"You do?" Chewing on his lower lip and glancing at Ms. Morasec again. She wouldn't be very happy if he broke her last piece of chalk but she wouldn't know it was him either, right? Sometimes he really wished Lici had gotten the ability to break things because he hated doing it. "Well...okay but just this once." He closed his eyes and visualized the chalk breaking, feeling that familiar 'granting a wish' feeling that he associated with his powers.
SLAM! One of the other student's desks toppled and he jumped. CRACK! Thobias' eyes widened and he was afraid to turn around. When he did, he sunk really low in his chair. The chalk had broken and was lying in two perfect halves on the floor...but the chalkboard had also split jaggedly in half, one end swinging while papers flew off and settled and the other was just hanging there. "Uh oh..." He was in trouble now.

And she had a partner on her side of the power sharing fence. Good, which meant that Toby was going to do things. He had the fun power, that was for sure...but at the same time she liked being able to fix things and make people happy. Eagerly she watched the chalk, but soon gave a little yelp at the loud noises from the board breaking as well as the chalk and she ahd latched to her brother. "Uh oh..." She echoed it and then tried to think...did they own up to it, pretend they didn't do it, or did she offer up what she could do as well? Mama wouldn't be happy if there was a phone call made, especially if it woke daddy up.

While Addy was prepared for the chalk to break and had been watching it closely, she wasn't ready for the explosion of sound accompanied by a much bigger problem. She jumped right out of her chair. But that wasn't the end of the noise for the poor girl either. A wave of chatter entered her mind as every other student in the class wondered what was going on, and their little group wondered how much trouble they were going to get in. Addy's head was spinning.
Lilly's heart nearly lept out of her chest as she realized that the power display had gone horribly wrong. Maybe Felicity could fix it without anyone noticing it was her? That was a long shot, the teacher was instructing the students to file out of the classroom by this point. There wasn't much she could do, except make another distraction?
Maybe she wasn't thinking straight, and maybe it was panic, but it was the only thing she knew how to do, and since poor Addy was completely out of the picture (something she was used to in a crowd), it was up to Lilly to act. She tried to attune to every available seed in the room and cause it to grow. There were too many to really control how they would grow, but she hoped the distraction might be enough for Felicity to use her own ability. The seeds within a few feet of her began to sprout from their cups, about seven of them, including the three from their table (Toby's was ruined), creating even more ruckus in the room.
Addy was nearly unconscious from all the chatter in her mind. She desperately tried to block it out, but it was already too late, she covered her ears to shut out the noise, but it was a futile effort.

"She can do it!" It was the one thing that caught his attention almost immediately. He shot a glance at Ms. Morasec and covered his mouth, waiting to hear her instruct him to use inside voices. But he watched those seeds growing and blinked a few times. Maybe Mama knew why? Shutting his book and standing up, he tugged his sister's sleeve to get her attention. "We're s'posed to leave." But Addy didn't look so good and he raised his hand. "Ms. Morasec! We need a doctor!" Whoops, there went that inside voice again.

Doctor? Both Lilly and the teacher were led by Tobias to notice Addy's condition. Lilly instantly stopped what she was doing, realizing that it was probably not really the best course of action to start with. She kicked herself a little for her ridiculous reaction as she went to her sister.
Ms. Morasec rushed to Addy's side and checked her pulse on her wrist. The teachers in this school were required to know basic first aid and the like, but Ms. Morasec happened to know a bit more. "I think she's having a panic attack."
It may has well have been a panic attack, and now with the worry over her, the thoughts around her were even louder. It wasn't helping.
"We have to get her out of here," Lilly urged the teacher. "Away from everybody."
Ms. Morasec was a little confused but she nodded and looked at the rest of the classroom. "Will you take her to the nurse?" She didn't say it to anyone in particular, but mostly to the rest of her small group. "I have to get the rest of the class outside."
It wasn't exactly what she meant, but the nurse's office was going to be better than where Addy was at the moment. And that might distract from the fact that they had caused a significant part of the mayhem. Lilly urgently nodded and waved at Tobias and Felicity to help her. "Try not to think too loudly," she whispered. She quieted her own mind, a technique she'd developed for her sister's sake while sitting outside in the garden.

Okay, this was getting a little freaking and she didn't think she liked it at all. She liked strange things, but this was too strange. Though she did see the opportunity to fix the board despite all the things happening. Thusly squinting her eyes at the baord she tried to 'wish' it fixed just like she did everything else that was broken and needed fixing. Like the microwave last week that mama hit too hard when it was being funny.
Of course she felt that familiar feel of indeed things happening but she didn't get a chance to see if it was all fixed as people were ushering everyone out and apparently Lilly wanted their help taking Addy down to the nurse. Nurses were good, she knew that much from going to work with mommy. "Thobias! I tried to fix it but I don't knowi if it did..." Blinking at the blondes, "What's wrong with her?"

Lilly didn't see any reason to keep it to herself, though Addy usually tried to keep the other half of her ability secret. "She's hearing too many voices in her head," Lilly explained. "It's part of her powers. She hears what people are thinking, but she can't really control what she hears."
Addy was beginning to come out of it as she moved away from the mess of people. She hated stressful situations, because it was when people thought loudest.
She started walking more by herself, but still was trying to get her head to clear, so she didn't say anything.
Lilly was glad her sister was already feeling better, but she wanted a good reason for them to stay away from that classroom. They'd really caused quite a mess. "I hope we don't get caught," she offered as though it were some kind of consolation as she continued to hold her sister's hand and walk toward the nurse's office.

"That's a pretty cool power." He depended on his sister to use his mostly and these two seemed to not be connected at all. Sometimes he wished he could hear what his parents were thinking... Glancing around the hall to make sure a teacher didn't pop up--it wouldn't be good to be caught without a hall pass--he shrugged. "If we do, they'll just call our parents." He held the door open for the nurses' office and then sat outside on the bench like he was told to with his sister.
Nurse Hurtee tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear and studied the children sternly. She'd already gotten a report of why they were here and was checking records. The one was telepathic which would explain why she looked as if she was in pain. The other appeared to be fine just like the other set of twins she'd ushered outside. Plopping a thermometer into Addy's mouth, she waited for the beeps and then checked it. "No fever. I can't give you any medication without your parents' permission." Busy scribbling something down on a slip of paper. "You can lie in here for a few minutes or you can go to the principal's office."

"Good thin you're in this school then, she won't have to worry soon!" After all, that's why mama said they had to change schools and what not. Apparently though they were just going to take up room in the nurses office and thus she plopped by her brother on the bench, kicking her feet lightly. "Do you think mama would be mad at us? I didn't mean to make you break the board Toby..." Of course she knew it was her fault, she told him to do it. Usually harmless things happened.

After the others left, Addy's head cleared pretty well. The only voice left aside from her own was the Nurse's. "I think I'll just lie down," she said, wanting to avoid a trip to the principle's office at all costs.
Lilly was equally concerned about seeing the principle. Tobias was right, if they were blamed for the outburst, they would call parents, and that was what she feared most. It wasn't that her mom and dad would be angry, but rather disappointed in them. Lilly hated that more than anger. But instead of voicing those sentiments, she remained silent, listening to the other twins talk and hanging her head low.
Another part of her brain listened for Addy's voice, waiting to see if she would tell her what the nurse said, but she heard nothing.

He reached out and took his sister's hand, giving her comfort in the only way he knew how. "It wasn't your fault, Lici. I got scared when the desk broke and I lost the wish. You know what happens when we lose the wish." He wasn't sure how mom and dad would react. Mom wouldn't be pleased that they'd been playing around but he hadn't broken the board on purpose. It had just...happened. They were probably going to be called into dad's study though...and that was kinda scary. "I dunno. We'll just tell her the truth. It was an accident." He stood up and glanced into the office to see the principal on the phone and sighed. "I think he's calling our parents..."
She made the girl comfortable on a cot in the corner then sat down at her desk to await the call that would summon Addy down to the office with her sister and the other set of twins. Meanwhile, she'd begin working on the mountain of paperwork she'd been avoiding.

"Accidents happen, they can't punish up for an accident too badly or then we wouldn't know what was right or wrong and wouldn't make mistakes." Or so she had heard daddy say about things. He was a head doctor after all he knew that kind of stuff. Yes she was the devious one of when she wanted to be, but she usually didn't mean it in the bad way. Leaning against her brother she gave a sigh. "I think I fixed it anyway."

The other two were right, an accident shouldn't be punished all that harshly, but that thought only made Lilly more nervous. She had used her power out of anxiousness, but that couldn't really be considered an accident, just poor judgement. But hopefully, it didn't cause any damage. She honestly couldn't remember how large she'd made the plants, but it couldn't have been that bad. She wanted to apologise too, for not stopping them from trying their own powers, but she worried that they might be angry if she did, like Addy always was when Lilly apologised for not keeping her out of trouble.
Instead of brining up her own worries, she decided it would be best to comfort the other two. "I don't think it'll be a problem, since there are so many unusual kids at this school. They've probably got lots of people ready to fix things after problems happen, right?" She didn't really sound very sure in herself, but she tried to sound optimistic.
Still no word from Addy.

The principal's assistant, a kindly older woman with glasses perched on the edge of her nose, shuffled out to the children and regarded them with the sort of eyes one might find on a grandmother about to hand out milk and cookies. "You children can go back to class now, just be careful what you do in the future, eh, dearies?" Giving each of them a short pat on the head and a lollipop from her pocket. "Tell Ms. Morasec all has been taken care of."
A report was officially filed in regards to the goings-on of Ms. Morasec's class and discreet phone calls were made to each of the parents but no disciplinary action was taken and the parents were advised not to blow it out of proportion with their children. The principal would much rather the parents make no mention of it at all unless the children themselves brought it up, but he couldn't actual say such a thing.

Well pats on the head and lollipops meant good things...or trips to the doctor and since this was kind of a little of both, sans needles for all, Felicity in her normal fashion perked right up and gave a smile to the others. "See! We're not in trouble! When your sister feels better we can go back and play!" After all, impromptu recess should not be wasted.
