"My mom says gods are lions who have powers. Not totally sure what that means though. I've never seen one." She said with a smile. "Apart from what happened. Though, I can't be sure if that's a god or even my father." She said casually. She hoped it was her father.
"I don't think any of them are dogs. Or at least I never asked. My mom said they were all lions. " She told the other again. She wondered if it made her a god that her dad was a god, and gods all had this strange thing she did? She wanted to ask someone about it, but who could tell her? Who'd be able to teach her anything about it?
She was continuing to dig. Not realizing her friend had stopped, Though she was trying to concentrate on her small hole with in the hole the other had made. She was proud of her little digging bit.

"That's not fair. If they're all lions, I mean. Why can't they be dogs? We're just as good! But then, I don't know what Gods are, or why those lions are different from other lions, so I guess I can't really say dogs would be better. But you've never seen your father, right? So if it was him, you wouldn't even know because you haven't seen him."
She frowned thoughtfully, all of this very complicated for the puppy. She remained sitting, too distracted by this thoroughly interesting concept to want to dig any more. It was a silly idea, anyway, and she was losing interest. They were trapped in a hole, which did not allow for running or playing.
"I haven't seen my parents either. Maybe they're gods and there are dog ones!" She barked a laugh, eager to readily believe this new idea, "Hey do you know how to fish? I know you don't like water, but my Pillow taught me how and I want to see if I can do it! It's really fun, you want to? Huh? Huh? Huh? Unless you have somewhere you have to go to, because I don't want your family to worry."
She had grown tired of this endeavor, and needed some air to give herself new energy.

"I donno. Maybe there are god dogs?" She was sure their couldn't just be lion ones. Whatever they are. "I'm not sure, but I hope it is. I mean, my mom never told me what he looked like." She said. She truly hoped it was, but she'd have to find someone who knew. Or at least someone who could tell her what her visions meant, or even stop them. They made her sad sometimes.
"Fish?" She'd seen them in the water, but never tried. It was so wet, and cold, and it'd suck her up. "I'll watch as you fish. I think it wants to eat me." She said with a rather distasteful look. She didn't want to learn to swim, cause what was the point if it was to eat her anyways.

"Okay, I'll fish you something! I'll show you how just like my Pillow showed me how! It'll be fun, and then you can be in my family, if you want! We could be sisters! Or you could be my daughter, since I'm teaching you things, but people don't like it when I ask them that. But sisters might be fun! I have an older sister I haven't met yet. Apollo says she's pink like me!"
Laika had a strange extended family. With no blood relatives, she had taken to finding any one who she could be friends with and adopting them. She loved them all immensely, and was never hesitant to grow her family even more. There was no chance of her running out of love, after all, since she only gave them what they made her feel. And that was always a whole lot.
"Come on, the water isn't far!" She barked, darting from the cave in a blur of pink. The small water hole was just beyond a tree, easily in sight of the hole they had dug, "I'll show you how to fish!"

"I have two brothers, but no sisters." She said with a smile. "I don't know what it's like to have a sister." She added. Though she'd never try to fish, at least not now. "You can fish, I'll just watch." She said again. "well I have a big sister, but she's an adult.... so it doesn't count does it?" She turned her head trying to think. She didn't think it counted at least.
All Yi's family was blood related. Except Ganix, but he was his sister's mate. Or whatever. She didn't think she wanted to fall in love. She flicked her long thick tail. Yi loved everyone she met, but she hadn't met anyone who was mean yet. They always liked her. At least, so far. She smiled.
"Alright!" She said hopping after the other. Hopping was fun. It was fast, and fun. Made her feel like she was flying. Though, she knew she'd never be able to fly. She'd need wings like birds.

Laika barked happily, excited to go fishing. No matter what they had agreed on, she had it in her head that they were both going to be playing in the water. Bouncing around, not ever moving in a straight line, she span in a complete circle before stopping to look at Yi.
"Okay, then! We'll be sisters! Let's go fishing! I know the way, come on! Fishing will be fun!"
She then ran off toward the water hole, which was close enough for her path to be easily followed at any pace. Once she reached it she sat down, peering into the water intently, as she had seen her faux father, Mito, do when he had taught her the technique. Unfortunately, she was not the best study.
But she would not discover her limitations until giving it a good effort. Always eager to try anything, as many times as she needed to, she waited on the bank as patiently as the energetic dog could.

Was it possible to have a sister of a different species? She wasn't sure nor was she about to ask about it. She smiled as she followed the other as fastly as she could to make sure she didn't lose Laika. Yi didn't want to touch the water, and wouldn't, not even if the god of water came and told her that it was safe. She wouldn't believe it. Water tricked and killed.
"What does fish taste like." She asked the other on their journey to discover the strange wet stuff. "Is it good? I've never had it" She'd been on land creatures for food when her mother or sister would get it. Other then that, she didn't really live by water that had fish in it.

"It's great! It's hard to bite into because they have these things on them. I forget what they're called, but it's okay because you can still get into them and they're good. I went fishing with Mito and he taught me that you can't make a lot of noise when you're fishing or you scare them away, but when I was eating one they didn't have any ears! So I don't know what that's about, really."
Bounding to the water's edge, she tiptoed a bit theatrically into the shallows and stood in a rigged, attentive position. Her nose was almost in the water, her sea green eyes furiously searching the muddy water for any sign of movement. Luckily she was not forced to be patient for long, and she swatted at a fish, just as she had seen her adopted father do. Since the water was much more shallow here, and the fish had been close to the surface, she managed to send it flying onto the ground.
Barking enthusiastically, she ran over to it, crouched, growled, barked, ran around it, and then looked back at Yi.
"Look I caught one! I did I caught one! I want to show Mito but then you wouldn't be able to eat it! If you leave the bones I can show him those! Look, it's jumping! You're supposed to wait until it stops moving. Look! Look! Look at it jump! Hey, you're jumping little fish!"
She continued to bark and run around, more than excited by her triumph.

Strange. Creatures with no ears? She didn't have an answer for the other on how it could hear. She flicked her tail as she continued to follow the other. She wasn't sure if they'd taste good, they were from the water. What possibly could taste good about anything in the water? She smiled though, she'd let the other fish. Taste it, and then let the other eat it. If they caught anything.
Yi stopped rather far from the water. No reason to get too close. She didn't want to even get splashed. Yi watched as the fish flopped around and the other. What was she doing? Didn't the pup know that she had to step on it or it'd get back to the water. "Step on it... it might get away!" She told the dog.
Yi took a step closer, but then she remembered that she didn't want to go around it. It might drag her back into the water. Though something was telling that she had to claw it and kill it that way to eat it. "Stab it with your claws." Of course, she didn't know if dogs could actually do that though.

"I don't have any claws for stabbing!" Laika barked back, giddy and bouncing. She had seen how the fish Mito had caught for her had flopped, so she kept an eye on this one. Last time one had gotten away from them because she had thought it needed to be in the water, but that had been a mistake. Barks never ending, she ran over to Yi, and then back to the slowly dying fish.
"Come on over here! Are you scared of it? It won't hurt you! Oh yeah! You don't like the water! But the water won't hurt you either! Here, I'll bring it to you so you don't have to come too close. I fall in the water all the time and it hasn't hurt me yet, but if you don't like it then I'll make sure you don't get wet!"
Picking up the fish by the tail, she trotted closer to her new friend, placing it down carefully. Panting, tail swishing, she sat down expectantly.
"You can eat it if you want to! I should get back to my den though because it's going to get late and I want to see if my daddy will come to visit me!"

Yi watched the other as if she was crazy for saying water wouldn't hurt her. Her eyes were huge and her hair stood on edge, just thinking about her newly found friend being in such dangerous stuff. She currled her tail around her feet and watched as the other brought over the fish. She didn't move at first, watching the fish as it was now not moving so often.
When she thought it was safe, she uncoiled her tail and stood up to poke at it. "Eat... it?" She asked again. Maybe it wasn't too bad at all. She put her paw on it completely. It flopped as a reaction to her touch, making Yi jump and remove her paw for a moment, but her instincts told her to put it back down. In doing so, she had the urge to bite it... And bite into it and take a chunk from it. It wasn't too hard to do... at first it didn't taste good, the slimy-ness, but past that, it tasted better then what her mother would feed her.
She looked to the other with a smile, which soon went to a frown as she said she had to go. "Well, I suppose I have to get moving as well." She told the other. Keo would be angry if she found out she was here. "I gotta find my older sister before she finds me... I'll be introuble if she finds me first."

"In trouble?" Laika, not having a family and never learning from her past mistakes, was not too familiar with the idea of being in trouble. Not in the sense that someone would tell her off for doing or not doing something, anyway. The only trouble she knew was the kind she got herself into. And that was usually pretty fun.
"I don't want you to be in trouble!" She said, her tone reflecting that this was a decision, rather than a sentiment, "you should go! But I'll come find you again and we can play and go fishing again and do things that won't get you in trouble! I hope you liked the fish though. I like fish a lot. I'm going to take the bones back to Mito if you don't want them, because I want him to see I caught one!"
Wagging her tail, she moved to the fish and picked it up, pulling at its flesh with her paws so that she was mostly in possession of the bones and clinging remains. Bouncing, barking through clenched teeth, she ran off and stopped, dropping the fish to shout.
"Bye for now, sister!"

Yi nodded, and was more then happy to get away from this place. Water was scary, and even more scary when things were in it and you would never know about it. She quickly turned and hopped away. Then stopped, waved, and continued to go. She had to find her sister, at least for now anyways.
She didn't know if she'd ever see the wild dog again, but it'd be nice. Maybe another time when water wasn't involved. She flicked her tail, and was out of view of the other creature. For another day, and another adventure, they'd meet someday.
