Sarah
Sarah finished her packing and slung her bag over her shoulder. She took Matt's hand and led him downstairs, where Bill took her bag and loaded it into the car. All the goodbyes had been said and Annie was just returning from droping off the kids. "Your going to keep them in touch right?" She knew now that the kids were out of the house Annie and Bill could say what they had been waiting to say. She didn't want to hear it, specialy since the long sleeves were like a beacon.
Annie started in ignoring Sarah's question. "We love you both, your part of our family. That's why you have to go, so you can get better. We know what's been happening with both of you. Honestly we wouldn't bring it out in front of the kids but they need you. They look up to you and we can't have them falling into the same habits. You both have to get better, I don't know what we'll do if this doesn't work. Am I understood?"
Sarah nodded weakly, she knew they ment good but she didn't want to come to terms with it. She didn't want to have them talk about it.

Matt
"I understand Annie. I'm sorry it had to happen this way, but at least the kids won't under stand the true reason we are going there. I'm sorry I let you down Annie, Bill." Matt dug his toes into the floor board and stared down, he thought he could hide his addiction coming back, but he hadn't been able to.
Bill sighed and put his hand on Matt's shoulder. "Don't be sorry Matt. We'll get this straightened out and everything will be ok. Before you know it you two will be back here working. Just think of this as a vacation, have some fun and relax." He wrapped his other arm around Sarah. "Now let's get going before we're late."
Matt walked to the car, silent and slid into the seat behind Bill. Sarah sat on the other side stareing out the window for the whole drive. The car was silent except for the radio playing in the background. Matt watched Sarah play with a pen, watched her press the dull tip into her palm, hard enough to make a red welt. He knew she was nervous, knew that was why she was acting on instinct. He placed his hand over hers, holding it still for the rest of the drive. The car pulled into a drive and Bill and Annie got out. Matt and Sarah looked at each other before stepping out and standing behind the McCoy's. Bill called out, seeing no one around, "Hello? Is anyone here?"

Alli Alli was out at the pasture when the sound of a car pulling into the driveway caught her attention. Quickly she headed into the barn to let her mother know. "Hey Mom.....the kids are here.....!!!" She slightly yelled up to the hayloft of the stable, getting a 'I'll be right down' in response. Sighing, Alli walked out to see who it might have been. Giving a small wave, she stopped, not really coming any closer to them as she called out. "You the McCroys or whatever you last name is....." Alli stuck her hands into her pockets as she looked them over, especially Matt. To her, he seemed pretty cute. Soon she heard footsteps and turned to see her mother, wiping her hands on a cloth. "Hello.....you must be one of the families......and these two are Matt and Sarah if I'm not mistaken?" Maggie announced while reaching her hand out to the parents.

Sarah Annie and Bill shook hands with Maggie. While Annie introduced everyone. "Your correct, this is Matt and his sister Sarah. I'm Annie and this is my husband Bill. We talked to you about the problem over the phone."
Sarah returned the girl's wave but stayed close to Matt. She looked around the pen still in her hand. She pressed the tip of the pen into her palm, as a habit. She didn't keep eye contact with anyone for long.

Matt
Matt dug the toe of his shoe into the ground, he looked at the ground acknowledging the girl but keeping to himself. He saw what Sarah was doing and took her hand in his, slipping the pen away from her grip and putting it in her pocket. He kept ahold of her hand, useing it to keep calm. He glanced up at the girl several times, quiet as he might be he wasn't exactly shy. He wasn't used to meeting new girls but he didn't mind in the least bit. She seemed just as uncomfortable as he was. Even so he stepped towards her, leaving the adults to talk. he drug Sarah behind him and extended his hand to the girl. "I'm Matt McCoy and this is my sister Sarah McCoy."

Kristen

Kristen sighed deeply. She wipped off the dust from the saddle and bridle, putting her hand on the saddle. She wanted to take the tack with her, to remind her of Twilight. She didn't want to make friends, especially with horses. She didn't want to ride them either, but was being forced to. Kristen took the bridle, and gently swung it over her shoulder and picked the saddle up in both hands. It seemed kind of wired, but Kristen really didn't care what others thought of her. She grabbed, the midnight blue halter and blanket on her way out and walked back to the house were the car was parked. Kristen layed the tack gently in the truck with her suitcase, and then picked up Missy, who followed all the way, wipping the tears off her face. By the time Katie came out Kristen was already in the front, stroking Missy softly, stareing down at the purring cat. Katie entered the truck looking in the back seat, catching the glipes of the tack, and then the badage on Kristen's arm. Sighing silently, Katie started the car, and soon drove off heading from Sky High Stables, Kristen stareing down at Missy all the way their, stroking her as she held her.

Alli Looking at the parents first then the kids, Alli let out a light sigh as she took Matt's hand, thankful for her armwarmers. "Alli..." Was all she said before bringing her hand to her chest. Maggie smiled while placing a hand over her daughter's shoulder which Alli quickly pushed off and sent a glare before walking back into the stable. "That's my daughter Alli...don't worry....she'll come around...." Maggie said while smiling. "Alright well, whaddya say we get a move on hm?" She said motioning for Matt and Sarah to follow her to the cabin. "This is where you'll be sleeping....you can choose a single or a bunkbed if you'd like....right now you may start getting yourselves comfortable and if you happen to need anything I'll just be in the corral" Once that was said, Maggie waved to them and then walked out.
Alli, Meanwhile, was sitting up in the hayloft, crying her eyes out while scratching at the fading scars on her legs, arms, stomach and neck. "Why did you have to leave brother.....why?!! I miss you so much!!!" Alli screamed as she looked around for something sharp to stab at herself with. But realizing there wasn't anything useful up in the hayloft, she sighed and stood, making her way down and out of the stable. Once back outside, she quickly checked to see if anyone was infront of the house, and upon seeing another girl and her mother, she quickly went around the side of the stable, making sure to use cover before finally making it back in the house.
Alli quickly headed up the steps to her room and began searching frantically for her hidden stash of blades, hoping they weren't found by her mother. But to no avail, she couldn't find them anywhere. Letting out a scream, but not loud enough for anyone else to hear, she stormed into the bathroom, looking for some razors. Again, she found none, thus making her even more upset and fidgety. The last spot she would look is in her mother's bedroom. Her mother always had a set of razors hidden from Alli, but it hadn't taken long for her to find them. Carefully picking up the keys, making sure they didn't jingle or anything, she headed into the safe and unlocked it, upon opening it, she gave an evil smile of relief while grabbing the bag of razors, still in their packaging. Quickly she began taking them off the holders and placed a few in her pockets, the others she put in a small change purse in her junk drawer.
She had opened many cases of razors before, and Alli was now a complete master at it, without even having to get a scratch or cut on her fingers. It took her only a matter of 15 minutes to get the blades free, and once they were, she carefully hide the other evidence behind a hole in her wall. "Finally......I can feel alive again....after 7 long months.....of being in that stupid place which they thought could help me heal, Ha! They're soooooo wrong!!" Alli said in a voice, almost unlike herself as she went and clsoed the blinds, pulled the drapes across then went and sat ontop of her desk, also making sure to place some towels underneath her incase any blood dripped. Turning on her stereo, she smirked as the tune of "Everybody's Fool" By Evanescence blared throughout her room and the house. Raising the fresh blade to her right wrist, she licked her dry lips in satisfaction before wincing as she gently and slowly dragged the blade across the pale scarred skin. Blood immediately began to flow rapidly out of the cut, but not bothering to stop it, she continued and made 5 more cuts along her arm. Once relieved, Alli grabbed a cold, wet cloth and pressed it against the cuts, hissing as it bit into the flesh. "Ow.....damn it....I forgot how much it hurts when you do that....." Once it stopped bleeding, she carefully pulled her armwarmer back on and then lied down onto the bed, gently singing along to Everybody's Fool.

Kristen
Katie drove into the enterence where their was a sign saying Sky High Stables. Katie drove parking lot and turned her ingein off, pulling the keys out of the igincition. She turned to look at her daughter stroking her head. "Honey, are you sure you'll be alright?" Katie asked concered about her daughter. All Kristen did was nodded. Katie sighed silently then pulled away getting out of the car. "Kristen you coming?" Katie asked sighing, as her daughter got out of the car holding Missy. "Alright I'll go see if I could find the owner." Katie said setting off heading towards the corral. Kristen put Missy down and then quickly took out her blue pocket knife and pressed roughly onto her skin on her arm, making blood flow out. She quickly walked over to a rain puddle, to let the blood drop. Kristen quickly let the blood dropped and pulled a rag from her pocket to dry the blood. Then she pulled a badage from her suitcase from the car, and then plasted it onto her arm. Sighing, Kristen put her pocket knife back into her pocket, with her bloody old rag.

Matt
Matt smiled after Alli left, he knew a thing or two becuase of Sarah and would bet that Alli hid scars much like his sister. He tugged Sarah after Maggie to the cabins. The McCoy's help bring their suitcases to the cabin and then said goodbye and left.
Matt had his arm around Sarah. Changing places was hard for them both but it had always been harder on her. "Come on Sarah choose your bed and get settled in, we'll go look at the horses after."
Sarah Sarah payed little attention to Alli, except for the fact that Matt seemed intrested in her. "You want to go see that girl again." She acused him and and grabbed her backpack, tossing it onto the top bunk of one of the bunkbeds stuck in the corner. He only laughed slighty and claimed a single bed by a window.
She huffed and climbed up to her bed, flopping down and placing her arm over her face. "I miss everybody already. How much time do you think we'll get to spend with the horses?"

Matt
"I don't know but I'm sure you'll get your fill. We're here to concentrate on us not everyone at home. They'll be fine without us. This place should keep you busy enough that you won't have time to worry about them." He smiled and left the cabin, hearing Sarah's light footsteps following after him. He easily found the corral and leaned against the fence. He looked around, for Alli, though he wouldn't admit it. Not finding her he turned back to the corral watching Maggie and the horses. Sarah huffed again and crossed her arms, leaning against the top rail of the fence. "Quit being such a grump. I'm going to make a few new friends and you could use some too you know."

Alli Maggie was trying to teach one of the horses a new trick when Matt and Sarah returned. She smiled and waved. "So your both all settled in then? Alright then, I'll let you go and introduce yourselves to the horses, just remember to read the rules I have posted on the board when you first enter alright?" Maggie then resumed her training with the stubborn stallion.
Walking out of the house, Alli sighed, slamming the door behind her and then jogging to the stables, ignoring the other people who were there, looking for her mother. Once inside, she went over to Coley's stall and opened it. "Hey boy....." Was all she said before grabbing ahold of his halter and slipping it on, then walking him out to the areana. Once she tied him up, she went and got his tack, then came back out, glancing at the door to see Matt and Sarah once again, before heading over and beginning to tack up Coley.
Sighing, Maggie let the stallion back into the pasture after having attempted the trick for the 8th time, but not succeeding, she then walked around the corner and saw another family standing at the front of the house. Quietly walking over, she smiled and stuck out her hand. "Hello....you must be Katie and that's your daughter here for the program I presume?" Maggie said glancing over at the child, whom was casually leaning against the vehicle.

Sarah Sarah nodded and hopped away from the fence. She was eager to see the horses, it's mostly what she came for. She ignored her brother and slowed to a paced walk as she entered the stables. She couldn't keep still as she quickly read the rules. She looked around the stable at all the different horses, one automaticaly catching her eye. "Oh wow, what a beautiful horse." She walked up to the striking gray mare. She had never seen one that was the so dark before. She offered her hand to the mare and gently stroaked her nose. "Hey Matt look at this one. Isn't she pretty?"

Matt
Matt sighed and laughed at his sister. "Yeah she's pretty." He had noticed Alli with a horse in the areana and was tempted to go talk to her. He was about to when a black nose pushed him roughly from a stall. He looked over at a magnificent Fresian and smiled. "Well hello there boy. Nice to meet you." He wondered if they were allowed to pick their horses and if they could start riding. He looked over to Sarah who was busy stroking the mare and talking softly to her. He knew enough about horses that he wasn't afraid to step into the stall. He opened the door and stepped in softly closing it after him. "Hey boy. I wonder what your name is huh?" He stroked the Fresian's neck and moved to running his hands over the horse's body.

Kristen
Katie turned to look at Maggie, smiling and shaking her hand. "Hello. Yes, she's here for the program. Maggie is it? We spoke on the phone." Katie said shaking the hand once more then letting go and turned her head to look at Kristen. Sighing she nodded. "She might be a little troubled, but hopefully she'll losen up. Her horse died just a year ago, and she is still pretty upset about it.." Katie explained.
Kristen looked up at her mother and a woman who she was talking to, and locked her eyes onto her mother. When her mother looked at her she quickly looked down into the rain puddle, where Missy was rolling. Kristen smiled, but hid it from her mother and Maggie. She picked Missy up and stroked her wet fur. She heard whinnys from the pasture and from the stables, her smile fading away. Sighing she put Missy back down, and looked around seeing a girl walk into the stable, and then a girl and a boy talking to each other against the corral. She turned her head to look at a swaying a tree, full of colorfull leaves, blowing in the soft wind. ]

Alli Maggie watched as Kristen completely ignored them, she understood how hard it was to lose a horse, even if it was a human in her case. She still had kept her son's room the same way after he died. "Don't worry....she'll do just fine here.....and you can come visit her every 2 weeks if you'd like..." Maggie said, brushing some strands of hair out of her face that was blown by the wind.
Alli saw Matt and Sarah interacting with some of the horses, smirking she decided to go over and maybe tell them about the horses. "Stay Coley....good boy..." Coley snorted and shook his head before turning and nipping at his flank. "The Fresian's name is Buddy....their names are on the doors.....and their info is written beside....the mare's name your petting is Misty....she's kinda the oldest one here.....14 years old....." Alli suddenly realized how much she had spoken to them, and quickly lowered her head, kicking at some hay and dirt on the cobblestone ground.

Katie nodded. "Thank you. Would you know where Kristen could put her stuff and everything that she has?" Katie asked quickly glancing to see Kristen looking at the swaying trees.
Kristen ingored her mother looking at her, even though she had her back facing her mother she could still scenct her eyes on her. Kristen folded her arms, and looked down to see Missy exploring the new stable.

Matt
Matt smiled at Alli, she reminded him of Sarah. "Thanks for the introduction to the horses. Their all magnificent. You must like living here with them." He spoke in a quiet gentle voice, wanting her not to be scared of him or shy around him. He had promised himself that he would try and be friendly, and so far it wasn't as hard as he thought it would be.
"This may seem like a dumb question but do we get to choose our horses? And when can we start riding?" He stood next to Cody's muzzle, not bothered by the horses nosiness. He kept his attention on Alli, but in a way he hoped wouldn't scare her off. Sarah
Sarah smiled and softly repeated the name. She read over the information, pretending not to pay attention to her brother. He wasn't acting as he normaly did, he was being friendly. She scoffed gently and went back to Misty. "Your a very pretty girl. Would you like to be friends?" She ran her fingers through her forelock and scratched the mare's ears.

Alli "Yea I guess so sometimes...." Alli replied while glancing back and seeing Coley snorting and pulling on the rope. "Sorry....Coley's getting impatient.....also be careful around Mitch....he's quite a grump...he's the tom cat who likes to hang around our girls...." Dashing herself over to Coley, she stroked his mane and side, shushing him. Once he was settled, then she began putting on his saddle, reins and everything else. Untying the rope, she then walked back over to finish up answering the question Matt had asked. "My mom will tell you about all that later...." Alli said before backing Coley up and then walking him out of the stable from the horse door.
Once they were outside, she swung the reins over his back, letting them rest on the saddle before hoisting herself up onto him. Then making sure everything was good, she clicked her tongue and gently nudged him with her heels, making him snort slightly before he headed off at a nice paced trot.
Maggie smiled before nodding. "Yes there's some cabins just kinda behind you there.....once you get settled in, then you may head over either to the stables or the pasture to see some of the horses.....also please read the rules I have up when you first go into the cabin and stables.....alright?" Maggie smiled as she then headed off towards the pasture again.
