"Ter!" Reese perked so violently he lost his tread, dunking under the water for a second. He came up sputtering, shaking his hair out of his face as he regained his buoyancy. He knew Ter!
"I know Ter! And Baroneth too!" He was beaming. So this was Ter's dad, huh? Well, that explained why the snake boy was so cool. "They came with me and Thee and Hinder to the water park! He'th awethome!"

Orpheus's eyes went a little wide at that bit of information, "You know Ter? Ahhh! I see." He murmured, so he and Z were hanging out with some of the younger students? He wondered for a moment if that were a good or bad thing but Reese seemed happy enough with the meeting, "I hope that they were nice to you."

Reese nodded his head vigorously, the water around him rippling with the movement. Then again, this was Reese...and after all his time with Z, the only thing he'd see as malicious teasing would have been an outright attack on either the cobra or the dragon's part.
"They're great. Baroneth ith huge! Thee thaid Hinder'th probly gonna get that big too...it'th gonna be so cool! I wath thcared at firtht, but now I hope my dragon geth that big thomeday." Man, he talked fast when he had the motivation to.

The teacher gave a laugh, "Its good to hear that Ter is getting along with people, he seems to be a fan of picking fights with his older brother and... well a lot of other people so I was a little worried." It was good to hear that despite everything Ter was making friends.
"Ready to try this again?" He asked, when it seemed that Reese had once more caught his breath despite is speed talking.

"Huh? Oh! Oh yeah!" Reese said eagerly, remembering that this was class. He looked out at the water again, wondering if he could do it. He wanted to do it. He could do it! After all, how hard was it to grab things with his tail? Not very hard at all! Most of the time he did it without thinking.
"Maybe I'm thinking too mush," he muttered mostly to himself. He swam out to the area above water. He wouldn't have to hold his breath so long. He looked down at the target.
When he took his breath to dive down, he swam off to the side, going around in a circle. He took a moment to look at the ring and to get his aim. He went for it at what felt to him like a snail's pace, but he wasn't going to miss it this time! Even if he had to crawl past it, he was going to get that ring!
Though it was a whole lot easier to make sure he wasn't swimming too high or wide when he went slower. And this time as he swam past, it was dead on. The curl of his tail hooked through the ring and snagged it instantly on pure reflex.
He came up cheering, quickly swimming over to his teacher, "I did it! I did it!" he shouted over the water as he came closer.
"Orpheuth, I did it!" he stated again, curling his tail up to his hands and grabbing the ring, waving it in the air triumphantly.

Orpheus sank under the water once more to watch as Reese circled around his target once more and this time when he swam passed it his tail was able to catch a ring quite easily. He surfaced before the seahorse did and gave a smile at the boy's cheering.
The teacher lifted his hands up to clap, "That was excellent Reese! Wonderful job." He complimented his student, "From here on its mostly practice on your part to be able to perfect the skill. Its also up to you to decide how to use it to your advantage."
He moved to the edge of the pool, pulling himself up to sit on the edge, "You can practice more now if you like, as much as you like. I don't have any more classes for a few hours yet." He told him, "But the class is basically done now that you have the gist of your skill down. Congratulations, you've passed."

Reese was all smiles. He couldn't stop! He was just so amazed that he'd finally gotten it; how awesome!! He bobbed happily in the water, listening to Orpheus speak...giving a giddy squeal when the teacher said he'd passed.
"Thankth a lot, Orpheuth. Thith hath been tho mush fun!"
He looked over at Wilbur, pleased to see the butler had put down his book to watch the goings on. He was smiling as well, obviously very proud of the boy, and clapped his hands quietly when he noticed Reese was looking at him.
"Well done, Young Sir!" Wilbur called, giving a thumbs up. "I do think it's time to go home, though. Your father will want to hear about your performance today!"
Reese laughed and nodded some before looking at his teacher again, "Thankth again, Orpheuth." He swam over to the teacher, wrapping his arms around one of his legs in a hug...looking up at him with a grateful smile.
"Can I come back thometime and practith later? Your pool ith a lot cooler than mine," he said, a grin on his face. Though, the pool at home was easier to get in and out of. Which would remind him...he'd need help getting back into his wheelchair.

"Your welcome to come to swim anytime you like, just make sure to call ahead first and I will make sure that either myself or someone else capable is here to play the part of the lifeguard." He told the seahorse before he reached down to pluck Reese from the water carefully and placed him back in his seat, "There you go."
"A letter will be sent to your place soon with a first from me to you, look forward to it." He said to Reese before turning to look over at Wilbur and smiled, "I thank you for your patience in waiting during the class."

"No trouble at all. It was nice to have a moment to myself," Wilbur said with a chuckle as he made his way over to the pair. While the teacher hefted Reese out of the pool, the butler would reach into the backpack on Reese's chair to pull out a towel for the child to dry himself with.
"Okay!" Reese had said cheerfully to Orpheus's instructions, landing with a wet sound plop on his chair. Maybe Ter could come swimming with him sometime. That would be fun to have a swimming buddy as cool as the snake boy.
"Come along, Young Sir. Say goodbye to Mr. Orpheus," Wilbur instructed...setting himself behind the wheelchair, prepared to push Reese out of the room.
The boy wouldn't protest. His arms were a little tired from swimming, and he was glad to have someone to guide him out.
"Goodbye, Orpheuth! Thankth again!"
