Aww, and he was a gentleman! Just the thought almost melted Giada on the spot, but at the same time she felt almost sad for him. He'd have to be lucky enough to find the perfect mare for himself right away or else have his heart broken. Though, she could always re-educate him... With a smile, she batted her eyelashes at him and smiled. "I wouldn't think to make fun of you," she answered coyly, "us mare are harmless, soft, and gentle." Her mouth twitching ever so slightly as she lightly played with him, her tossed her blue-tinted mane over her shoulder.
"I knew what you meant, though."

Sweet smiled in relief. "You're such a liar, you lynx," he chuckled as he laid down on his side. "And you know it." He smiled at her as he looked at her from his back. "You don't even look harmless. But it's good that you understood me. Too many mares would ahve freaked out on me."

Giada laughed and bent to nibble on a particularly green piece of grass. "So we're agreed, mares are liars." Winking at him, she flicked her tail and sent a small shower of dead grass in Sweet's direction. "Most mares are so useless," she commented with a touch of finality in her voice. "My father always told me that a mare has no business thinking she should be treated equal if she cannot be of use to the world." Tossing her mane, she giggled and struck a pose. "So I chose to be beautiful."

No one has the right to be treated as equal if they chose to be useless," Sweet countered. shaking off the grass. "And you can't just count yourself as useless. I don't associate with useless individuals. If you were useless, would you be sitting here, debating with me? I think you'd just nod like an airhead and say that I'm right at random intravals. If you ask me, your father is the useless one for thinking that only mares have to work for equality." He nibbled thoughtfully on a daisy before he went on to finish his thought. "My mother always taught me that everything has value. It just take a little longer for some value to show up." He smiled at Giada.

For more than a few seconds Giada was speechless. What was he prattling on about? Cocking her head at him, blinking several times, and starting then stopping to say something; the emerald mare finally realised that Sweetpea had taken what she'd said as the opposite of what she'd meant. Shaking her head at him as if to say 'how silly', she giggled again at him.
"For a second there I had no idea what you were talking about!" Standing up, she closed the distance between them and quickly nipped his ear. "When I said that I chose to be beautiful, I meant that I had chosen to be useful by bringing beauty and joy into the world with my presence." Standing back, she flipped her mane and huffed. "Besides, my Daddy would never think as you accused him of. He has been nothing but fair to both genders, and I believe you and he would get along very well so don't go throwing aspersions."

Sweet blinked a few times and then smiled. He put one foot forward and bowed deeply. "Begging your pardon miss, it was not my place. And I am sorry for any ofences my miscommunications have brought forth. You're choise was not only very wise, but very accuarte, on some fronts. I think you're not only breath taking, but you have managed to make me scratch my head on a few fronts. I think you're a very intelegent mare, if I may say so." He flipped his mane out of his face and smiled softly.
"I'd like to mee your father some day, then, if he's as great as you say he is. Of which I have no doubt to have raised a beautiful and intellegent mare as yourself." He bowed again.
