The angel gave him a bright smile before walking away, with Gareth chasing after her. When he offered the money, she waved it away with a laugh. "No, no, don't worry about it. My treat. Plus I think you need that money more for diapers for little Kaito." She said, giving Gareth an appraising look with one eyebrow raised, humor in her eyes.
Nanaki was looking all around him in excitement as they entered the fun and loud place. Oooh, he wanted to see everything! Mama and Gareth were talking about something, probably whatever it was the angel had given the ticket man, and whatever it was that Gareth had pulled out of the little leather square.
While the two were talking, though, Nanaki looked around and smelled something funny. It was somewhat familiar, an acrid smell like ashes. It made him think of... "Walk, Walk!" He stated loudly, pointing in the direction of the man with the cigarette.

That furry child the winged woman was carrying was pointing in his direction! Was he found out already? Damn! That kid must be psyhic or something thought the stranger as he hastily dropped his ciggarette and grounded it with the heel of his of his shoe. This was bad if he aroused the suspicion of the adult. Better get going before I am found out thought the stranger as he slipped quietly behind a random booth selling cotton candy.
Gareth was shocked. "Surely raising a baby can't be that expensive. I'm sure I wasn't," said Gareth as he folded his wallet and slid it into the pocket of his pants. "But thank you for the treat,"
Kaito turned to the direction pointed by Nanaki but nothing out of the ordinary was seen. Sure, there was that funny man with smoke coming out of his mouth but he had gone now while their guardians were talking about something or the other. "Gaaaa?" Kaito said clearly expressing his puzzlement over the excitement of the other.

Nikomas looked fairly confused as Nanaki started demanding the word "Walk," while pointing in a direction off by a cotton candy booth. Was he trying to say 'Walker,' or 'Walk for cotton candy?' Or maybe something else entirely.
Frowning, she looked over at the booth just in time to see the tail of a coat disappear behind it. Her suspicion slightly aroused, she turned back to Gareth with a shrug and a small grin. "Well, I can't imagine a teenager has alot of money to spare on a baby. I'm sure there're things you want for yourself, so if I can help you save anything, then I'm happy." She said with a smile.
Were they ignoring him? Nanaki knew he saw Walker, or whatever his name was. The weird guy with the burning stick that gave him to the angel. "Walk! Walk!" He demanded again, waving his finger in the direction of the booth, his gold eyes insistent.

Did the angel know that the baby was his? Did he somehow gave off that impression? Gareth wanted to ask but decided against it. It might cause some awkwardness at best and lots of explaining to do at a police station at worst. Well, at least he's not biologically mine thought Gareth to himself But rather technically as it was forced onto me... To the angel however, Gareth merely smiled before turning to see what had caused Nanaki to be excited. The young child had chanted the words 'walk, walk!' and pointed in the direction of the cotton candy booth. The cotton candy being sold there were huge and full of sugary delight. Gareth could understand the kid's excitement. He had been excited over cotton candy when he was younger too.
Kaito shifted uneasily in the carrier attached to Gareth. Nanaki was acting strange but Kaito could not understand the reason why and by the look his 'parent' was giving, neither did Gareth. The other 'big person' though seemed to be eyeing the direction indicated by 'Nana' seriously. "Waal," said Kato trying to mimick the other but somehow not completely capable of pronouncing the 'k' sound just yet.

Shrugging to herself, she gave Gareth a smile before asking "So I guess it's cotton candy, then?" Nikomas bounced Nanaki a little bit, before walking towards the sweet stand. "Want some cotton candy, Nana?" She cooed to the baby, rubbing a hand through his little mohawk.
Nanaki made a face as Nikomas ran her fingers through his hair. "Walk, Walk!" He still insisted, shaking his head though the cotton candy smelled so good... He quickly got distracted as they approached the stand, and the sweet smell tingled his sensitive nose. "Gaahhh."

Gareth followed the angel as she led the way to the cotton candy stand. Her child seemed rather put off over something but was quickly losing interest in whatever it was as they neared the stand. Ruffling Kaito's hair a little Gareth peered down at his charge. "What about you Kaito? Want to get a taste of junk food?"
"Foo?" gurgled Kaito as he cocked his head and eyed his parent. The word sounded odd and Kaito wasn't entirely sure of what it meant. But the little one was starting to get hungry. It had been ages since he had had a meal and the blue haired infant began sucking his fist while looking expectantly at his parent.
It looked as though he was off the hook for now and the stranger allowed himself a sigh of relief. He would continue to stalk them of course but now he'd have to play it safe and observe them from a distance as the thought of a wallet full of money was simply too tempting to resist.

Niko asked for a large stick of strawberry cotton candy, turning briefly to grin at Kaito, while waiting for the man behind the booth to finish her stick. "Want some cotton candy, Kaito? It's gooooddd." She said, laughing as she exaggerated the last word.
Nanaki watched eagerly as the man in the booth spun the white stick around, bright pink wispy stuff gathering on the cone. "Oooh." He gurgled, waving his hands towards it, though something acrid still tickled his nose, causing him to make a face. "Blaahh."

Kaito stared at the offered treat with interest. It was fluffy and cuddly looking and it was probably called 'gooooddd' since the angel was referring to it. Extending his drool coated hand, Kaito giggled and repeated after the angel. "Gooooddd."
"Oh dear, you have got drool all over your hands," said Gareth and took out a piece of tissue to clean the infant's hand. Satisfied that it was sufficiently clean, Gareth then turned to the cotton candy seller and placed his order for a vanilla flavoured cotton candy. While awaiting the said candy seller to finish making the cotton candy, Gareth's eyes caught sight of a nearby booth. It was one of those shooting booths where prizes could be earned provided that sufficient amount of bottles have been knocked down. Gareth was interested as he had once won a prize in such a competition. Casting a glance at the cotton candy seller ( the cotton candy seller was nowhere near finishing Gareth's cotton candy just yet), Gareth stepped up to the shooting booth to inspect the offered prizes.
"Care for a shot at it mister?" the person in charge of the booth enquired as Gareth aproached the shooting range. "We have got some mighty fine prizes."
"I would like three tries please" said Gareth as he paid the person in charge. However, it was only after Gareth had paid the person in charge that the teenage boy realized how difficult it would be to actually aim with a baby strapped to your front. Looking sheepish, Gareth gave a glance toward the angel. "Umm...would you mind holding Kaito for a moment? I promise it won't take long..,"
Aha! So the boy would be trying his hand at the shooting range would he? And he hadasked the winged woman to look after the blue haired kid while he wasat it. This was the perfect opportnity to strike! Having thusly made up his mind, the stranger then made his way casually to where the youth was and eyed the wallet in the teenager's jeans with interest.

((No worries xD))
Nikomas followed him as he moved to the next booth while waiting, and she raised an eyebrow when she saw it was a shooting booth, though she nodded when he asked her to hold Kaito. "I think I can probably manage." She said with a smile, giving the stick of cotton candy to Nanaki to hold, while carefully balancing Kaito in the crook of one of her arms.
Nanaki giggled with delight as he was handed the pink cottony stuff on a stick, and immediately tried gnawing on it. And discovered the substance otherwise known as cotton candy. And it's tendencies when it came in contact with saliva.
"Gaaahh..." He grumbled, the now sticky pink stuff around his lips and on his fingers. It was slightly caught in the baby's fur, and it felt weeiiirdd. And not a good weird. Nanaki couldn't smell anything over the sweet candy smell invading his nose, but his gold eyes did notice the funny looking back staring at the teenager's backside. ''Butt?" He asked the man curiously, the first intelligent word to come from his mouth.
The angel looked at Nanaki with a frown as she heard him speak, before looking up towards the sketchy looking man that was standing behind Gareth. She moved to stand between the two, giving the man a quizzical look. "Can I help you sir?"

Kaito was surprised when Gareth took him out of the carrier and handed him over to the other grown up. It felt odd being carried by another and Kaito squirmed a little but did not put up much of a fuss. At the sight of a disgruntled Nanaki covered in cotton candy however, Kaito began giggling and reached over to pat the other. Upon contact with the other’s fur, Kaito’s hand became sticky as well and the blue haired child was surprised. Rubbing his sugar covered hand across the shirt that Gareth had made him wear, Kaito then turned his attention back to the angel that was carrying him. She seemed to be talking to some weird stranger who looked as if he rather not be spotted.
Gareth on the other hand, was oblivious to the conversation between Nikomas and the stranger that was going on behind him as he concentrated on hitting the target. Taking aim, Gareth pulled the trigger and was pleased when the cork hit its intended target. Fitting another cork into the gun, Gareth took another aim and pulled the trigger once more and once again the intended target was hit. Nodding to himself in a sort of satisfied manner, Gareth then fitted the last cork into the barrel of the gun. If he could hit the target just once more, he would be able to have the prize that he had had his eyes on. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Gareth then took careful aim and fired. The cork flew and as if in slow motion, found its mark. Joy flooded the teenager and Gareth gave a triumphant whoop.
“Nah, nothing, nothing,” the stranger mumbled as the winged being stepped between him and his victim. It would seem that that red furball the woman was carrying had something against him or something as his plan was twice foiled by the little critter. Attempting a sort of smile that was supposed to be reassuring but looked frightening in the glare of the carnival’s light, the stranger pointed to Gareth who was busy aiming and fidgeted “He’s a good shot, he is. Can’t a fellow watched without being hit on?” But things changed when after the third shot, Gareth could be heard crowing with delight. With a speed that was almost unnatural, the stranger gave Nikomas a hard shove and in a split second later had his hands in the teenager’s pocket. With a deft tug, the wallet came out easily and the stranger began making a beeline for the shadows between the booths. Not the most subtle of his tactics, but it’d have to do given the situation.

The angel reacted fast; she didn't even have time to get offended at the comment about "being hit on." The moment she felt the shove on her shoulder, thankfully not the arm that was holding Kaito, her wings flared open and broke the force from the shove. "Gareth!" She managed to say his name, though the stranger's hand had already darted into the teenager's pocket and fled towards the booths.
And she was burdened by the babies...Dammit. Glowering at his retreating back, she held a hand in front of her, mumbling under her breath in Elvish. Her hand glowed green, and a green tinted wall that looked like glass materialized right in front of the man, stopping him from going forward, hopefully knocking him down.
Nanaki took a moment to register the abrupt movement, the sticky stuff on his face having proven a great distraction. When he felt his mother fall backwards then brace herself, he started making agitated burbling sounds, waving his stick-i-fied little hands in distress.
"Gaah, baah!"

What was this?Did I run into something? thought the thief as he nearly lost his balance during the collision with the barrier that Nikomas had created. Preplexed, the pick pocket stared ahead of him and noticed a sort of greenish shimmering wall that seemed be in his path. Letting out an inaudible curse, the stranger was about to alter his direction when his arm was firmly grasped by a strong and rather rough hand.
"Whoa, steady there fellow. Fancy seeing you here on my day off," said the owner of the hand and the pick pocket paled considerably. He knew that voice and loathed it.
At the sight of the thief looking for all the world like a drowned rat, the owner of the voice let out a hearty chuckle and frog marched the sullen crook over to where Nikomas and Gareth stood. “He’s been causing you trouble ma’am?” the arm owner enquired. “I’m officer Gates, Warren Gates at your service and this ere’ bandit happens to be one of my local customers. Course’ the missus and I weren’t expecting him here. What manner of mischief has he done now?”
“He stole my wallet,” Gareth said as he made a motion to retrieve Kaito from the angel’s arm. “He did it while I was at the shooting booth,”
“You don’t say,” said the officer with another hearty laugh before giving the crook a rough shake. “You av’ moved up in the world haven’t ya? You used to target them ol’ ladies and now I find you targeting young kids. Though of course…,” here the officer paused to give Nikomas and Gareth a thoughtful look. “It being my day off and all, I’d have to call a friend o’ mine over. You might have to answer some questions and stuff at the station; nothing hard, just em’ standard sort o’ questions,”

She smiled happily enough as the thief fell to the ground after hitting her shield, looking incredibly confused as well as lying on the grass. Just before an plain clothes officer grabbed him.
She merely nodded in agreement with Gareth's statements, surrendering Kaito to him with a small smile, while holding Nanaki closer to herself in the carrier. He was calming down now, thankfully enough. His full attention was now on the sticky pink stuff on his face, getting it on his little nails and fingers.
The angel watched the officer and Gareth speaking, and at the mention of going to the station to answer some questions, she regretfully shook her head. "I'm afraid I can't do that. I need to get home and give this one a bath, and take care of his sister as well. I can give you my phone number, and you can call me if you still need to ask some questions." Nikomas said, bouncing Nanaki a little.
He was starting to get sleepy... All the fighting with the cottony pink stuff tuckered the little baby out, and the small amount of excitement from the weird man that smelled like smoke didn't energize him at all.
"Seep?" Nanaki craned his head backwards to look at his mother, gold eyes wide.

The officer nodded in understanding and grinned as the infant in the angel's arm said "Seep". It reminded him if the time when his own children were learning how to talk. Scratching his head with one hand while still keeping a firm grip on the criminal with the other, officer Gates turned his attention to the teenager and his blue haired brother. The teenager looked a trifle pale; Perhaps due to the excitement thought the officer as he eyed the duo kindly. The little one seems quite attached to the big one
Then turning to exchange a few words with a woman who was probably his 'missus', officer Gates took the stolen wallet out of the pick pocket's hand and handed it over to Gareth. Then with an equally easygoing smile, the officer nodded in Nikomas' direction. "Seems fair ma'am. I'll handle the crook myself with Tom at the station. Now you have a safe journey back you hear?"
Saying thus, the officer then led the sullen crook away as an interested crowd looked on.
Gareth had paled at the thought of the questioning session in the station as he had no idea how he was going to explain Kaito's situation. He might even be thrown into the same cell as that pick pocket! That thought troubled the teenager greatly. At Nikomas's request of not going to the station however, the teenager brightened up and stared eagerly as the officer contemplated this request and accepted the offered wallet gratefully.
When the officer mentioned that he could handle the crook himself at the station, Gareth felt a huge bubble of relief as he watched the officer leading the pick pocket away from the carnival.
When both the officer and the pick pocket was gone, Gareth gave a glance at his watch and was surprised at the lateness of the hour. Turning to face the angel, Gareth smiled. "I really must be off now but thanks for everything Nikomas! For the funfair's entrance as well as for stopping that pick pocket,"
Kaito watched Gareth curiously as he talked to the other grown up and when Gareth told the little one to say "Bye Bye" to Nanaki, the blue haired infant merely cocked his head to one side and said "Nana?"

The angel smiled warmly at Gareth, waving a hand dismissively. "It's perfectly fine, I don't mind covering for a friend when it's a little money. As for the pickpocket, I was just lucky I got the shield up in time." She said with a small grin, scratching Nanaki gently behind the ears, eliciting a crooning sort of purr from him.
"So it's goodbye for now then, I guess. You can feel free to hunt down me or Nanaki for more playtime with Kaito, if you'd like." Nikomas gave him an encouraging smile, looking down at Nanaki and holding his little hand up to wave 'bye bye.'
Nanaki heard his name, and looked over at Kaito. A delighted smile came to his face, and he clapped his hands with a happy gurgle despite his mother holding one of them.
"Kai-kai!" He crowed, waving his hands towards Kaito. "Pay 'gain?" Nanaki asked with another smile, his thumb making it's way to his mouth.
