Taradhia watched as Terema boldly went ahead and peeked through the grass where the sound had come from. When she revealed that it was safe, the white cub tilted his head and slowly went to join her. "What's a Totoro?" He said, before peeking through the grass to take a look for himself. He had never seen a waterbuck before, and it looked rather strange to him. When he noticed the horns on its head, he let out a small gasp. "Wow!"

Terema giggled happily looking up at the large deer like creature "Totoro is his name silly!" She giggles hopping through the grass and sitting virtually upon the quiet waterbucks hooves. "He's my friend!" She beams looking up at Totoro.
"I think he has magics cause he appears out of no where sometimes but he's perfectly safe! Come and say hello Taradhia! I promise he won't hurt you, will you totoro?"
The quiet waterbuck only smiled and shook his large head moving to kneel so he wans't to large and high above the cubs.

Taradhia tilted his head as he continued to take the creature in. It looked nothing like anything else he had ever seen. "He's really cool!" He said finally as he sat down beside Terema and looked up. Up close he was even bigger, but the white cub wasn't at all scared. Any friend of Terema's was surely a friend of his.
"Do you think he would like to be friends with me too?"

Terema looks up at the waterbuck leaning against the large beast, who was clearly unafraid of them. "You'll be taradhias friend too right totoro?" she purrs looking at the young male beside her. "I know he will, totoro really likes lions." She licks her lips and giggles happily.
The waterbuk simply smiles serenely looking down at the other lion cub and giving a gentle, airy nod.
"See!" Terema beams broadly and pats at Taradhia. "He likes you too."

"Great!" Taradhia jumped up in celebration. Now that he was friends with the waterbuck, he wanted to see what it felt like. Smiling, he nuzzled into Totoro's chest, which was very furry indeed. "He feels soft." The cub said with a grin, before taking a couple of steps back. "I can't wait to tell Eeva and my brothers and my parents about Totoro!"
Still smiling, he turned to Terema. "I'm going to go tell them right now. We'll meet up again soon though OK? If Totoro has other friends like him then I want to see them!" With that, the cub bounded off back in the direction of home, eager to tell his family about his latest discovery.
