yeah but if you think about it, it was something he should've done long time ago. cuz he was killed unfairly before, they didnt even fight to the death. central 46 interrupted and just decided to kill him
So hitsugaya was just "atoning" for his crimes because back then, he won hyourinmaru in an unfair way
