all right though. I set Merichan in the Mushroom Tree and wail away on mushrooms until she's low on HP, and then set her on a rope (slimecicle?) to Endure. Then I switch to Losan and bash snails. I actually level him faster by hunting Green and Blue Snails than if I went after Stumps and Slimes. In the time it takes me to kill one Stump, I can kill a silly amount of Snails, netting me more EXP and mesos. As soon as Merichan has healed up, I put Losan on a safe platform and go back to shroom-farming.

Losan can now wear his Blue One-Striped Shirt. :3 And I now have only three more levels to go before Merichan can wear her new gear! Bamboo Hat! *squee* Blue Shark! *squee* Blue Shark Skirt! *squee* Gold Rings! *squee*

To do tonight: Level Merichan as much as possible. XD

Day Fourteen of Mapling: Tanked for HelixHALO a bit with Nessy in the Horned Mushroom tree. ^^ Made it to level 23. *woot* Two more levels to go until Blue Sharks and Gold Rings! HH then told me he knew a spot where I could get more EXP, and it ended up being the first map east of Perion. I told him about the hidden Stump map, but on the way, I discovered that I was able to survive Wild Boars, so I began collecting tusks. XD Sadly, I was kicked off after just five tusks, and I couldn't log back in for the next hour. I'd just get a "wrong gateway" error on the map screen. *weeps* Then it was bedtime. Hopefully I'll be able to get back in tonight. ^^; I want to leeeveeel.

Emi reports that beta sign-ups are now closed. I'm so glad that I signed up in time. o_O; Of course, from a "things to do" standpoint, it's a tragedy that I was able to sign up in time. XD

I found another Wizard potion and a Mace. It seems that monster drop weapons and armor have different stats than the store bought ones. I found three Polearms, and they had three different Weapon Attack stats. Same with the two Maces. I wonder if the Dankke that I picked up is a "good" one or not. It doesn't seem to be a store item, so I can't check. *hee*

Still no Panlid.

Days Seventeen and Eighteen of Mapling: I actually managed to stay off of Maple long enough to clear out some avatar edits this past week. Let's see if I can force myself to only Maple on Friday nights, while working on edits and art commissions during the week. *hee* The Magic 8-Ball says, "Not Likely."

Emi gave me a Beheader! It looks quite dangerous, and the name implies so much butt-kickage. XD I'm even more excited about getting to level 30 now. *bwee* Emi also showed me more new stuff in Maple (I almost typed "on Gaia") that I wouldn't have thought to go looking for myself. *hee* We got to watch the ship come in to Ellinia's port, and she showed me a mysterious portal tucked away deep inside the Ant Tunnel section of the Dungeon. She thinks it's either a portal to Ossyria or the entrance to the third job advancement quest. I think the latter is more likely, since the portal is to another dimension, and Ossyria is just across the ocean. She also let me loot her of a big Christmas tree star, two Jr. Boogie's Horns, and...well, pretty much everything else. *laugh* I'm like a little lamprey sticking to Emi-shark's fin, leeching her life blood as well as whatever scraps she leaves behind as she kills.

Emi (as if she hasn't done more than enough for me already) also took me to get Stirge's Wings and Jr. Necki Skins that I needed for some quests. Jr. Neckis are scarcer than I thought. @_@ It took us quite a while to get fifty of those things, and we travelled through many maps. I got to see the swampy side of Warning Street for the first time, and it's actually quite lovely. Everything is lush and jade green and just absolutely beautiful (well, except for the fact that my health kept dropping because I can't hit Jr. Neckis for CRAP and they move very quickly as well *heh*). And after that, she took me to collect Stiff Feathers and Wild Boar's Tusks. heart

I seem to get more feathers from Ribbon Pigs than I do Wild Boars, so perhaps I'll go back to Pig Beach after I collect enough Wild Boar's Tusks for both Merichan and Losan. I think it's because I can kill Ribbon Pigs more quickly, so naturally I get more drops than I would from killing Wild Boars for the same amount of time. And then I save gold, because I don't have to use very many potions in Pig Beach. I can double up with Losan as well, which is an added bonus. ^^ Three more levels, and he'll be able to wear his White Split Pants. I wonder what they'll look like on him. I need to get him a wand...it looks sort of silly to see a mage throwing Energy Bolts with a sword. He looks like such a noob, still, with his T-shirt, denim shorts, and Karl Sword. XD Must get him a properly mage-ish hat as well.

Day Twenty of Mapling: Wild Boars dropped Weight Earrings for me twice in the first ten minutes of my being logged on last night. o_O I should have gone out and bought a lottery ticket. There was a Thief there who wanted to Party up with me, even though he was of a higher level, so we shared EXP and mesos until I collected enough Stiff Feathers to complete Nella's 5th questette.

I've finished all except for part three of Nella's second quest set. Must hunt Evil Eyes. *glances at 200 Evil Eye's Tail requirement* ...for a looong time. I sent Merichan down through the Ant Tunnel, which is where another user told me to go hunt Evil Eyes. I remember some kind of Eyes being around the portal, so maybe I have to go all the way. After I finish gathering Evil Eye's Tails, I guess I'll keep collecting quest ingredients for Losan until Merichan hits level 30 and can start the Wannabe-a-Page quest. X3

*ponders level 30 quests* Man...I'm going to have to collect a lot of Tree Branches and Firewood to do Blackbull's second quest. ^^; I guess I'll park Merichan and Losan in the hidden stump map for a while after I advance Merichan.

*begins to suffer from Maple Story withdrawal*
