"Thank you for your flattery," Talhevar said with a little chuckle, "but I do believe I'm the only one in the area who sells any gelati at all. ...hm." He stood and went back to the table, getting the same order as this man. It was his favorite, after all. He ate some gelato primly before speaking.
"You know, I've been terribly rude. I am Talhevar Aleanaltinannia. Talhevar is fine." He smiled. Crazy last name ahoy!

"Well I wouldn't know that yet, now would I? I've not been in town long and don't make a habit of searching every city I'm in for places that sell gelati. I've had friends who would but I tend to just wander about." he laughed lightly.

"So far as I know I am. Been a long time that I've been living on Gaia at the very least." the other man replied thoughtfully.
He honestly never really bothered trying to figure out where he was from - what was the importance of that, in this case? He wasn't there now, had never been told anything about it, and it showed no interest in him. So, given that sort of information, he figured he would just continue living his life. Worry about other such things later.

Talhevar smiled softly and nodded. He would have given the same reply, although he knew where he was from. It was just so long ago...
No, no. Now was not the time for silly fancies. He was here at a table with a kind man, holding a conversation. That was good enough.

"Kind of like the bookshop. Though, I do prefer to see people actually getting books. No point in owning a place that is 'something to do' when no one bothers to come inside." the neko commented, rolling his eyes a little. That gesture was followed by a small shake of the head and another sip taken to his tea.
"You're quite good at what you do at least. Years of practice, I'd guess."

Riot grinned at that. "I'd say you don't look it but that might be taken as an insult rather than the intended compliment. Though, I was right in my feeling childish in your presence. I've barely lived a millennium and a half, myself."

"Ah. 165 years, quite a nice time to get established in a place. I was still in Europe back then. I don't think I finally came this way till at least the 1910s." Riot mentioned thoughtfully. He'd had to leave Ireland - a place that had always felt so homey to him - due to war and religious problems several times.

"I had another shop before, not nearly so high-class, I'm afraid," Talhevar nodded, "and that's part of the reason I left my old home." He had finished his food and so now just sat there, looking the man over.
