Ro-Honda and the Wild Life Event
Gabriel found out about a once a year event for autistic kids held at a wild life center from a good friend named Lu. If the event didn’t make Ro-Honda happy at least the fashion would. A few other events where going on. One had to do with hand bags and dresses. She still didn't want to go , So Gabriel took Ryan , Ephesians and Autumnus. He brought the semi twins to watch Ryan. The autistic event taught on organic ways to help your child over come autistic issues and how to use their quirks to help them. Gabriel wasn't sure about it but it couldn't hurt to go.
"Ok you have his sports backpack right" he said going through a snack pack full of goodies. " Dad cool it " Ephesians said as Autumnus just smirked. "I know but this is a big deal” he squeezed Ro-Honda's hand " If this wild life ‘who ha’ works it could crack this shell" rubbing Ro's head. Gabriel was speaking about Ro-Honda's speech problems and abnormal social skills. “Or at least stop the random screaming“ Gabriel chuckled.
" So snacks at twelve, we have thirty bucks to spend at the shops , and fifteen for Ryan , if he gets fussy don't feel afraid to call, noo leaving the wild life park, at three meet up with you back here" Autumnus said with a serious look. Gabriel put his hand on his chest and a tear ran down his face. " You guys have grown up so much, when did you become such good people?" he patted Ephesians back. " Awww Dad we are only babysitting" he said kind of emotional. “That reminds me I need to give you guys that Park Bands so you can ride the rides, and pet the pets as much as you want" he handed Ephesians both of the bands , and then bent down at Ryan's level " here you go buddy be good ok , NO running off" Gabriel said in a stern voice ,Ryan just smiled and gave him a kiss then immediately put the band on.
" DAD NOW" Ro-Honda said with a booming voice. Gabriel took in a breath and went off. He turned around "Be safe guys ok". Ro-Honda looked back at Ryan and waved in a half manner. Gabriel and Ro-Honda walked into the park’s ball room that was almost in the center of the tourist area, and disappeared.
Once they were in Gabriel was in aww , the ball room was so fantasy and had beautiful paintings of animals with wings and swimming in water , a true fantasy story told in the panting. Ro-Honda was looking at the mural too. She saw two rhinoceros running in the water and she imagined it being Ryan and her.
A small lady with a bobbed hair cut was setting up the stage. There where people already seated. Kids where talking all over the place and parents freaking out. Gabriel saw one kid through tantrum like he never saw. This made Gabriel feel bad for ever complaining about Ro. Funny enough Ro-Honda was shocked by the kid and said " silly " as she looked over to the kid. Gabriel smiled , and gave her a pat on her head " very good , you didn't point , and yes vary silly".
They had assigned seats, Gabriel and Ro where in the second row and on the far left. It was an ok seat , but being the last table you couldn't see the stage as a whole like being in the middle. They were about thirty minutes early since the flyer told them to be. They ate small finger foods and drank water. Gabriel talked with Ro-Honda she didn't seem to be so upset anymore.
Soon the place was full of people and an announcer started to speak “Welcome to the Wild life Resort Annual Event for Austsum. We thank you for coming and we hope to be a benefit to you and your children" he bowed and walked off. Then the little lady got back on stage. " Wello my name is Zena , and I am the doctor". She began to speak about her life and why she choice to work in her field. She had a thick accent, and it made both Gabriel and Ro giggle. The people at the table didn't appreciate it.
The people at the table didn't have kids with them and where only at the event to learn. Ro-Honda started to draw each one, and then made better outfits for them on their paper doll. This was much better then listening to the lady. Gabriel was taking notes since the lady had some good things to say. She spoke about doing your best not to get frustrated. Something Gabriel always said. She liked to use power points and graphs and Gabriel liked that.
Soon an hour passed and some parents left since their kids couldn’t handle the wait, something Ro had no problems with. They had a short brake. Gabriel and Ro went back outside. Gabriel decided to call the boys. Ephesians picked up “Hey Dad what’s up" he said. "ohh nothing just calling ,where are you it’s so noisy?" Gabriel said with a question. " Ohh we are in the wild cats petting area its really cool ,we met a parent who has a kid from ICRS , Dad hes so cool " he went on to say that they where haven fun. Gabriel wants to talk to Ryan but he was petting a lion cub and couldn’t talk. Ro was sitting on bench drawing some more as Gabriel talked. " Well I hate to stop you , but we need to get back in before it gets to crowed in here , make sure to update me some more , glad you found someone to chat with" Gabriel stated waited for a bye then hung up. " Who dat" Ro asked , " That was your brother Ephesians , there petting animals" he said in an almost baby voice. Ro could care less but she nodded in recantation.
They went in for part two they change up the place, and now there were no tables. They were now going to do activities. “This should be fun” Gabriel thought sarcastically. Ro and Gabriel looked at the announcer and the speaker, they where both front stage looking at all the people. “Ok find a spot and get ready for the fun” he said with a cheesy smile. “Ok now I and my friend will show you simple exercises that will help you and your child get on the same page” she looked at the man with a smile.
Gabriel looked at Ro “you ready”. She kind of gave a “if I have to face” at him. The first one was the fall backwards trust exercise. Only kids fell back, most of the kids didn’t get it and didn’t do it. Yet Ro-Honda didn’t find a problem with it. She trusted her dad and she saw the lady do it, so why not. The lady explained why some of the kids didn’t do it, and some did. Since each person has mental walls, some kids don’t have them and will do pretty much anything, others can’t grasp the concept, others had fears and droughts’ or over though the situation. Gabriel was shocked when he learned something from this simple exercise.
They did more exercise liking jogging around, and blind folding their kids and walking around. The announcer and speaker gave the same kind of speeches after each exercise. Once more Ro-Honda had no problem with them since her Dad was with her. Once the exercises where over and they had a small brake. Gabriel talked with Ro the whole time. She started to open up. She was enjoying herself but didn’t like all the people around. Gabriel felt the same way but didn’t say anything.
Once the brake was over the tables where back up. Gabriel went back to the seats. It seemed Ro-Honda and him where they only ones left. Speaker talked “Ok would anyones like me twwo talk with their kid one on one?” she asked. Gabriel raised his hands, and so did a few others. To his shock she picked Ro-Honda. Gabriel started to walk with Ro who was feeling really unconformable. When speaker said “Ohm just her Sir, let her come up by herself” she smiled. Gabriel almost said something but didn’t. Ro didn’t move but Gabriel patted her back and helped her move. She walked one small step after another. Did she really have to talk to this lady. She really wanted to turn around.
Once she was on the stage the lady started to talk “What’s your name hooney” the speaker asked. “Ro” she stated. “Is that your Daddy, what’s his name?”. Ro knew his name but didn’t answer. “What’s your name Sir” she asked. “Gabriel” he shouted. “Well first off she doesn’t like attention” she started to analyze Ro-Honda. Gabriel didn’t like it but took the beating to help himself maybe good could come from this. He never left the spot he stopped in. So he was standing the whole time. Once she was allowed to move she ran right to Gabriel. He gave her a big hug , and told her how proud he was of her, even though she didn’t really do much.
The announcer noted to people how Gabriel’s love and support really helped the situation, and contributed to her growth. Gabriel felt even funnier now. The event went back to talking and more notes and Ro-Honda was still drawing. Her note book had five new drawings in it not counting the paper dolls made.
Things where wrapping up. People with gift bags came out handed them to the remanding people. They got a shirt, a towel and a book by the speaker. When Gabriel got his he said thank you and Ro smiled at the man and went back to drawing. The speaker said her good byes “ Eell we have to work on loving our kids , make sure they eat right , do activates , and never stop wovinvg them , you all have been great , good bye”. Then the announcer spoke a bit on how to get a hold of the speaker and how you could get more books, but Gabriel didn’t care and got up and walked off holding Ro’s hand.
He looked up at the ceiling art one more time and so did Ro. They walked outside; the event was done early so Gabriel and Ro had time to do some shopping. They went to a tent event for special bags. Gabriel was thinking about buying one for Ro-Honda if she liked it since the money was going to a good cause. She liked a bag that was black and had a tree print one it. It was really classy just like her. He picked up the designer bag, it was really expensive but he had the money so he bought it for her. Ro-Honda’s eyes almost popped out. She was so happy she hugged him “Thank you, Daddy” she said in a soft and happy voice.
She put it around her shoulder and walked the rest of the time like she was a model. They walked back to the spot they were meeting up with the boys. They waited for a bit and the boys showed up with a lady and really cool looking boy. He had four arms, and the lady was part unicorn. They chatted a bit then Gabriel stated that they needed to go. The day was successful and Gabriel felt good about this adventure.
