Eupe sighed. "I'm...not sure what got it into his head...but apparently it was some sort of experiment." When Kisa came out of the den, Eupe smiled brightly and padded up to her daughter and nuzzled her. "He did indeed help, my little star." She would let Kisa give her own name...it was never too early to cultivate good manners in her beautiful daughter.
When Aang came out and ate a bite...Eupe felt a great deal of the weight lift from her heart. She smiled at the younger cheetah, the relief showing. "I'm just glad you came back to your senses."

The way the male studied her for a moment or two made the young cheeton a bit nervous - but she trusted her mother. Eupe wouldn't bring anyone dangerous here, and he said he had helped her hunt.
So she scuffed her paws a bit in the dust and said quietly, "I'm Kisa... or at least, that's what everyone calls me."

Njalo glanced quizzically at Aang, who was quite clearly a full-breed cheetah, but who looked nothing at all like Eupe. From the tidbits of the conversation combined with the cheetah’s actions surrounding the meat, Njalo guessed it was he that had previously stuck to primarily vegetables.
"Nice to meet you Aang, and Kisa" Njalo greeted the cheetah, then repeated, "My name's Njalo," because Aang had entered after he had introduced himself.
"Do you... not normally eat meat?" Njalo asked the cheetah politely, intrigued by the cat's unusual fast. Maybe he would try it someday, but even the determined cub had come around, perhaps it would not be an enjoyable experiment... Although, not having to hunt might be worth the sacrifice, Njalo thought jokingly to himself.

"I tried not to... I don't like hunting because of how it hurts others... But I guess I have to, if I'm going to live..." Aang explained, continuing to tear meat off the gazelle and eat it. He paused then, before tearing off a smaller chunk and offering it to Kisa. "There you go, Kisa."

Eupe frowned a bit, then hid it with a smile. She really was worried about Aang. Maybe there was a way for him to not have to worry about it...some way for him to get by without having to be the one doing the hunting. Perhaps there were places like her clan, where there was one group who did the hunting?
She shook the thoughts from her head. "Well...let us enjoy this meal! Thank you a great deal, Njalo."
((I think this last round of posts can wrap it up. <3))

Kisa looked back and forth between her 'brother' and the two adults as they all talked, watching with wide eyes. She thought Aang's refusing to eat meat was silly but he hadn't listened to her either when she had told him that.
She was glad that he had decided to listen to someone finally.
Padding up to the gazelle as well, the smaller cub tore off a little strip of meat for herself, and murmured softly, "Thank you for the meal..."

Njalo nodded at the cub, "You're welcome." With a satisfied smile and a flick of his tail, Njalo sat in a guarding position. For once he felt accepted, almost at home, and he had no intention of leaving. Eupe was fun to be around, and the young ones seemed kind as well. Besides, he'd be consumed by guilt if he just left them. So he'd stay, he thought, if they allowed him.
((FIN?))
