After hours of training with Chrono, she decided it was enough. "Chrono, we're done. Ailes is going to wake up soon and we need to get Toole back, now!"

Chrono grumbled and vanished the single scythe away, and called in his double sided scythe, "fine, fine... but you get to open the portal... I haven't showed you how..." He sets the double sided scythe in her hand and took her small single scythe.

She follows him struggling to hold the scythe upright. She hasnt quite understood why he is walking around looking up at the sky, but suddenly he stopped, "okay, can you feel it?"

Akuma stares at him completely lost, "feel what?" she looks up at the sky and looks back at him.

He gives her an irritated look, "bah, hold on a second." He places his hands along side her head, "hmmm, you need to be trained by your father... I figured you would be more sensitive to things, but you are basically human when it comes to your senses..." Chrono lowered his hands in a bit of disappointment, "Well, right now we are standing above the portal to Arynia. See?" A large white circle appeared under Chrono's feet. It had a bunch of symbols representing Arynia, then also had the name spelled out in the native language of the Abyss.
"I'll have to teach you to read the language, but you will never need to know how to speak it... that will die with me." He sighs and pulls her to the middle of the circle, "well, swing."

She stares at him with hollow eyes, "I can't..."

"What do you mean you can't!" Chrono yells, "You've been doing it all morning!!!"

Akuma glares at him, "The weight difference between me and the scythe is to great. I'll swing it, and the other blade will take out my head!" Her eye twitches at his ignorance.

Chrono sighs, "That's why you are a psychic! You can use your powers to balance out the weight!" He comes up behind her and positions her hands under his, "Okay, if you swing the scythe forward, the other blade will come up over your other shoulder. See?" He shows her how to swing it, then backs away, "Okay, balance out the weight, then take a few practice swings. When you are ready step back into the circle and swing."

Akuma steps out of the circle, and stares at the scythe in her hands. She concentrates to get it to equal the weight of her other scythe, and then swings. Well, that wasn't so bad, she thought in her head as she takes another swing. Soon, she's swinging it like it were any other scythe, which was a problem.

Chrono grabs the staff of the weapon, "that's enough hot shot, before you lose your head."

She turns to look at him like "what are you talking about?" then comes face to face with the other blade; inches from her face. She pales, "okay... I'll just go to the circle now..."

She steps into the middle of the circle, and looks at a small purple blob in front of her. She looks back at Chrono, slightly confused, then looks back at the blob. Swinging the scythe to cut the blob in half she slices open a swirling vortex, that begins pulling her in.

"Come on girly, time to attend a party." Chrono looks over his shoulder at the dragon sitting on the ground in disbelief, " you coming dragon boy?"

Kaos is sitting down by Lillith's pond relaxing, Hmmmmm... she's late? That’s a first... you'd think Chrono would be on her a** about this. he thinks its so important that she gets her Psychic training in because its her main defense.

He hears a noise behind him and glances over his shoulder to see his beloved daughter hauling a** to make it over here.

"you're late..." Kaos frowns and stands up.

Akuma collapses on her back and gasps for air, "yeah, well... you try... having Chrono.... for an instructor..."

Kaos smiles, "sweetie, Chrono has been my friend for Many years... I know how much of a hard a** he can be, but its for your own good," he pulls her to her feet and holds her arms above her head, "you need to stay up and let your lungs fill with air."

“Okay okay! Let go of me!” Akuma complains and squirms out of his grasp.

Kaos smiles and walks to the edge of the pond, “Okay since this is the only place with Actual water, we have to train here.”

Akuma lowers her arms and Joins her father at the pond’s edge. He looks over and smiles at her, “today we‘re going to work on your psychic flow,” They exchange glances and Kaos begins his lesson.

“okay, I‘m going to make my barriers colored so you can see what I‘m doing. First you place a barrier in the center of the water, and another barrier in the shape of a half cylinder.” Two red tinted barriers appear in the water one is in the middle of the pond the other has one end partially in the water, “then you bring the flat barrier gliding up to the cylinder barrier and push the water in,” the water goes into the cylinder and he pulls the barrier up to keep the water going, “and basically its just like a hula hoop after that. You keep moving your power to keep the water from falling. And then when you get really good, you can move it in other directions!” Kaos brings the water spiraling up his body and swirls it around to spell Akuma’s name and then lets it slide back into the pond from which it originated.

Kaos smirks, “think you got it?”

Akuma glares and rolls up her sleeves. She puts one barrier in the water and a half cylinder on the edge of the pond. Pushing one forward she collects the water in the cylinder and pushed it out the top.

Kaos grins, “twas a bit too hard, sweetie… go a little slower.”

Akuma glares at him again and starts over. Kaos comes up behind Akuma and puts his hands along side hers. They both go through the steps again and Akuma actually gets it up and rotating through a few rotations, then she gets too far ahead of her self and its spills out on the ground.

“Gawd damnit!!!” Akuma shouts and flings a barrier at a tree, which shakes it violently.

Kaos’s eyes get huge and he grabs Akuma by the waist, “RUN!”

A swarm of Tree sprites come pouring out of the tree in a fury screeching about the damage done to their tree. it’s a good thing that the Manor yard was so close or they would have been done for.

“Gah, Akuma! Why did you have to attack the tree…. Why!?” Kaos collapses from his full out sprint back to the Manor.

Akuma gets up and dusts herself off, “I’m sorry I‘m sorry. I just forgot… and got frustrated… I‘m sure you‘d rather me hit a tree over you!”

He laughs, “if this were any other place, fine! Hit the tree… but it’s the Abyss… so yes, I‘d rather you hit me over the god damned trees!”

Akuma rolls her eyes and walks up to the manor for lunch leaving her father to laugh on the ground.

Kaos sits up and shouts, “Don‘t forget to practice!!!”

Kaos pauses for a moment and seems to be in deep concentration, but it wasnt on healing; his mind was elsewhere.



A large explosion of energy surrounded the lone lightening demon and the group backed away confused and alarmed. a ghostly image of Kaos appeared and glared at the leader, "And here i expected better of you! you being one of my students in the past life! shame shame! i'll deal with you when i get back! now leave her be!"

Kaos bent down by the demon and kissed her hand, "my my, they're still picking on you, huh?"

The demon looked up and wrapped her arms around the figure of Kaos

"there there, its okay now... they wont be back, but try to get used to your surroundings soon, because i wont be able to protect you forever you know."

The girl smiled and nodded, then ran off to seek shelter.

A deep voice echoed through Sorrow's head, "heh, you're a fool if you think this storm will blow over so easily... i'd quit your dancing and do some damage before she kills you."

Merril had a weak laugh; "Your mother was weak, incapable of killing a dragon, and went so far as to commit gross violations of our race. You are one such violation, and when she finally was caught we gave her the choice to either murder both you and the dragon or die. Its amazing how weak she was, she accepted the only one that granted her life, and it ended up being her death. I passed sentence on her but your father killed her, and I watched him do it. Watched him plead for her to stop, but in the end he cut her down and buried the truth in a lie to you. You've been searching for a mother that is already dead, the clues you've gotten are nothing more then lies fed to you by your father in order to maintain the lie. My death will not stop the attacks on the city, if anything they will inrease them, until you die that city will never see peace, and all your family will suffer for generations."

Sorrow didn't believe her, but her words were infuriating. "Let them come, let them try and kill me, because if you were the strongest then my temper is stronger." Sorrow closed in, Merril smiled as Sorrow stood just feet from her, and she gathered the remaining ability she had into one strike. Sorrow set her swords and chose their pattern.

Merill spoke; "The better decided in one last atack, if only wars could be decided in such a thing, but are you ready to die?" Sorrow Shot forward, Merril level her arm and the huge bolt of lighting shot forward.

The illusion of sorrow burned away in the lighting, Merril's eyes went wide as she swug around only to have her gut ripped wide open. Sorrow thrust her hand in and pulling out Merrils intestines she wrapped them around her thoat and began to choke the life out of her. "you know the best part about this place is, i get to kill you as much as i want after this."

Sorrow let go and Merrils body fell on the ground. She spit on it and walked away.

Sorrow paused looking at the large land mass. "What the hell, and how can he be in two places at once?" Sorrow just sat on a nearby rock watching the landmass and Kaos running after it.

"I guess it would be too much for the afterlife if he got some wings." Sorrow slid down off the rock and took off after Koas, coming in behind him she dove to get a large amount of speed for the load she was about to place on herself. She grabbed him under the arms and swooped up pushing hard with her wings to gain altitude for the landmass. "Why are you teaching such things if you can't fly?"

Sorrow rolled her eyes; "Keep your focus on the student at hand, or i will drop you for wasting my time." Sorrow caught up to the landmass, and set Koas down. She looked around as she streched her wings before folding them back into place behind her.
