Kronik Does anyone really care how "we", as in human beings, got on earth? Why don't we spend our money on keeping us here rather than trying to explode the world? Look up the Egyptian Creation story, they knew what they were talking about.

MQuestionable Schevia Kronik Does anyone really care how "we", as in human beings, got on earth? Why don't we spend our money on keeping us here rather than trying to explode the world? Because keeping us here doesn't involve exploding the world. Exploding the world does. xd

Some thinks that's what's going to kill us in 2012. I don't believe in that at all. Sorry but there might be other reasons than the end of the world to the fact the Mayan calendar ends there, like, the fact the Spanish killed them before they could continue it.
But hey, they invested billions in this machine, sure, but it's not going to be enough to make everything explode. The hundreds of particles they'll make collide is nothing compared to those involved in the original big bang.

The test with high powered particles is next month. Good luck, everyone.

Mortician the experiment is designed to decifer the matter and anti-matter quantities to be able to work out how the big bang happened, how the universe exists, what it consists of. if the matter & anti-matter were equal quantities to start with then there would have been nothing, thsi experiment is made to pretty much work out how we came about and a whole lot more along those lines. its actually really intriguing stuff. they are charging sub atomic atoms through a 17 mile underground ring and colliding them into each other at the speed of light to work out the forementioned. this experiment could re-write the text books and redefine life as we know it. The experiment is also to collide atoms. basically, they wanted to make this experiment so they can collide atoms to find out more about the most unexamined element today. Now I don't believe in this future stuff, but everyone has heard of December 12, 2012 as Dooms Day. I completely doubt that dooms day will ever arrive, but its makes me curious, though. The LHC has is built 4 years before 2012, so what if that is the date that the LHC crashes and destroys the earth?

The LHC has is built 4 years before 2012, so what if that is the date that the LHC crashes and destroys the earth? Don't start thinking such things. The only reasons why people starts thinking that is because: A) The mayan calendar doesn't go further B) Nostradamus, the guy who predicted 9/11 centuries before it happens, said it would happen. For A) I do believe there's other explainations to this than the end of the world. Maybe the scientists were just unable to understand it, like they can't find the secrets of Egyptian's architecture as well as other civilizations technics, who built stuff that are still there milleniums after it was done. And for B), he only said it would be the end of the world as we know it now, if we translate it the good way. There was no mention of the end of everything. It might be just a way to say there will be major changes on that date, like the entire Earth being in a financial crisis, like in the 20-30's, because of the American Stock Market. Plus, there was a lot of his predictions that were proved wrong. All this to say that after 2000, 2001, 2002, I don,t believe in the end of the world anymore.
