Spellbound Truth

Hearing the sneeze, Michiko turned around, and noticed Mizu on the couch nearby. She didn't look all that well in the position she was in. Walking over, Michiko planted herself on the free couch and looked to the other shinigami. "Are you alright, Mizu-san?" She asked, wondering if she was feeling sick or something.

Mizu sat up straight, and eyed Michiko sitting on the couch. One eye of ers was closed, from flinching, and her right hand, held over the redness. "Oh, I'm fine. That sneeze just brought back some pain from yesterday. See, last night, I was running through the wastelands in squad 10, so I wasn't paying attention, and I kinda ran into a tree. And, please, just call me Mizu."

Mizu blushed from telling her this. It was extremely embarassing to tell someone that she had run into a tree.

Hearing her story, Michiko smiled sympathetically and said, "Pains that just won't go away are the worst aren't they. Mustn't have been fun to run into a tree either then, Mizu. Of course I fall flat on my face a lot so I can relate in away." As soon as she asked Michiko dropped the -san suffix on her name, even though she called nearly everyone their names using that respect, but of course, someone asked, so she'd change it.

Glancing around the house, she turned back to Mizu and asked, "Don't you find this place rather grand? Tansen must have come from a rather well off family in his life here."

Mizu felt better. Michiko seemed like the kind of person she could become instant friends with. "Haha, thank you for understanding then. And, no need for formalities with me, you're my friend, so you can call me Mizu."

Mizu was paying attention to the house. "From what I can remember, I had a much larger house. I don't actually remember, but I think I might be starting to remember my past a little now."

"Ah okay then, I'm just too used to using the formalities I guess, old habits stick strong," Michiko said, laughing a bit at herself. The funny thing was a Rukongai resident for as long as she was there shouldn't ever remember that many formalities. It was something she taught herself way back when she was in the academy.

"Ah, well, its big compared what I remember, considering my family lived on a boat, though I was really little then, I don't remember all of it," Michiko mused.

((Just passing through since you guys changed the coordinates of the Sekai Gate to this place.))

Oblivious to the fact that Maxi-taicho had changed the coordiantes for the Gate, Xeion came rushing out from the Sekai Gate and saw a completely different place. Xeion stopped his Rider, resulting in a cloud of dust, as he looked around the place where he exited. Unfamiliar with the new territory, Xeion grit his teeth. "Damn it, did the Gate malfunction!? Why am in a mansion's courtyard!?" He thought to himself but shrugged it off.

Turning the built-in GPS on, Xeion inputted the words "Karakura Outskirts". He smiled when he saw that he was still inside Karakura Town, and that the Outskirts was just a few minutes ride from this mansion. "Wait for me, Yuki. Onii-chan's coming to get you!"

Revving up his Rider's engine, Xeion circled around the mansion courtyard a total of two times so that he could gain enough momentum for what he was about to do. By the end of the second turn, Xeion gunned the throttle as he neared the mansion's solid-steel gate. He lifted up his bike, gracefully rolling over the mansion's steel gate, until he landed safely on the asphalt road outside. Without a moment to lose, Xeion ran his Rider towards the karakura Outskirts, blazing past the scenery.

Asuma Haruka

Walking through the gate to earth, as Asuma arrived at the mansion, he couldn't help but notice how big it was. "Subtle..." He whispered to himself. Noticing that barriers were already put up, Asuma walked inside the mansion, looking around. Inside it seemed larger than outside. Walking back outside, Asuma stood near the gate, waiting for any stragglers to come through.

Razil stepped inside the dust laden halls, bringing up a face-mask to keep from breathing in the particles. He stepped up next to Michiko and Mizu, who were conversing about their past lives. "I lived in two places...my parents were divorced." He said, his face somber and his eyes full of memories. Not wanting to think about it much more, he snapped up. "What do we do now that were here? Pick ourselves rooms? Or will there be a briefing?" He looked around for Tansen-Taicho.

((I have school to, so if I miss stuff or am absent for long periods I apologize.))

MockaDash was the last to arrive from the gate... He was in awe as he looked at the big mansion in front of him!... He picked up his camera and took a picture of the house, for safekeeping...
Everyone seems to be inside, already... There seems to be several barriers already protecting this place... He said to himself, out loud, as he felt the several reiatsu's auras around him...

Mock rolled a cigarette and went for a stroll around the mansion premises...

As a captain and a soldier, Tansen had trained himself never to show his emotions to others. Right now however, it couldn't be more apparent that he was grumpy about something. Truth was, Tansen couldn't stand being back home, the place which held so many memories of his life on earth. He had only thought of using the mansion as headquarters because it could benifet the team, he didn't think about how it would affect him personally. I should have just had the damn place torn down,,,

Letting out a heavy sigh, he forced a smile on his face and walked over to where a few members of the team were talking amongst themselves. "Alright then. Over to your left and up the stairs are a series of rooms. You can take whatever room you want, they're pretty much the same and there are plenty of rooms for everyone here. Go and drop off your things and then we can talk about the mission together. When Asuma and the others come inside you can tell them too."

With that said, he put his hands in his pockets and began his way up the stairs to his old room. In the middle of the stairway though, he cupped his hands over his mouth and called to the others. "Some of my families things might still be in the rooms, you can do whatever you want with them!"

((You can make your room look whatever suits your tastes, just try and stick with the major theme of the house k?))

(( Suri's taking the room in front with a balcony that overlooks the street!! Dibs!! hahah XD ))

:Upon hearing Tansen's words, Suri entered the house again. From her first run through, she already had a good idea of the basic layout of the house. Retracing her steps up the grandstaircase, Suri took a small amount of time out to admire the decoration that had gone into carving the handle and the wall panelings. With a glance back down the stairs to Tansen, Suri noticed a subtle shift in his emotion, so slight that she would not have recognized it if she had not known him for a bit by now. She took it with a sigh. It was typical for people in the Sereitei not to have pleasant memories of their past. Tansen made it look like he was the same. However, she could be wrong and there might have been something else bugging him.

Deciding to save that thought for a later time, possibly if Tansen ever brought it up himself, Suri finished her trip up the long stairways. She took the first room on the left since it was nearest to her. Opening the creaking door, she took small, tentative steps into a dusty room, beautifully decorated. It was not in the traditional Japanese style that Suri was used to, and that bugged her somewhat. Even while wearing modern clothes, Suri had always been accustomed to traditional settings. The tatami mat that covered the floor of her office gave testimony to that.

However, with a more intensive gaze under the dust, Suri found that Sakura Petals decorated much of the furniture, and even lightly patterend the veil on the four-poster, queen size bed that lay in the center of the room. The veils were tied back, so Suri could see the blankets and pillows, thick, plush, and comfy. Their state of dis-use bothered her though, so she pushed opened the grand, glass doors onto the balcony. Using strong, forceful snaps of her wrist, Suri beat out the dust on the linen and pillowcases before washing them thoroughly in the sink and then hanging them to dry over the balcony railings. She had always loved a room with a good view. On top of that, the window behind her bed let her look into the growing nature that ringed Tansen's house. It was a perfect choice.

Smiling, satisfied, Suri went back out into the hall, finding Michiko and Mizu.

"Hey, do either of you guys need help? I am done tidying up my room so I am willing to help if you guys want," Suri offered her skills up.

What no one knew was that even as a mistress in a grand lord's house, she had often been forced to cook and clean for him, so she had a good hand with maid's work.:

Asuma Haruka

PostPosted: Mon Sep 08, 2008 5:29 pm

Turning around as he heard Tansen yell that they could use the mansion, Asuma was tempted to go inside. I wonder...would there be anything in there...? No...no. Shaking his head, Asuma walked to a tree that was near the mansion, near the edge of the barrier. Jumping and catching one of the branches, Asuma pulled himself up, as he sat down to see around him. The tree was a little tall, and Asuma jumped a few more times to get midway into the tree. Looking out, he could see the second story of the mansion, as well as out over the premises of the grounds, able to see most of the mansions area. "I'll just say here for a while..." Moving his right hand to his eye, his eye burned slightly. Getting annoyed as it continued, Asuma jumped down from the tree, walking into the mansion. The sooner he went to sleep, the sooner the pain would go away. Walking deeper into the mansion, however, he made his way into the study of the whole place. He saw books all over the place, some dusty, while the walls were covered in shelves for them. It seemed like a library, only more secluded. Looking around, he sat down on a nearby couch, and closed his eye, as the pain in his right eye, still covered by the eye patch, burned slightly. He would try to get some rest.

((major theme? Ok, I'll make my room and if it isn't like it should be correct me and ill edit my post.))

After Tansen finished speaking, Razil headed towards the stairs and to the rooms. He reached a long hallway with many doors. Geez, how many people stayed here at a time? he wondered to himself, looking at the various pictures on the walls.

He finally stopped at a door and opened it, knowing immediately that this was the right room. The walls had a dark gray paint layer on it with white trim along the bottom, but what really sold it was the series of empty racks and wall-mounts all throughout the room. The large four-poster bed in the corner helped the decision along as well though, and the comfortable fireplace and reading chair beside it. Razil went to work right away, hanging weapons and such on the walls changing the bed slightly. When he was done, there were twin bardiches crossed above the fireplace, an assortment of pole-arms, swords, bows, arrows, knives, axes, and other weapons decorated the walls, and the bed was now dark red with an oriental design to it, including a dragon design sewn into the ceiling, viewable when one went to sleep. He lit a fire, casting a red-ish glow throughout the place, adding to the ambiance.

He exited the now completed room and shut the door, heading downstairs to the Captain to await the inevitable briefing. He sat down next to Michiko and started listening to the conversation she was having with Mizu.

Mock finished his cigar while enjoying the cool night air... He went inside the building and headed towards the sounds of conversations, that he was able to hear echoing along the mansion walls...
Without previous warning, he took a snapshot of everybody there, and said with a smile Hi there!!! To those of you that don't know me... I'm MockaDash, but you can just call me Mock or Mocka!!!... Nice to meet you all!!!
