 [[ Can it be a violet agreement? *w* ]] Kary blinked quizzically as Anasii was whisked away and Djanni suddenly appeared. Ah well, it was all good to her. Rubbing her neck sheepishly, the bard smiled cheerfully. "Nice of you to join us Djanni and I hope you don't mind," the bard greeted her pleasently.
"So, should we get started?"

Varnis watched as Vincent materialized, grabbing Anasii, then just vanishing. "Uhhhh... O...k..." He looked about confused, until Djanni appeared. "I suggest we get this started. The sooner the better." He said tapping the blade on the ground. Turning back to the man, he began to speak. "So... Where would you suggest we start to look for the spirits?"

Corollan shrugs off his own confusion at what happened, then turns to regard Varnis, "Well, my suggestion is to go from here and head do north. From me home if ye travel as the crow flies, ya can get to teh heart o' the forest in abou' six to eight hours...give or take." Following his direction he leads you to a slightly worn, and easily followable, trail. Leaving you to your own devices he instructs the group to stand within the line of trees as he works his druidic inspired magic to seal off the forest. A rustling of the trees and leaves is all that can be heard before an unexpected (and very large) wind whips around you all. The wind dies down almost as unexpectedly and quickly as it came, leaving you all to stand and wonder what just happened. "Good luck, and Spirits be with ya!" Corollan shouts to you before he turns and walks back to his cabin. The forest around you seems ominously quite. Not even an animal can be heard for miles. You all follow the trail for many hours till at last, on the fourth hour, a ghostly wail splits the quite...It is the first of many as the sounds heard when you first entered start once more. Suddenly, several people walk from the treeline ahead of you to block the path. They stare at you with souless eyes through matted and tangled hair. Their clothing is tattered and ripped in countless places and their skin seems almost grey. They open their mouths in unison, and from deep within them comes the sounds of those ghostly wails...

Varnis winces as the sound comes from their mouths. "Damn evil spirits..." Varnis swears for a second. Gripping his sword and readying his first attack, he charges in, and swipes his sword at the first creature, trying to fell it in one hit. Spinning around, to another one of the tainted humans, he smashes it in the face with the hilt of his sword. Smiling, he bounces back and forth on his feet, waiting for the next attack. "Finally, some fun!"

Smothering her ears with her hands, Karythelia selected a tune from her repertoire, muttering something about being horribly off key. The bard quickly whipped out her lyre with a graceful flourish and began to strum out chords.
"I'll sing to thee, for us the sun will shine
A love so true, yours and mine."
"This might not be the best time for a song like this," She remarked outloud to herself," But I like it and we need to keep the sun up for as long as possible."[[ Alrighties, we've got a SA and Attack @ Tainted Human #2 ]]

"Cleanup, of course," replied the crumpling form of Coralie from a violently twisting cloak. For a moment, the cloak expanded and snapped open to let out first one and then another creature of dreamt of and dreaded beauty. Naamah and Lilith, curves, claws and all.
((Have to keep it short, in a training seminar, will be over tomorrow. If I can, I'll spiff this up, but I'm on a borrowed laptop right now.))

The tainted humans are destroyed, disappearing in a explosion of mist and deathly wails. Left behind are three, glowing orbs of light, and some kind of strange lantern. The orbs of light float eerily in place, giving off a grayish light in the fast approaching dusk.

Varnis walked up to one of the three lights. Looking at one, and seemed to be fascinated by them. Waving his hand in front of the light, he turns and looks at the lantern. "I think we should place these lights in the lantern..." Varnis said as he walked over to the lantern, and inspected it.

"Where ever they came from, I don't think it matters. We had no issue with them." Varnis said as he stood up, and started to collect the lights in the lantern. "But then again, its getting dark, and they might be stronger now..." Varnis finished with.

As you collect the three orbs in the lantern they seem to form into one, their glows combining and illuminating the area around you.

*scowling, Djanni folds her arms across her chest, the Fire stirring faintly behind her eyes*
"One moment, if you would please be so kind. I am to understand we are here on some sort of "clean up" mission? I am still unclear; what is our task here, and who has requested this of us?"
