Borings stuffs.
I'm Iain, I'm 17, and I live in the UK.
I frequent the AMC (God knows why).
Due to my geographical location I don't really know a thing about American comics, and my knowledge on most animation is below average.
However, I am hoping to learn more about some of the American heros, especially the Teen Titans. They've particularly caught my interest.

Comic-related Interests: Most of you know I'm a decent authority on Spider-man and I'm alright with Marvel in general. I do know some about DC but it mostly revolves around the justice league or the respective groups of each of the big Seven. I'd like to get more into Ironman,Hulk and the teen Titans/outsiders.
Anime/Manga interests: Big fan of Ken Akamatsu (for those of you who don't know, he wrote Love Hina, AI Love you, and is currently working on Negima) Like Kenshin, Trigun, Naruto, Ranma, DNA^2, GTO, Akira, and I'm currently trying to get into Kamunagara. I know crap about Gundams.
Other intrests: I like the internet, frequent the A/M/C often and quite often dream up battles in my head. Other than that, I like to work out and I'm practicing Kendo right now.

Well... I posted this in the "Welcome to the AMC Templars" sticky... but because no one reads stickies, and because this thread was designed specifically for that purpose... I'll post again. And I'll add a little more info about me.
Hello all who don't know me... and all who do. blaugh
I am Thistle-chan.
Stats: I'm 18 years old, engaged, living as a visitor in Canada, (and thus cannot get a job or anything), aspire to be a web designer maybe eventually, plan on majoring in communication when I get back to my hometown (or city) of San Antonio, TX.
While my knowledge of Anime/Manga/Comics as a whole is very limited, I have exposed myself to quite a bit. To catch everyone up on what I know about, here is a list of WHAT I HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN/READ MYSELF:
Anime:
Cowboy Bebop (I watched the first five episodes on DVD yay)
Chobits (the animated series... yay for english subtitles)
Record of Lodoss War (All of what I believe to be season one. Also on DVD)
Sadly but surely, Digimon (My little brother forced me! I swear!)
Pokemon (A looong time ago)
DragonBall Z (very very limited info. I watched an episode every Saturday for maybe a month and a half... several years ago)
Manga:
Chobits (I own all cool )
Love Hina (maybe 5 issues read in total)
Comics:
Hellboy (about 5 trades)
Y the Last Man (all three trades and all the issues to date)
Transmetropolitan (the first two trades, not counting "0")
Daredevil (three trades so far, and still working)
Harley & Ivy miniseries (so cute! biggrin )
Mystique (just one issue)
JLA (just one issue)
Batgirl (just one issue)
Bone (just one issue)
NOW. As far as general knowledge goes, I am relatively proficient in the realm of comic books... due in an absolutely phenominal part to the fact that my fiance is the guild captain and knows way more than I do and has on numerous occasions explained things to me in the privacy of our private messages.
However. For those of you who don't know me, I'm trying not to get anything or anywhere I don't deserve to have or be, just because Oni and I are a couple. Thus, I'm stealing all his comic books, one by one, and reading them. I would buy some myself but I have no spare money. All my spare money goes to food. Which is arguably more important than comics. wink
Anyhow. That's all about me. Most of that even those who know me probably didn't know. domokun I wouldn't have posted it when I first joined because you would have to remove 3/4 of that list probably and that would just be too pathetic to admit. And don't anyone who's been interested in comics for more than a year show me up with their list, because I have read and watched nearly all of what's listed above within the last year, and a lot of trades within the last few weeks. My alias comes from a name my dad thought of giving me, "Sunflower", with "Goddess" thrown on because it looks pretty.
I started watching anime about 10 years ago (Sailor Moon dub on TV) as a kid, and I have been watching the fandom grow and grow since then. I did start out, shamefully, as a chat room n00b when I was 10-11ish, but I learned from my mistakes. I think how I learned to behave myself is a very good example of how there is hope for even the dumbest of n00bs.
It was all SM until I was a teenager, and then people started showing me other anime and I became interested.
I was a the pretty average kid who thought all relationships were "gross", and I was a prude until I was about 14 or so, so I never expected that I'd one day become known for defending adult anime.
Outside of watching adult anime, some of my favorites are Brother Dear Brother, Sailomoon (I can never abandon my roots), Utena, and Alien 9. I've been interested in Marie-sama ga Miteru as well, but a lack of time and losing CDs has caused a delay in downloading episodes of it. I am also in love with Please Save My Earth, both the anime and the manga. Basicly, I like shoujo and adult anime, but I do switch over to other genres once in a while. Another favorite anime of mine is Noir.
I have been interested in all kinds of animation since I was a baby, and have not abandoned my interest. One of my all-time favorite movies is The Lion King, and my liking of that movie has earned me shunning from some anime fans. I also am a furry.
I was born and raised in Canada's capital city. I haven't travelled much. I attend Anime North in Toronto yearly, and am looking to attending other cons.
Aside from animation, I love baking, studying astrology, and being around water.

I'm Key, or Chi. Take your pick. I live in California and will hopefully be moving to Japan in a few months.
My main forum is actually the Final Fantasy forum. Obviously, I love video games and spend my time debating and forming theories on games that actually have some depth to them. People there show how little people know about the culture the games originate in.
I read manga more than I watch anime, and my collection continues to grow. As you'll see from my signature, I collect [GOOD] fanart. I have a slight obsession with including images in my posts, but I didn't know if people would like that here. >.>; I'm currently practicing kendo.
I know nothing of American comics and am aware that I will be schooled simply by being here.
My favorite areas of study: Japanese language and popular culture (and I'm talking actual academic study), astronomy (if you know of any meteor showers or new discoveries, I'd appreciate PMs)
I like Star Trek:TNG. Let's get that out into the open right now. My favorite movie is The Fifth Element. I currently work in a movie theater. ( gonk )
I listen to just about everything but hardcore stuff and country. India Arie is my favorite singer. I've recently been downloading Gackt and Ayu music videos, because they amuse me greatly.
