Oi, I'm selophane-girl! biggrin Where I actually post I am known as Dagger, and Gaia is the only thing that I've actually managed to keep myself interested in for more than a year, that is, excluding Evangelion, Tim Burton, books, languages and Television (shows and movies, thank yew). I'm not known, I have a past in the AT, and I still sometimes sneak in there to check on things. I'm 19, f, live in Iceland, and am about two years behind in school for undisclosed reasons (I'm not dumb!) ninja

Hi, I'm lavonia. I'm a lowly senior at UNA, I spend my days getting my a** kicked by academics. Hopefully, one day I can kick a** back as a Printmaking or Studio Arts professor. If that fails, I'll build a barrack in my living room, eat Ramen noodles, and develop paranoria about the yard gnomes across the street. stare
I'm a real live grown up, um...who spends my spare time playing video games, collecting pastel horses, and being as irrevent as possible. stressed I like Sci-Fi, anime, books, art, and such other unholy things.
I'm blatantly honest and somewhat inclined to cynicism and dark humor. People have a tendency to find it hard to get close to me, as I always appear serious, but deep inside I love to be around people.

I think I intorduced myself in the old thread, but I might as well introduce myself again because I've been gone for a long time.
I'm Hope's Gentle Dreaming. Call me Hope. Gaia got rid of apostrophes a long while back, so I couldn't make the first part of my username look the way I wanted it to. In a previous life I was a user by the name of Silver Mooncat, but I killed my old account at the end of February 2004 because I wanted to make it look like I'd left Gaia completely and was never coming back. The person I was avoiding had stalker potential.
I'm 33 and female. I hang out on Gaia because I can talk to nice, intelligent people and have fun. The idea of the avatars is what first drew me here, but the forums convinced me to stay (despite the fact that not many people my age are here). I also like to sell donation letters and help people out on their quests. I don't have any particular thread or forum that I hang out in anymore, as I've been away since the end of July of last year. I used to be in ED and GD, occasionally popping in at Q&F, and hanging out in the Lottos subforum and any quest threads my friend was hanging out in, but these days I just kind of wander around. I'm just starting to settle back into being on Gaia again. Oh, and I'm having lots of fun fishing.
I have two cats and work in a doggie daycare and boarding place. In my profile it says I'm "Hell's directionally impaired tour guide". I'm taking classes at a junior college to help me get my master's degree finished. I'm currently completely parentless, though I did have parents while I was growing up. I'm waiting for my sister to adopt a little Chinese baby girl so I can have a niece I can play with, and so I can feel like an aunt. smile Her husband's Japanese, by the way. And she thought I was a Chinese baby when my mom brought me home from the hospital.
I love animation of any kind---if it's animated, I'll watch it. I frequently tell people that I'm doing research when I watch animated shows or films just to keep them off my back. stare I love animals, and I'm a good shoulder to cry on when things go wrong. I listen very well. In person I am very quiet, but here I'm not. I read lots and especially like mythology. I'm not religious, but I am spiritual. I especially like Chinese food, chocolate and tea, though not necessarily all at the same time.
I can't think of anything more to tell.
