I believe I now know the meaning of the phrase "And then his heart stood still."
His heart, his mind, even his body seemed frozen in response to what the mare had said. Her Nirvana. Another soquili. It was obvious what the meaning of that was even to his over-analyzing mind. He had stopped smiling while he struggled to come to grips with that meaning and struggled even harder to understand what the answering reaction within himself was. Could it be true that one could find one's nirvana so quickly?
Could it be that he had found his own?
"I think..." He trailed off, lost within his own words. "I believe," he started again with a much clearer voice. "I believe that my own nirvana may be a soquili as well... though I cannot claim to understand it..." He corrected himself with a soft smile. "Understand her yet."
He gave Symphony an inquisitive look from his deep red eyes. "Perhaps I could spend some time getting to know my particular nirvana a little better?"

Symphony's own heart about exploded with joy as he said, 'his nirvana' She smiled with delight and her eyes shone with a bright wettness. With joy. She took a hesitant step toward him, then streached out her nose and gave him a fierce nuzzle on the neck, never wanting to let him go. She inhaled his sweet scent deeply, feeling it calm her thoughts and give her peace of mind.
She said softly, "I'd like that, my own Nirvana has me a bit mystefied as well." A quirky little smile settled onto her face, and she sighed deeply, content at last.
Though the end has only just begun.
