Eliza raised her left eyebrow slightly and looked up to face the girl who had just entered her room. "Um... hi." She placed her graceful hand in Reyna's and then took it back slowly. "You're a fresh- sophomore, right?" Eliza asked, catching herself from thinking it was still her sophomore year and everyone was a year younger.
"I am Eliza. I suppose my name is needed information since we will be sharing a dorm for the next eight months or so." Eliza put her various leaflets and things on the bedside table and stood up, brushed off a bit of dust on her denim miniskirt and straightened her pink top. "Time to unpack, I guess. We have orientation tonight and then classes start tomorrow." Eliza smirked a little. "I read all the stupid little notes and stuff in the welcome packet." She shrugged and opened her duffel bag. "Mind if I take the closet?"

Keegan sighed and looked over a package of papers handed to him by someone he did not know. Flashing a grin, he looked up at the man. "Thanks." Walking away, he payed no more attention to the man. Soon he was at the guy's dorm building and he walked in, looking around. The place hadn't changed much since the last time he had been there. Looking at the papers, Keegan fianlly found his room number. "Number 1." Walking into the room, he found two beds, a TV, a couple chairs, two dressers, and one bedside table next to each bed. Unpacking his stuff into the drawers, he changed into a yellow polo and some blue jeans. Sitting on the bed, he sighed and waited to see if his roommate would be coming soon. Joking to himself, he sighed. "Maybe I'll have the whole dorm to myself this year..." Getting up again, he looked through one of his several, still unpacked bags. Finding a small palm-pilot, he leaned up against the wall and began to organize his schedule for this year. He would be at work for at least an hour.

"Sure, why not?" Reyna smiled at Eliza again. Reyna walked back to her bed, and sat down on the edge of it. Reyna bent down to lift her heavy suitcase from the floor where she left it, and proceeded to untie her bag from the top of the suitcase. Reyna grumbled under her breath as she fumbled with the knot, "Man, who tied this?" After a minute or so of trying to undo the knot with her clumsy fingers, Reyna's brow furrowed with impatience. Reyna stood up, one foot on the floor, the other placed on the suitcase. She started pulling at the string with both of her hands, using her every strength, trying desparately to snap it in two.
"Oh... oh well, there... there is always a more... more direct approach," Reyna huffed and puffed after a few minutes, catching her breath, and let the suitcase fell back onto its side. Reyna took out a pair of scissors from her pocket, bent down, and cut the string. Her bag tumbled onto the floor with a thud, as soon as the string lost its restraint. Reyna fell backwards, lying spread-eagle on her bed, with her eyes closed, her muscles aching from the hard work.

Eliza pulled a few blouses out of her duffel bag, then a pink nightlight which she placed in the plug-in next to the bed stand. Eliza tuned around as Reyna pulled out her scissors. "You know, whenever someone asks me if I have scissors, I just give them a sarcastic "Yeah, I just carry them around in my pocket." Next time that happens, I'll refer them to you." She shook her head and slightly smiled, turning back to her bag and pulling out some shorts and pants. She took out some of the hangers in the closet and began hanging up her wardrobe. Once she was done, she took a good look around the room, studying it carefully. She noticed an armoire that she hadn't seen before and went to open it. "Hey, look! A TV. I was going to go nuts if there wasn't one in here. In my room last year, it was just taking up room on one of the nightstands." She flipped it on and found nothing to watch, so she switched it to the R&B music channel.

After laying on the bed with her eyes closed for a quarter of an hour or so, Reyna opened her eyes and turned her head slightly to the left to watch the TV. Nothing very interesting was on, it seemed. With a sigh, Reyna pulled herself up from the bed, and picked up her bag from the floor. She threw it onto her bedpost, and kicked the suitcase into the space under the bed, where it could stay during most of its time in this semester. Reyna crawled up onto her bed, and towards one of the bedposts, where her bag had hung. Reyna kneeled on the bed, and pulled the zip open, taking out a book. She plopped back down onto the soft mattress with a contented smile, and crawled to the head of the bed, where she sat, reading the book with her back leaning against the headboard.

Eliza sat back against the window, her eyes closed and her lips stretched in a smile listening to her favorite song that came on the TV and she began mouthing the words silently. When the song ended, she opened her eyes and the smile faded. "Such an amazing song, ya know?" She looked a Reyna for a response, but she was to engulfed in her book, so she turned back to the TV. As she was turning, she caught a glance of the clock. "Oh, crap, the orientation starts soon." She took a cell phone, a purse, and a hairbrush out of the duffel bag that seemed to magically hold numurous items and put the phone in her purse. She took the brush and ran it through her hair a couple times, and pulled her hair over her right shoulder. "You coming?" She asked as she grabbed her key from the pile of papers still lying on her bed, placing it in her pocket. "I need to get a chain for this or I'll lose it by tomorrow. Oh, never mind." She caught herself as she pulled out the neck chain she used for last year's key and placed the key on it, then around her neck where it lie on her chest.

Reyna was absorbed in her book, when she caught Eliza's words, "... orientation starts soon." Reyna looked up in alarm, "Oh no, oh no. Wait a sec!" She slid down onto the floor, and ran to the bedpost at the end of her bed. Reyna pulled the bag's zip open, and stuffed the book back into the bag. She dug into her bag, and pulled out her wallet and mobile phone, stuffing them into her pockets. Reyna zipped the bag shut, and pulled on her sneakers, which were laying on the floor beside the bed. Reyna grabbed her envelope from the top of the bed, "I am ready, let's go!" Reyna shot a smile in Eliza's direction, before turning around, and rushed to the door, with her messy hair bun bouncing behind her head.

Eliza laughed and watched Reyna in her antics. "Relax, I wasn't going to leave without you. Anyway, don't rush, it's not like it's the most exciting thing ever." Eliza rolled her eyes and followed Rey out into the corridor, carefully closing and locking the door behind her and rushing to the stairs to catch up with Reyna. They walked down together and walked across the campus to the Extra Curricular building to the gym where the whole school was beginning to gather. They walked in and were welcomed by many people talking about their summers to their old friends. "Hey, I spot my friend Kat, let's go sit with her. Unless you want to go sit with other friends." She rubbed the back of her neck that was a little cramped after leaning it against the headboard wrong.

When Reyna entered the gym, she spotted a few of her friends sitting together, chatting excitedly presumably about their summer. Hearing Eliza's offer, Reyna replied with a smile, "Thanks, but I would like to go over there to sit with my friends. See you later then." Reyna hurried up the steps towards her friends. Her friends saw her coming from afar, and stood up, waving their arms, trying to get her attention. Reyna waved back with a beam all over her face, while running up the steps. When she reached their seats and sat down, Reyna immediately joined in their epic discussions of the summer holidays.

Walking into the counseling office, Kat smiled sweetly as she asked the man there for her packet. When he gave it to her, she turned around and looked inside it. She sighed and walked out, headed for the girls dorm.
Kat hugged her small doggy bag as she walked into the lobby of the girls dorm. When she opened the door her eyes brightened as she saw the familier face of Stephanie. "Hey!!" She yelled as she gave Stephanie a big bear hug, almost dropping mouse. Stephanie laughed. "What dorm do you have?" Kat let go of her and looked in her packet. "Room two, I better get up there, see you later!" She waved and ran up the stairs. "You all right pal?" Kat whispered to her small Chiuaua, mouse. he growled. Kat giggled slightly and put his bag down, and all of her other bags, to open the door of her dorm. She set her stuff down, let mouse to wander for awile, and headed for the gym for orientation.

Eliza waved a hand in the direction of Reyna and turned in the direction of Kat and went to sit by her. "Katie!" She yelled once she was close enough and she saw a few people looke down at her, which made her smile a little. She wouldn't really admit it to anyone directly, but attention made her really happy. If people noticed her, it just sort of fullfilled her, in a way. She made her way up to the very top row where Kat had chosen to sit, smiling at all the various people greeting her as she went up. "Hey! What's up with you not calling my this summer?" She asked, sitting next to her.

Connor parked his old Ford truck in the parking lot with a soft sigh. Stepping out of the car, he locked it and stood still as stone in order to asess the schoolgrounds. After a minute or so, he made his way to the counselor's office whilst wearing a lopsided half-smile.
After recieving his packet, he walked with a distinct laze to his assigned dorm. A large backpack filled seemingly ready to tear open from the excess of items inside of it was strapped over his back as he held an acoustic guitar by the neck in his right hand. The short hair atop his head allowed a slight breeze to caress his scalp, bringing a pleased smile upon his lips. Yes, this is very nice. He sighed happily but quietly, quite used to the feeling of his breath mingling with the hair on his chin. Putting the aesthetic and simple pleasures of the moment aside, he dropped his things off at his dorm and jogged his way to the gym for orientation. Entering the gym, he cocked his head to the right in curiousity as he scanned the crowd.

Kat smiled as big as she possibly could when she found who had called her name. "Eliza!!" She yelled as she ran over to her, also getting looks from people. "Yea, Im soooo sorry, I didn't call hardly any people this summer, what with trying to help watch my sister, and my dad and everything. They just found some new evidence in his case, but they wont tell me anything. I've found more stuff in the news than from the people who are supposed to be helping us." Kat took a big breath and laughed. "Sorry, about that, rambling, like I said, I haven't talked to like anyone this summer, and...I'm doing it again" She sighed again and looked around the gym. "How has your summer been?"

Eliza's eyes widened at Kat's descriptions. "Well, my summer was pretty uneventful. I broke up with Carl." Carl was Eliza's old boyfriend. They had only gone out for a few weeks during school, and after about a few days into summer, they discovered that school was the only real reason for dating in the first place, so they separated. "Meh, we didn't really get close anyway, so it's all good." Eliza bit her lip because Carl walked behind her to a seat a few rows away, and she had been talking a bit loud. "I hope I didn't make him feel bad." She said, a little half-heartedly. Eliza then began scanning the gym for other people that she recognized. She spotted Conner glancing around the room.
"Hey, remember Conner, Kat?" She caught his eye. "I wonder why... I haven't talked to him in awhile." She spoke slowly, her eyes still not looking away from him. "I'll, um, be right back." She started down the bleachers, keeping Conner in her sight and walked up to him.
"Hey, what's up? Remember me?" She scratched the back of her head.
