BACK TRACK, RP with Yume & LP 9/27/2005

LP wrote:
LP having been out shoping for more books for willow came into the shop with a bag full of books in one hand and the other had a bag full of clothing, for she had went shoping as well. Sitting the bags down willow had been sitting on her head the whole time and leapt from LP's head to the desk landing on it rather graceful like looking around her eyes narrowed slightly. Both seemed to be in a bit of a bad mood.
Willow looked at LP and muttered something almost inaduible.
"That's it Willow, I've had enough. You're not allowed to talk to those ghosts, watch tv or read books for a whole month unless I'm helping you! DO you understand that? I've had it up to here with you and your cocky attitude and not willing to learn the way you should be taught!" She shook her head and walked over to an empty corner of the shop took out her sword and started to polish it before even saying hello to everyone, "TC, Trea, umm sir, and plush." Was all that came from her inform of a greeting.
With having been scolded as such, Willow sat down with a sad sigh and crossed her arms. Not to talk to my friends? She thinks she can stop me? Just wait.

Mr. Cerebrus Wrote:
-He blinked and looked around. That was most unusal for him to see such things. He looked down at Trea who was already making her way over to Willow.-
-She looked up from the floor, climbing was not her specialty. She swished her tail lightly.- Willow?

Xoniac Wrote:
TC gazed at Willow and LP, who were arguing, and chuckled softly, shakign her head. She reached behind her, grabbing Khadira and setting her on her lap, as well as removing the wolf plush bag before leaning back against the couch, arms wrapped behind her head, fingers linked, and legs crossed. She seemed pretty comfortable, stretched out on the couch like that. "Hey LP!" She spoke under her chuckle, lowering one had now to pet the plush on her lap.

LP Wrote:
LP still mad sighed looking over to TC did her best to give a smile. "I see you got your presant." Looking to the plush in TC's lap she yawned softly looking at willow and trea. She shook her head looking to the man sitting on the other couch. "Sorry you had to see that..." she muttered paying more attion to her sword which she was still shineing when it wasn't in need of shining anymore.
Willow sighed and got up looking at Trea for a moment before she jumped down landing on her feet beside her mouse friend. Her ears were pinned down as she walked towards the plush toys on their shevles. She didn't really have anything to say at the moment but just mearly gave her friend a sideways look that asked if trea was going to follow.

Xoniac Wrote:
TC nodded enthusiastically. "yeppers! Thankies!" She smiled softly, giving a quick scan of the room before focusing on LP's sword again. "Aha. You and your weapons, LP... Don't you think it's shined enough already?" she asked in all seriousness.

Mr. Cerebrus Wrote:
Oh um, that is ok. Every one is bound to have spats with others.
-Trea followed Willow, her bare feet pattering softly on the floor. She concentrated a bit and the sounds she made seemed to disapear completely.-

LP Wrote:
Looking at the sword and then to tc she muttered, "Rather me cut off someones head would you?" She gave another faint smile to show she was kidding and placed the sword back into it's place. She nodded softly looking at the man as she walked towards the couch tc was resting on. "Yes well... ohh and excuse me for being so rude, I'm LP and that's TC and willow's the tiger if you haven't guessed. I suppose you brought Trea today seeing as yume isn't around
Willow sighed shaking her head looking at Trea. "Why's it all got to be her way? I learn well enough without her help."

Xoniac Wrote:
TC gazed at LP expectantly, but then turned to gaze around the shop yet again. Shifting her weight around a bit, she set the wolf backpack on the arm of the couch, linking her arm through it's straps, and then continued to pet the small clouded leopard. "..Whats'a'matter with Willow, anyways?" she questioned.

Mr. Cerebrus Wrote:
Oh well, nice to meet you all. Yes Yume asked me to bring her up here, she had other things to do. Rather interesting place.
-Trea looked around for some sort of answer- Hoenstly, I dotn know much of what you are talking about.

LP Wrote:
LP leaned on the back of the couch almost as if she was going to jump over and sit on the back of it. But she didn't atleast not right now. "What's wrong with her?" She repetted looking at TC, "She keeps asking those da....." she catchs herself trying not to cuss 'cause of TC and now willow this habit was getting harder to break. "... I mean those stuipd ghosts for help in her reading and not learning properly like everyone else... It's really starting to bother me. Everything she does is helped along by the polertragist she calls her friends...."
Willow offered a boost up to trea to get her onto the next shelf of toys before she spoke. "LP thinks I'm getting to much help from my ghost friends.... she's getting mad at me because they're teaching me. Now she's told me I can't talk to them all together much less read any books watch TV or anything of the sort it's like I'm grounded." Her ears twitched as they stayed laid 'pon her skull a sulking look held on her face. "She wants everything done her way. And it's not the way I want to learn...."

Xoniac Wrote:
TC nodded, gazing at Willow, and then back to LP. "What's so wrong about letting her learn from the ghosties?" She asked, picking up Khadira and rubbing noses with the plush out of randomy habit.

Mr. Cerebrus Wrote:
He politely kept his mouth shut while just listening, though why was learning from ghosts sucha problem?
-Trea climbed up and looked around- Oh, I don't see what would be wrong about learning from ghosts. They were people to.

LP Wrote:
Sighing LP shakes her head. "I should just give up..... I can't win everyone that knows there's ghosts are the same. 'What's so wrong with her learning that way' 'Well i'd rather be taught by a ghost' 'If schools had ghosts as teachers it'd be more interesting leave her be if that's how she wants to learn.'" She stopped leaning on the couch to walk over and look out the window.
Willow nodded. "That's what everyone else says but LP doesn't want me to learn from the ghosts...." Her ears flickered. "I guess she just doesn't want me to be happy or something....." Watching LP before she jumped up and grabed hold of the shelf pulling herself up so she was beside trea.

Mr. Cerebrus Wrote:
Well, sorry to interrupt but, what is so wrong with ghosts? I havent met one nor had one try to teach me. Are they not good to learn by?
-Trea dangled her legs over the edge and watched the grown ups.- Well maybe she is ascared that one will try to hurt you. Like the one in the mirrors, that tried to hurt Yume.

Xoniac Wrote:
TC nodded softly. "I don't know. I mean.. can't she do both, go to school AND learn from ghosts?" She paused, gazing down at Khadira. "..I mean, maybe then she'll be SUPER smart!" She threw her arms up enthusiastically, almost dropping Khadira, but rather scoping her up as she started to fall and placing her on her head.

LP Wrote:
Looking at both. "No one gets it..... everyone else 'round here geats to teach their velvet stuff. Mine... well mine ends up learning from ghosts...." She rubbed her head this thing was starting to give her head ache.
Willow shurged at Trea, "Who knows what goes on in humans minds... all my friends wouldn't hurt me thou."

Mr. Cerebrus Wrote:
Have you told exactly that to her? Maybe she doesnt understand you want to be a part of it. Then again if you could balance the learning of them and you, like a few hours with you a few hours with ghosts.
I don't know. I don't think LP would just not want you to have any fun at all. I wish I could meet some of them.

RP- Carl, Khadira, TC: 4-11-2007

It had been a while. A long, long while really. Longer than TC could ever have imagined. The shop itself seemed... so distant. A strange land she had never explored. In a way, she felt really bad about not bringing Khadira around... but she had needed her privacy.
Ah, so TC had turned into quite the recluse. More paranoid now than she had ever been. Surely, such restraints such as rarely leaving the cave would eventually have taken some dire toll on the mind of both the young wolf-girl and her even younger leopard friends? More specifically, the small clouded leopard born of this very shop. Poor young Khadira. But here they were now, staring at the entrance of the shop. Or rather, TC was staring at the entrance of the Velveteen store. She wasn't exactly sure what to expect... if LP wasn't there, she would most surely run out in a frenzied panic. Hesitantly, she paced back and forth, taking a step towards, then back. Another step towards, then back. Never leaving the same spot, but trying to go one way or the other nonetheless.
Mnm, but Khadira wasn't about to make this any easier. While TC had been forced to put a harnass on the young leopard, and a leash as well, to protect the youth from whatever it was she feared so very much (she promised to care for the former plush, afterall), Khad was not so thrilled about the whole thing. Her days of bouncing and running and climbing and running and bouncing were limited. Instead, she had paced at a leisurely stroll behind TC, ears pinned back and such a glum expression of absolute sadness pasted to her face. The walks weren't even worth it any more when kept on a restraint. But something hit the poor young creature when she saw the shop from the corner of her eyes. Both pupils widened and she darted off in front of TC, who was dragged off behind her a few steps before loosing her grip on the lead and falling face-flat in the dirt. With a groan, she watched her friend race into the shop, leash flailing about behind her, and finally disappear behind the door.
She would have to follow. With a groan of disbelief, she rose and wiped herself down, entering the shop as well as looking around. LP was no where in sight.
...This would be interesting. Interesting, indeed.

The bird was not so confined to the spce of any owner. Granted, he had a mother, but he was fortunate in the fact that the woman respected him enough to allow some well deserved privacy in his retreat from home and responsibility, allowing him his way of leisure as he stealthily (as one got whime humming) stalking around the various plush toys that lined the shelves.
His attention to his sneaking was broken by the sound of the door opening though, his body held still and alert amongst the shadowed corridor of the first shelf. Betwixt his unliving company, his sigh fell upon jus twhom had entered his shop - and much to his disbelief, it was some one he didn't know! Him, King of all Velvets!
That simply would not do. He retreated into a space between the toys for a moment and prepped himself, knowing his splendid attire didn't need very much straightening for him to look absolutely dashing, but still he primped, just in case, before striding out from between the toys and clearing his throat to gain the attention of the animal.

Khadira entered the shop at an absolutely amazing speed, the door barely closing before she found herself having to skid to a stop before running into said eagle. With an expression on her face that was somewhere between glee and shock, she somehow managed to stop within a mere inch of the child's face, offering an adorable- though toothy- little grin.
TC was not quite so excited as she entered the shop, an anger brought on by fear alone welling up within her as she closed the door- as quietly and carefully as she could as to not draw atention to herself. "Khadira! Are you mad!"she whisper-yelled, flailing her arms out to the side widely with an expression of her own somewhere between... well, paranoid and angry. "You don't just go darting into places, now matter how well you think you know them! You could get...." She paused, staring down at Carl. "You aren't..." Confusion sparkled in her eyes. "KHADIRA, WHEREVER YOU ARE YOU BETTER GET OUT HERE RIGHT NOW!"
Hahaha. Tricky little Khadira had buried herself on the lowest shelf, hidden between two random plush toys. Strangely enough, the glowstick around her leg died instantly, and she had to curl up tightly- tail covering her face- as to prevent herself from laughing. Angry-TC was always a rather hilarious thing to watch, afterall.

The girl had paused and grinned, only to vannish as a rather strange person came into the shop, flailing and looking rather peeved. He could only assumed the woman was the girls guardian....that he would not be ratting her out to until she was good and ready to come out of the shelf on her own.
Ah, such ample opportunity to impress!!
He bowed low to the woman and came up with a charming smile playing upon his visage. Even in the raging storm of her fury, he stood calm and cool, adressing her quietly. "Hello there, what brings such a lovely lady as yourself into this place? Perhaps the guardian of that charming creature who just came in?"And was hiding. He wasn't to divulge her location just yet.

TC gazed down at Carl, tilting her head to the side. Kneeling down to better match his height, she offered a hideously fake smile. While TC could be quite the actress when she wanted to be, such rage and fear could not permit her to do anything of the sort. With a forced relaxation- though visibly still tense in the shoulders- she replied to the eagle in an.... almost... stutter-free voice. "You would be correct.. in your assumption." She stated simply. She always was one to use unconventional words in times of seriousness. "Name's TC, guardian of that... how did you say?... charming little leopard." the word 'charming' fell from her lips with a humorous sarcasm, though it was not something that was easily distinguished from the rest of her little speech. "It would be quite nice if you could clue me in a bit on my small companion's wherabouts, dear.... sir." She paused, lifting a finger to her chin. "I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch your name."
Khadira, by now, had lost her ability to sit still. She always was the hyper little thing. With a snicker to herself, she tried to ease her way out from between the stuffed toys. Laying low to the ground, she attempted to scoot her way away from the bottom shelf to another area in the room- wherever that area might be. TC was inclined to notice such movements, however, and offered a brief smile of knowing before turning her eyes away. Let her think she was clever... she was watching from the corner of both hazel-brown eyes.

That....was so creepy. Carl had to mentally catch himself from wavering as he made to widen the smile in hopes of not letting his discomfort on. The query was a welcome break to the discomforting recap. "My name is Carl, King of Velvets and servant only to such spirited ladies as Iris and yourself." The latter of which was nearly hessitant. Gods he hoped the mangas were right and she'd loosen up.
Still, there was comfort in the fact that it seemed that she'd found sight of the leapord on her own accord, rather than him needing explain just where she'd gone and vannished to. Still, the act was still in play, so he to made as though he didn't see the movement.

"King of the Velvets, eh?" she stated matter-of-factly. "What an honor it must be to have such a title bestowed upon one such as yourself..." She smiled jokingly, gazing quickly around him to catch Khadira as she climbed up on top of the chest... and lost her balance and fell backwards onto the floor with a thud. Here, TC herself almost lost it, covering her mouth with one white paw to keep herself from a hearty chuckle of her own. How that cat of hers managed to balance perfectly from the trees outside the cave without so much as falling once... and then loosing her balance over a simple chest.. well, it was amazing.
Khadira landed on her back with a thud, tail flying up and over and covering the majority of her face. With a low rumble in her throat, she brushed it aside and got up, peering around the corner to make sure TC had not noticed it. With a cheeky grin of her own, she sat behind the large box and flicked her tail. Suddenly, a soft green light appeared back where she had previously been on the bottom shelf. It caught TC's eye quickly, and she sighed to herself, winking at the small eagle. "That's enough of your games Khad." She called out, as she rose and made her way towards the light on the shelf. She was slightly more composed now, and much more capable of her natural acting abillities... which was obvious in even her expression as she made her way to the shelf, knowin gfull and well that Khadira was not there.

"An honor only if I have the knowledge my subjects love me, my dear TC." Every feather rose up in a proud manner of the matter, albeit he knew that it was all in fun. A soft thud caused him to turn his attentions away from the woman and more so towards the animal, a look of mild concern taking place of his flawless confidance. Was she alright? There hadn't been a squeal to suggest otherwise, but he felt it instinctually to look after the animals and plushes of the shop, even if they really didn't need his help at all.
The woman didn't move to the sounds locations either, and as she held the charade well up, he quietly snuck to the real location and peered at her from about the corner of it.

Khadira gazed up at Carl with a look in her eyes that pretty much reprimended him for looking at her. She didn't want to be found yet, and he was going to give her away! Yet, she was still an animal and thus- she could not speak. And any of her cute little leopard sounds would leave her helpless to being found. Rather, she just glared with such a frantic expression you would think she was afraid he was going to hurt her or something.
But at about that exact instant, she was lifted into the air by a paw gripping carefull at the scruff of her neck, and she made a soft noise that was simular to a human 'squee'. She searched franctically before finally spotting her guardian, who held her in such a posture for only a brief moment before setting her down on the floor nearby and smirking. "Hmn. Found you, dear." she teased, scratching the leopard on the chin for a brief moment before rising and turning around, a big stretch following as she gazed around the shop.
Khadira looked rather disappointed. Not only had she not been found, but TC was not angry anymore. Pity too. Watching TC flap around like a bird always put her in good spirits.

Oops...His mistake. The eagle sheepishly rubbed the back of his head and gave her a look of apology for his hasty approach.
Ah well, nothing he could do about it now. Rather, he moved to her again once she was set down and gently took her paw. "Khadira, was it? A pleasure to meet you." And a pleasure it was for him she couldn't speak yet, otherwise he was sure he would have already been batted asside for his rather long claws and sharp beak.
Those tended to get in the way of his relations with alot of Velvets...
