((Enjoy! ^^)) Ah, touche. "I-I... just didn't get enough sleep the night before... that's all." She said barely maintaining her composure. "You however, have yet to explain yourself Sensei." She said bluntly before taking her ticket with a bow of thanks.

Tatsumi took his ticket as well, having a rare moment of being impressed by Regan's ability to get this for them. As much as he disliked the rich folk, she had no idea how much it meant to him to actually be able to enter these sections for free. Last time he had come he needed to give quite a hefty bribe. Though it came to good use since he had managed to find the information needed on his current 'target' at that time and was successful with what he had gathered. This though made things much easier. "We'll split up, you go with Nodoka to the east wing, Yue and I will take the west." He said to Regan with an emotionless gaze before he broke away from them, seeing how Yue had not dropped her question.
Why would she care about his condition? He was pretty much an empty shell at this point, such things as concern was wasted on him.... and yet, she procceeded to ask. "Kyoto just... brings up old memories that I want to put behind me. That is all.." Tatsumi said slowly, once again breaking eye contact and looking away as to not give Yue the chance to see the look in his eyes that had just barely softened a bit as he said this.

"..Ah, If, you don't want to talk about it, that's alright." Yue said as she noted that his eyes moved away. She decided that Tatsumi would probably tell her what they were going to look for. "Sensei... by chance, would the researching we are doing... It wouldn't happen to involve art would it?"

Good, the less he dabbled on such a subject, the better. The last thing he needed was her on his mind to weaken him. She always was a distraction when his thoughts lingered to those moments they had together...
Tatsumi managed to regain his composure by now as he heard what Yue had asked, and had he remembered how to laugh, he probably would have. Art? Hell, he wished it did, that was one of his favorite subjects to be quite honest. But alas, that was far from it. Though now would be the best time to tell her just why they came. So, his eyes hardening to it's icy demeanor again, he managed to regain his complete composure once again before looking at her, shaking his head slowly. "No, we're searching for any information about a person. He wasn't sure if Yue was familiar with the name, after all she wasn't in the class of 2-B, and the only time that 2-A had been forced to see her was on the train which Yue was asleep on, so chances were that maybe not. None the less, with a soft sigh, he said the name, waiting to see what reaction Yue would have. "We're looking up whatever information we can find on Cassandra Byrde."

Yue shook her head in response. "I've never heard of her." That wasn't of much consequence anyway, as she'd just be researching her to try and find as much about her as possible.

Even though he had expected most students of 2-A to not know of her, he was a little surprised Yue hadn't. She seemed like one of the smarter ones. Then again... she never did seem motivated, so chances were she didn't take the time to go out and try to meet anyone other than the usual people she was with. Instead, as they traveled down the West Wing, Tatsumi thought it was best to start simple and find look through biographies or writings of famous people, someone may have mentioned her somewhere.
"Her name is quite famous, just about any time period would fit for her too. So broaden your search. As well, anything... dark would be proper; especially vampyrism." He said boldly, almost feeling like this was going to be an exciting search and he might actually enjoy this just a little. "This may take awhile though... so if you have to leave or we've taken too much of your time, it's understandable. Once again, Yue was able to see the slightly softer side of Tatsumi as he showed empathy for other peoples feelings and time. Anyone else though he probably wouldn't have said anything to.

She noted Tatsumi's concern for her time. Yue started looking under the given criteria. "That's alright... I generally don't pay much attention to time anyway while in a library..." she said pulling out five books and skimming through them for information.

"For a student, you don't really pay much attention to anything." Tatsumi commented, pointing out her personality as he took took a small pile of books. Most were history writings, pretty broad and general, and he doubted they would have anything, but it was a start. Books were one of the few things that he enjoyed, unlike people, they never betrayed him... Still, his comment seemed like he was leaving it open for her to say something. Whether she would defend herself from his accusation, or maybe tell him just why, he felt it needed to be said. Since he had come to this school, he had never anticipated finding a student with a personality such as his seeing as how so much had happened to form and shape him into the man he was. Yet this teenager had the same, so he felt somewhat curious as to why.

"It's not that I can't pay attention," Yue stated while looking through the books. "It's just that I don't care about studying and grades." She said almost astounding in her bluntness. this was about as close as she'd ever been to telling them about her grandfather.

[MISSION START!]
Researching the Doctor
Characters: Tatsumi Lucifex Yue Ayase Nodoka Miyazaki Regan Hiryuu
For the purposes of this task, the research will be conducted as follows:
:: For every time category (morning, afternoon, evening) that each character spends researching in the library, they may make one Research Check. This consists of rolling a D20 for each character. This check is to be made as soon as the current time period ends.
::The result of the D20 will determine what the character finds out about Cassandra. A roll of one is not necessarily better than a twenty. Each value will have a different 'tale' and a different accompanying piece of information.
::In the event that two characters are to get the same roll, they will receive the same information, with a few different twists; such as different perspectives on the same event.

((Oh cool xD So once it hits afternoon, we roll? I gotcha. 3nodding ))
"You should care," He said in return quite swiftly, almost sounding like he felt insulted by how she seemed to care so little about her grades. " He had no idea just why she was that way when it was obvious she was so intelligent, but it definettly bothered him to see such wasted potential. Even Tatsumi at least had the care back when he was in school to worry about his grades. Then again, that was before he had become the man he was now...
He closed the next book with an audable thud before he gave an icy cold gaze towards Yue, his eyes meeting with hers while he spoke. "You're dangerously close to failing. Is that what you want to be known as? Or do your parents not even care about your success?" His senses as the guidance councilor began to slowly appear as he spoke, beginning to try and convince her that she should take more time into her classwork, and he was going to try and open her eyes a little. He wasn't going to allow some one who he knew was smart to just throw it all away.

((battle of the monotone!!! xD)) Yue merely looked back into his icy eyes and recalled the scene of her grandfather's death. What's the point in the end? we are all mortal, and the love of knowlege is all we really need. "Grades... All they are really is a way for someone to tell you how intelligent you are."

"As true as that may be, that still reflects your future. How do you plan to make a living without having success while you grow?" He couldn't understand just why someone would shove off something that was so important like it meant nothing. Even Tatsumi was baffled by this, and he had a feeling he wasn't going to get through Yue's head unless he started to be a bit more strict. Though he didn't want her to see that side of him, she didn't desreve it.
"What happens in school reflects what you will become. So is it true that you are trying to become a failure? Because the way I see it that is the route you're heading to."

Yue looked away slowly. "I-I don't know... I stopped caring after..." she paused. "...Nodoka, Haruna, and Konoka helped me to start caring about the world again... That's kind of why I only smile towards Nodoka..." She was opening up... seeming to become weaker...

Tatsumi had been on his way to open the next book, but his eyes were still fixated on Yue as she began to look away, her gaze seeming to soften as if he had struck a nerve. It was at this point that Tatsumi had changed his perspective, and continued on with making her realize her mistakes by crushing her morale. This time, using her own philosophy against her. "The world itself is just a series of books if you think about it. And while some of us are its writers, others like yourself are no more than characters, letting others guide your actions and tell you what to do. I don't care if they 'helped you open up', because honestly, you still haven't." He paused for a moment as he crossed his arms, his gaze still firm and cold, setting the record strait for her as he put aside his care for her feelings now, teaching her a harsh lesson the only way he knew how.
"If this is what you consider opening up, then you're pathetic. In my eyes, all I see is a girl who is turning her back on the world and is too weak to open her eyes and accept things for how they are." His words were as cold as the icy look in his eyes, in fact it almost felt as if the air itself had begun to radiate a slight chill. Tatsumi had not even blinked as he looked at her with a gaze that almost seemed like he was disgusted with her, and he continued to tell her the harsh reality, hoping it might make her come to a realization. Even if Tatsumi didn't know what had caused her to be like this, it still didn't make a difference too him, whatever the case; a person could change if you tried. In his case, you just had to break them. "
