Xinavane chuckled a little, beaming at the young lion. If she ever had children, she certainly hoped they were like him... he had such good morals and strong ideas. He deserved to see his dreams realized... and if he couldn't do it yet, then she would certainly try to make the world a better place for him.
"You're quite the brave one..." She told him, her own eyes quite pleased and no less determined, "But you need to grow up big and strong before you can go after big evil prides... because you can't trust them, and there are lots of them. So you have to be careful, and you have to be sneaky... that way, you can find a way to make them change."
He was going to be quite the man when he grew up, she could tell that much. She was certain he would make his parents proud, and go down fighting... just like she intended to. Though she hoped he wasn't on a suicide mission like she was... that wouldn't exactly be good.
"You have to mind your parents too," She told him, "Because if you make them worry about you, then you aren't much better than an evil pride who would take you away. So do what they tell you, alright? Then, when you're bigger, you can take everything they've taught you, and make the world a much better place. I know you can... you're very brave, and very strong. I met you'll be the toughest white knight in all the land when you're older."

The young hybrid smiled, embarrassed, and looked at the ground sheepishly at her compliment. He didn't think himself brave yet, but knew it was something he wanted to be. He had never found a real reason to be brave yet: because, in his mind, bravery came from over coming fear.
Nothing had truly scared him. He lived a happy, simple little life that was so far unmarred by sad or cruel events. He would not be brave, then, until he really needed to. And he would finally know what it was, when that happened.
"There are lots of them? I just thought there was the one, the one that hurt your family," he frowned, not liking the idea of lots of large, evil prides hiding in wait to harm innocent families, "Sneaky? What kind of sneaky? Like how my siblings are sneaky when they want more of the kill then they're supposed to have? Or like how we have to be quiet at night when we're walking past a sleeping lion?"
He frowned. He was good cub, he thought, as far as his parents went. He vowed to take care of them, and did his best to make sure they were never too cross with him. Though, with him being out so late today he realized they were probably going to be upset. He did not want to be as bad as an evil pride, after all, and he looked miserable at the idea that he might be.
"I will be," he said, "and you will be! I saw you hunt, and you're so nice. I don't know how anyone could try to hurt you, so you'll be able to do a lot of good things, right? Do you practice? I try to, when my family is arguing or if I find some of my friends doing bad things. I'll practice as much as I can, because even solving little problems help people, right?"

Xinavane grinned at him, looking very... motherly, for a moment. A new sort of sensation for her, "You're a very good cub, Risasi, and never forget that. You're the best I've ever met, and when the world needs you, I'm sure you'll be there for it."
She got up and stretched, "Come on... I'll take you home. And since you've been so good, I'll show you some sneaky ways of being a good hunter. You can show off to your brothers and sisters." She told him, walking back in the direction she had seen him coming from.
Xinavane sighed a little, "I hope there aren't... many evil prides. But there are a few... and it's up to creatures like you and I to stop them from existing... because we're the only ones strong enough to do it. And sometimes... yes, you have to be sneaky, in both the ways you just told me... like when I sprung up and suprised our lunch. Because there aren't always as many good creatures as there are bad... and when you don't have as many friends as bad lions do, you have to think of other ways to stand up against them." Even if you had to do it alone.
"I believe in you..." She promised him. She had too... because with the plans she had, she wouldn't likely live that long. Not on her own. So she had to know that there were still those who would keep fighting the evil and unjust.
Without those like her and Risasi... what chance did innocent creatures have? She didn't want to think about that.

Risasi beamed at her comment, seeing her eyes that she really did think he was a good cub. Taking that to heart, he bounded after her, trotting close beside her as they moved off toward his home. Looking back, he hoped they had left enough food for some hungry creature to find, so it didn't go to waste and so someone who needed it would find some sustenance.
He watched her as they walked, listening attentively but unable to keep his mind from wandering. She looked sad. As much as he wanted to learn about evil prides and how to overcome them, he did not like how sorrowful she looked while speaking. Her tone sometimes sent a shudder down his spine, and he was beginning to get the feeling that some of the ways to stand up to bad guys were not that great.
"When you find the evil pride again," he started carefully, moving so that he was trotting just in front of her, impossible to miss as he looked back, "what do you plan on doing?" Not a stupid cub by any means, he was dubious of her cause. If his hunch was right, he doubted he would go on agreeing with her, simply because he did not want anything bad to happen to his new friend.
They both needed to get older, they both needed to stop evil and they both needed to go on living, to stop more and more. There was no room for recklessness or suicide missions, as far as he was concerned.
Not that he specifically knew what suicide was.
(We could probably end this one soon. I think having them go on a caper of some sort might be fun, if you wanted them to meet again later or even just get another one started and... pretend it's later. -shifty eyes- Or maybe once he's grown a bit? I dunno. ^^; They do need to hang out some more, though. XD)

"Me...?" Xinavane asked, not looking at him now... for she didn't want to have to look into the cub's eyes when she spoke this time, "I'm going to find a way to stop them. No matter what. And maybe I can't do it alone... but I'll do my best."
She looked over at him, smiling, "And maybe my best won't be enough, but at least I'll know I tried to stop them. That's all I can do, right?"
That was... if she ever found the pride, which seemed less and less likely every day. But she still had to try... No matter what. She had known where the source of her bravery was long ago. And now that she had it... no matter how incredibly stupid it made her, she knew she had to make an attempt.
She had to be one of the few who would try to stop it... because even if she couldn't alone, then maybe she would be able to inspire others to do it. Who knew?
(Yeah, unless you have something you wanna add, I'm good for this one ^_^ Xinavane has gone off and joined the demon-hunting pride right now, but if he goes wandering a bit himself and comes across her, I'd totally be up for it! They mesh well together... he could probably come across her, I'm pretty sure some of his siblings are going to join the same pride she is)

Risasi nodded, not really understanding but feeling as though he should. He would not press the matter, walking silently with her until they cam within his home lands. Perking up, he had not realized they had walked so far in their conversation and in the silence that had settled over them.
Looking up at her, he smiled warmly and moved to rub her leg affectionately.
"Thank you for bringing me home, and for hunting with me! And for teaching me. I think a lot of what you said makes sense, and I'm going to keep it all in mind when I'm growing up. I'm not gonna forget you, and you better not go away before I can find you again and we can do some good together!"
He spoke seriously, ordering her rather than voicing a hope. Nodding at her, he bounced away a small distance before turning and waving a paw at her.
"Be safe! Thank you!"
(Heh, I'm good. ^^ They'll have to meet up when he's older, if that's possible. I'ma keep track of all the 'future' RPs I've got in planning, like this one and maybe one with Doto and Giza again. XD Unless you're not interested, which I completely understand.
I'll mark this as done! Shoot me a PM if you want to talk about anything else. ^^)
