Samantha instantly grabbed the tower of sand that Wynni had just created. Her tongue stuck out of her mouth just a tad as she did so. She pulled it over by her little pile that she had started on her own. She smiled and worked with the sand as she made the pile grow higher and higher. Her little wings flapped a little with each grasp of sand.

Inside, Erikk nodded and said, "Yes, I understand haha. I wouldn't want that. Lets do though. There is a table right over there, and near a window where we can see our daughters just in case haha." With a smile, he began to take step by step closer to the table near the window. Once he got there, he pulled the chair out for Riulve. "Here, please, sit." he said smiling.

Wynni grinned as she watched the girl for a moment, "I'm gonna get some rocks and things to make it pretty." She wasn't planning on leaving the box but more wander around it. She had seen some lovely bits of pebbles and rocks just around their area and she'd also make sure Samantha didn't get it into her head to swallow any objects she collected.

Riulve followed the man and sat down when the seat was pulled out for her, "Thank you," She said simply with a small smile. She didn't seem upset or insulted by the gesture though to many around them figured she would be. Patiently she waited for Erikk to seat himself.

Samantha smiled and nodded as the girl went her own way to gather the pebbles and rocks for her. Samantha just sat, still gathering as much sand as possible to build her little castle bigger. It was up to her hips if she were to stand up, so she figured it was getting pretty big.

Erikk nodded and then seated himself. "So, how have you gotten along all your life? I'm just curious." he asked. He was already getting personal with the questions. He was surprised at himself. Normally he would stick to chit-chat, but this time it was actually going somewhere. Maybe he would be making himself a new friend?

Wynni wandered about the sandbox within easy view of the smaller girl. Sometimes the reptilian tailed girl would mutter to herself as she picked something up only to discard it or to put it into her pile that she was forming in her arms. Soon she rejoined Samantha with an array of oddly shaped and colored pebbles she managed to find and a couple of nice sticks. "There we are!" She put them within reaching distance for Samantha.

She paused a moment as if she needed to interpret what the question meant before she replies, "I was a mercenary for a lot of my adult life. Otherwise I never really had to worry very much...My clan always looked out for me." Riulve shrugged, "How about you?"

Samantha giggled and grabbed at the stick. She stuck it in the middle of the pile of sand that she had created. She placed the another two sticks on either side of the pile and she grabbed some of the pebbles and strew them about the whole sand castle. She clapped and giggled. "Yay! It done!" she said smiling, standing up and clapping. She pointed at her masterpiece and looked at Wynni, making sure that she knew what Sam had accomplished.

"Well..." Erikk said with a pause. He should have thought that the question would have been redirected back towards him. "Honestly, it's been a little tough taking care of the kids. But I've been doing a good job at it. My...girlfriend...she helps me out a lot too. Without her, I honestly don't know where I'd be." he said, nodding, wondering where the conversation would go later.

Wynni laughed and clapped her own hands together, "It looks beautiful, Sam! You are such a good castle builder." The tailed girl complimented. "Want to build another one together?" Might as well keep both herself and the little one busy for a moment longer.

The white haired woman nodded quietly as she listened to him talk, "Always good to have someone in your corner to help you out." She said with a small smile. "Where do you guys live at? Maybe Wynni and I can come over for more regular playdates. I take the lack of blood curdling screams to be a good sign."

Samantha clapped again and smiled. "Yes!" she said, answering the other girls question. She did want to build another. She stood up, wobbled over a few steps, plopped down, and went to work. "Help?" she asked smiling. She began to create another castle, much and almost exactly like the first.

Erikk nodded and replied, "Yes, that would be wonderful. We live in Durem in Gaia. We often move around a lot between worlds because of my son. But if you would ever feel like coming on over, we'd be very glad to have you!" He smiled, warmly, hoping that someday they could have another play date. The two did seem to have fun together already. "Yes, that must be a great sign." he said.

Wynni giggled nodded, "Sure!" Again she went about collecting pebbles and harmless shiny object and brought them to the smaller girl to do with as she wanted. She even helped pile up more sand next to Samantha for easy reach.

The white haired woman paused a moment as Erikk spoke before she replied, "That is very good, we live near Durem, so it wouldn't be too far for us to go when we do visit." She replied with a chuckle.

"A very, very good sign, perhaps they will remain good friends."

Samantha giggled and smiled as she pulled up more sand into the larger pile. She also grabbed some of the pebbles and threw them about on top. She giggled more and kept on going as the castle grew larger and larger.

"Yes, it does seem like a good sign." he said smiling. He was happy that his daughter had met someone who could stay friends with her throughout her life. Hopefully that would never end. Erikk loved having friends to go with when times got rough, although, he hadn't really had many in the beginning. Now he has made a couple. He was happy.

The tailed girl grinned happily down at her new little friend and laid out the pebbles and things she found, and even a couple of flowers and fallen pine cones had made their way into the mix. "One day we will live in a castle, that'd be fun!"

For a moment Riulve fell silent most likely looking for things to carry the conversation along even though the lapse of silence was a comfortable one, to her, rather than awkward. "What are your hopes for your child?" It was a mostly philosophical question.

Samantha smiled as she grabbed the different things and placed them around her pile of dirt. She gaped when she heard the word 'live' and 'castle' in the same sentence. She was amazed at even the slightest possibility that they could live in a castle. "I wis I liveded in a casoo. Dat would be so much fun!" she said. It was amazing, her first full sentence, or two. Wow, weird. She had never said anything nearly as full, nor nearly as close to a real sentence before in her life.

Meanwhile, inside the library, the two parents were sitting down. Erikk started to get into a philosophical debate within himself. What did he want Samantha to do? What were his hopes for her? He wanted her to be successful, that was for sure. But what exactly did he want? "Well...I have never really thought about it. I want her successful, that's for sure. I hope that she will always be as successful as she can. I know school and things are going to be needing to start soon. She is just a toddler after all. No need to worry about that for a while, right? Maybe home schooling for the first part. What about you? What are your plans for Wynni? She seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Almost a motherly type, wouldn't you say?" he said, still trying to figure out what he wanted most from Samantha.

Wynni beamed happily at Samantha and nodded, "Yeah! It would and we could be princesses and have servants to do things for us. It would be great," she giggled at the thought. She seemed pleased that Sam had spoken a full sentence whether or not it was for the first time, which is something she did not know.

The white haired woman nodded in a manner that was patient and thoughtful before she responded to his return question, "I want the same thing for my Wynni. I want her to be a strong young woman and to be able to make her own decisions in life good or bad. I want her to learn from her mistakes..." She glanced out the window quietly for a moment. "I think as long as she is happy I could live with just that."

Samantha giggled again with the mention of servants and princesses. She liked that idea quite a bit. She didn't completely understand what they would do, but the word princess, she knew very well. She was always into fairy tales, ever since Erikk had started reading them. She would have a hard time sleeping because of these thoughts of fairy tales and things.

Erikk looked outside of the window as well. He was happy to see the two get along so well. He nodded and agreed with everything that this white haired woman had to say. "Yes, I think that would be perfect. Learning from her mistakes would be one thing that needs to be done." he said in a wishing sort of way. He couldn't wait for her to grow old with her future far ahead of her.

Wynni watched and helped Samantha for a time until there was a small grumble issuing from her stomach, "Uh oh...Hungry..." She murmured as her hand moved to her stomach. Wynni shifted her shoulders a bit which caused her wings to twitch and move a little. "Maybe we should go see if we can get food..."

Riulve nodded in response and smiled. She had begun to like the man before her. He seemed to have a good, respectable head upon his shoulders. She glanced out the window once more observing her daughter more than anything, "Seems like it might be time for us to part, Erikk."

Samantha smiled and was surprised by the sounds Wynni's stomach decided to make. Food did sound good at this time. Samantha decided she wanted some. She got up, stretched a bit, and started wobbling towards the door of the library saying "FOOD! FOOD! ME WANT FOOD!" she was excited for it now and that was the end of that.

Erikk on the other hand was also getting ready to go. "Yes, it seems as if they are coming inside, doesn't it. It was very nice to meet you Riulve. We will have to make some time and get together again sometime. Come on Samantha, it's time to go." he said smiling, picking up Samantha at the door. He turned around and waved to his new found friends, as did Samantha, and they began to walk home, now having a new book to read to her at night. "FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!" could be heard all the way down the road from the poor girl who seemed to be starving.
