Foul`

Bristling at his swifter than expected reactions, her ire only increases, her hands ball into fists, and she hisses under her breath as her eyes narrow to slits.

As he stops again too-suddenly, her rage turns more inward at her own stupidity... perhaps lost too long in her own meanderings and unquiet thoughts. Jutting her chin at him in an almost-violent manner, she growls her own reply...

"I was not following you, you are in my way. Move aside. And who are you to know my business, important or not, nothing to you, it is. NOTHING! How dare you try to impose some small fear into me? Fear! I have no use for it, and you make a mistake in rousing me.

Move. Aside."

He turned around to face her; his one eye blistering red. He simply stared at her with silence that would make any mortal feel awkward. A moment later he moved ove foot behind the other and steped away from her path, allowing her to pass. Still he did not speak.

Foul`

Opening her hands, she slams her palms loudly against her legs and sucks air between her teeth with another hiss. Through narrowly slitted eyes she studies him a few seconds in dark rage, looking him up and down with closer attention... barely able to contain an outburst that would send him reeling.

Not willing to spend the time or energy, she snorts, raising her arm to stab a finger in the direction of his chest.

"Your eye is red, do you have a disease? I hope it isn't catching, highwayman."

She feels no awkwardness, she has no room in her concentrations to be so afffected by looks or silence, they serve only to annoy her further.

Smirking as he moves she almost laughs, the sound drizzling from her throat like acid, as she takes back to the path and her goal, leaving him, and the memory of him, behind.

As she passes him, a low grumble escapes his lips, "The only affliction I see in your future is an acute case of rigor mortise..." he turns to face away from her, starting on a new path of his own, "...for surely the stress of living is too much for you to handle..." and with that he began walking away, his arms tucked in his sleeves and his hat tilted over his eyes.

Looking back at him briefly as she barely catches his empty words, she bites her lip to keep from his distractions, forcing herself to look forward and move ahead, again, still...

Muttering some dark bitterness, she kicks at the dirt and pepples that dare be in the path and in her way - nothing as they really are, to most.

Staring into the gloom ahead, the light of the lodge flickers into her awareness and she grumbles again, forced to go into a public anything. An arm moves across her empty belly and she cringes. Dratted inconvenient, the need to eat and drink.

Grey eyes watched a bright light flit through the lifting mist. She knew it was a willow-the-wisp. But she was going to follow it and see where it led. As she trotted after it on bare feet, she murmered under her breath. "I must get a new dress... Not that I like them, but they work well enough. Just no more white..." she said, arms crossed across her chest.

Some short distance away, she turned her head towards the door for a moment before returning to her stitching. Waiting once again.
