Walden- Life in Nature
Take a pic!
The day began as any other would as far as I was concerned. The sun was high in the sky, and the birds chirped sweetly at the sunlight. Ah fall. It was brisk, and yet a time to ease back and enjoy nature. After all, I was reading Walden.
Ah Thoreau, my dear old friend. Nature was thy music, was it not? Your words sing out so clearly to me about your life in the woods, near Walden Pond. Your log cabin, built from scratch...Living so deliberately! Ah how I wish to fallow your steps one day. Of course, that was impossible. Home had become havoc. At least my mind was eased at the knowledge of 'my eldest' marrying his lady love. Oh Noah. You'll never forgive me for all that I did, will you? Aleya will be quite happy, though.
At that thought, I sat up, staring up at the azure sky. Summer would be ending soon, and then the crisp breeze of the fall would return. How long had it been since I had been in band? A few years. Give or take. I missed the friday nights, hellishly hot or chilling. The hot chocolate and hot dogs that became free to us at the end made it all worth while. Of course, that was until my Junior year.
I dismissed the memories of the pure agony of homework and turned my attention to something dancing down from the sky. A feather? Feather....
Wasn't that what my 'children' used to be? A feather? I had never seen one of these, save for the few visits to Arukesuki's shop and a few fleeting glances. Noah had been a child when we met. Armond was fully grown...Delilah and Webster were both children as well! Could this perhaps be one of those?
I caught the object, thinking it to be pure white like the wings of the others. However, the feather was a deep shadowy black. I frowned at seeing it. Nocturns. Did they even come from feathers? I tried to recall if there had been any, and memory fleeted away.
It was worth a shot, anyway. Just tie a charm on? Blam, child? She hadn't really explained it to me, had she? Noah was just...There.
At that, I returned my trip inside to consult with Aru-chan a bit more.
